Chapter 26: Real father is a gangster
The Lin family home awaited a miracle that would bring good news from the trip to Flower Village. The success they got would earn them more recognition and government projects in the future.
Recently, Wang Changli noticed something different about her daughter. Lin Yaoha was always carrying a lovestruck look on her face. She was always dazed and smiling for no reason.
They were having breakfast and it was getting frustrating to see that look on her face and calling her more than twice to tell her to pass the food.
How could someone be so dumb? She wondered who Lin Yaoha took after. Her daughter falling in love brought trouble for them years back. Lin Yaoha had been arranged for an engagement with a wealthy family but she disappeared for a while and came back pregnant. To make matters worse,the father was unknown.
This brought shame to her family. She had tried convincing Lin Yaoha to get an abortion before the situation escalates but her daughter was adamant. Her granddaughter turned out to be a lost cause and now together,the mother daughter pair were dragging their reputation further downwards.
Which reputed family or socialite in the city didn't know the two bootlickers? As long as they can gain from you, they will do anything. They behaved like a bunch of rich beggars.
She will find the reason why Lin Yaoha is behaving like this.
After breakfast, Lin Yaoha took Qinqing with her. She told her to accompany her somewhere for today. Lin Qinqing also wondered why her mother was behaving differently.
She could only conclude with the possibility of her mother getting some valuable deal. As far as she knew,only money could bring this sudden change.
"We are going to meet your father," Lin Yaoha whispered into her ears. She didn't want the driver to hear in case he was sent by her mother.
Lin Qinqing was shocked and nearly squealed loudly but her mother held her mouth. Qinqing felt so happy that she would meet her father. She knew people talked about her and her mother but what hurt her most was being referred to as an illegitimate child. She hoped to have a father and never had she ever forgotten whenever her mother talked about her father when she was a child.
Her father coming into their lives will be a blessing. Nobody could look down on her anymore because he was rich.
She will show everyone including Lin Meilin whose boss.
So what if she didn't finish studying or become a successful doctor. She will become a rich young miss, money could do anything in the world. It would make people overlook one's shortcomings.
The two arrived at an expensive high end hotel and Lin Qinqing's heart was filled with even more happiness. They took the elevator to the fourth floor and stepped out when they arrived. Their room was a private one inside the hotel.
"We are here," Lin Yaoha said to the man and he turned to face them.
Lin Qinqing's face paled that she forgot to sit down.
Lin Yaoha was hugging the man with so much happiness and didn't realize her daughter's mood had turned sour.
Lin Qinqing didn't expect her father to look this scary. She hoped her father could at least be at par or a little less than her uncle Lin Jingxuan.
It was rare to come across people like Lin Jingxuan who had barely aged despite having a 20+ year old daughter being already 40 something. Even her mother looked a little old and had done surgeries but her uncle remained handsome and well maintained naturally.
Her hopes were crushed by whatever she was seeing.
Du Tian was a tall big man who was slightly tanned. He had huge muscles because he had trained to fight due to the nature of his job. His facial appearance was plain highlighted with yellowish teeth due to smoking. Subconsciously,he released a terrifying aura no matter what he did.
"This is Qinqing, Qinqing, this is your father," Lin Yaoha introduced them.
Lin Qinqing looked at them rebelliously before sitting down. She completely ignored the introduction and took a glass of wine that was nearby and gulped it all.
Lin Yaoha was furious and tried to snatch her daughter's hand when Du Tian simply smiled and stopped her.
"You must be angry because I left you and your mother, I didn't mean to, I had to leave because my enemies were looking for me, I hope you learn to accept me," Du Tian spoke patiently.
"I thought you would understand, weren't we waiting for the time your father came back to us," Lin Yaoha said trying to make her daughter understand.
Lin Meilin put on a sad look on her face. She wanted to look like she had been wronged. Qinqing had just remembered an important life lesson. "Looks didn't matter as long as someone had money."
She still needed her father no matter how he looked like. His money was all she needed.
They started eating while Lin Yaoha asked Du Tian about his well being.
"What job do you do, father," Lin Qinqing asked curiously.
Suddenly, the couple stopped looking and faced their daughter.
"That isn't something you should know," Du Tian replied. His tone had become resolute and tough.
When he met Lin Yaoha years ago, he almost robbed her. They fell in love and after fooling around, she got pregnant.
He wasn't ready for any responsibilities and disappeared because he couldn't take her on if she went against him. Her family was wealthy enough to get him into trouble or wipe him out.
He couldn't deny that he missed her but emotions were weaknesses if you worked in the same field as he did. There,only power, fists and intelligence spoke. He had a gang that dealt with big or small crimes from murder, looting, kidnapping, stealing ,drugs name it all.
He now had power and money and had started planning to reveal himself again when another opportunity showed up .
Somebody told him to appear into their lives and those of the Lin Family. He didn't know what they stood to gain but he couldn't go against however it was. That person was even more powerful than him.
Now, however his daughter treated him,it didn't matter because he only loved Yaoha. Qinqing was just a spoiled brat who ruined his relationship with Yaoha.
She didn't even look pretty but held herself highly. He had noticed the ridicule in her eyes when she looked at him but it wasn't the time to teach her a lesson yet. Soon enough,he will teach her a lesson. Only after Yaoha trusts him fully again.
The dinner was done and Yaoha reluctantly parted from her love.
Lin Qinqing couldn't stand the anger or even risk being seen together with the two so she left earlier after making an excuse.
Lin Yaoha was so happy. Everything was going to change soon. She did love Du Tian but he was also going to be of use to her. He could help her wipe out anybody and she will take back the Hospital. They will regret belittling her and mocking her.
Her and her daughter were going to be on the top.
