Chapter 2: Meeting

A while later.

In the streamer's field of view, a fully armed and clothed player could be seen hiding in one of the rooms in the east building.

It was obvious at one glance that the livestreamer was in the other player's blindspot as the player didn't even react nor fire his weapon at him.

The player was still constantly scanning the other buildings without knowing that a player had already locked on to his position.

It was at this moment that Kinsley finally heard the streamer's soft and playful voice of a man as he said. "Look what I found! A free kill! Haha… then, don't mind if I do~!"

Kinsley couldn't be more clear as to who this voice belonged to. It was none other than his little brother, Elliot.

His doubts from earlier were dispelled the instant he heard Elliot's voice. He remained silent as he patiently waited for Elliot's next course of action.

In the next moment, Elliot controlled his character and silently zoomed in on the scope of his sniper rifle.

He then smoothly adjusted to aim the crosshair at the unknowing player's head before he decisively shot the sniper bullet.

Bang!

The sound of the gunshot disrupted the silence of the area. What followed after that was the appearance of the striking red kill notification that each player received.

[papi_elliot has killed do0m15h!]

Elliot killed the poor player in one hit.

After that, he immediately controlled his character and chose another spot to hide in while he silently searched for the remaining players' whereabouts.

Not long later.

He found another player. But this time, the player already noticed him and immediately fired at him.

Elliot didn't push his luck to confront his enemy. Instead, he went to find another hiding spot to hunt the others.

Like this, he continued to roam his building. He would simply run to other areas if the enemy already noticed his arrival. If they didn't, he would decisively kill them in one shot.

Elliot fully showcased his astonishing hand control and godly maneuverability.

His ghost-like figure silently roamed the battlefield. The long snipe rifle in his hands was like the sharp sickle of the god of death that harvested lives like crops.

In the end, Elliot eliminated all the players and achieved a flawless victory.

A huge winning announcement was then displayed on Elliot's game screen: Winner Winner Turkey Dinner!

...

Kinsley blinked his eyes and took a long deep breath to suppress the excitement in his heart. He opened the video's comment section to read the response of the netizens.

There were tons of comments that expressed their excitement, but Kinsley was too lazy to read all of them. Instead, he opted to read the two most-liked comments among the bunch.

[@oneshotkill: I need help! I think Elliot's more deserving to use my username. What do I do?]

[@crazed_daemon: Respect! Respect! Respect! Important things need to be said thrice! Haha!]

Those two comments also had at least hundreds of replies below them, but Kinsley didn't bother to read them this time.

He closed the comment section with a small smile on his lips. He was of course extremely happy that Elliot had a lot of fans who supported him. He also felt a bit of pride in his heart as Elliot's older brother.

After that, Kinsley wanted to watch more of his little brother's videos and scrolled up to watch videos after videos.

A long while later.

Kinsley felt that he should've already watched at least twenty short videos in less than 10 minutes. This was terrifying. He didn't even notice the passage of time.

He took a deep breath and resisted the urge to watch more videos. When he had sufficiently calmed down, Kinsley went back to Elliot's profile page and clicked the follow button.

[You have followed @papi_elliot! You can press the bell button to receive push notifications!]

Kinsley unhesitatingly clicked the bell button before he closed the system notification. He went back to scrolling on Elliot's profile page but didn't watch a video.

He found that most of Elliot's videos had an average of million views. Moreover, he found that Elliot had a lot of dubbing videos and he was even talented at it.

Right now, Kinsley felt nothing more than to call his younger brother and ask him about his deeply hidden fame and secret hobby. But on second thought, this approach might come off as too intrusive of his little brother's affairs.

Thus, he decided to refrain from asking Elliot about it unless the young man took the initiative to tell him.

He thought that it should be alright as long as Elliot was happy and wasn't stepping on other people's interests. (A/N: It's an idiom in the Philippines that means no matter what a person did, they are good as long as they didn't inflict harm or malice to others.)

Kinsley relaxed a little and felt the restlessness in his heart calming down bit by bit. He resumed scrolling on Elliot's profile page and found that despite Elliot's popularity, there weren't any videos that showed his face.

He didn't know whether to feel glad at Elliot's humble personality or distressed at his low self-confidence.

Kinsley was just about to scroll once more when his eyes inadvertently glanced at the time displayed on his phone.

[13:55]

He had a doctor's appointment at two o'clock in the afternoon. Thus, he had to get going now or he'd be late for his appointment.

Kinsley sighed and immediately closed the app. He then stood up and left the lobby under the stares of several people. He headed in the elevator's direction and pressed the up button then silently waited for it to arrive.

Then at the corner of his eyes, Kinsley noticed a tall man in an exquisite white suit walking in his direction.

When Kinsley glanced at the man, he was met with a pair of purple and red phoenix eyes that were silently looking at him.

Kinsley's eyelids twitched before he directed his gaze away from the man. He wasn't interested in having a staring competition with a stranger, so he could only fix his eyes in front of him while waiting for the doors to open.

On the other hand, when the man saw Kinsley's face, there was a momentary surprise that fleeted past his eyes before it disappeared and was replaced with a calm look.

He remained silent and just stood two meters away from Kinsley. He patiently waited for the elevator to open as well.

A few seconds later.

The doors of the elevator parted open and revealed the empty space inside.

Kinsley was the first to step inside the elevator as he pressed the button to the fourth floor before he took a step back and gave space for the man to enter.

When the man stepped inside the elevator, he silently pressed the fifth-floor button and stood in the corner.

There wasn't anyone following them inside. Thus, the elevator didn't take too long to close its doors and move floor by floor.

For some reason, the atmosphere inside the elevator felt a bit awkward.

They didn't say anything to break the awkwardness at all and just quietly waited for the elevator to arrive on their respective floors.

Kinsley initially thought that it would be a silent and peaceful lift. However, what he didn't expect was the instant the elevator arrived on the 4th floor, the man suddenly turned around to face him and blocked his way outside.

Kinsley was taken aback at the man's abrupt actions. He thought that the man might have a few screws loose in his head and visited the hospital to get himself treated.

Thus, he didn't say anything to the man and just tried to squeeze his way out by walking around the man.

However, Kinsley didn't expect the man to move to the side and blocked his way out once more. He gritted his teeth to remain calm and tried to walk to the other side as well. But, the man remained persistent and didn't let him leave the elevator again and again.

In the end, his patience ran out. He couldn't endure it any longer and furrowed his brows in displeasure as he questioned, "What are you doing, sir? Please step aside!"
