Chapter 34: The fallen Celestials
Juno POV:
It had been a few days, since I had annihilated the Gods of Olympus and travelled to space, and as of now.....
I had no function.
I was currently inside my ship, floating around in the deepest darkest depths of space. I was observing my planet, and felt like a father seeing their son achieve their goals, as they had made drastic improvements in terms of technology and medicine, even though that was practically useless, as I had used cosmic energy to create this entire planet.
Furthermore, while my antimatter had always had a red pinkish colour, my cosmic energy had went from a light blue, to a light golden colour. It's sight was heavenly.
Was this due to my divine power, or a change in energy levels? It mattered not.
General POV:
A few billion light years away from our young Celestials ship-(A/N: yep apparently you can be a 1 billion year old celestial and still be viewed as a child or teenager) laid another ship, the size of an entire solar system. This was a ship, that was truly so large, one would say it was specifically meant for an entire host of Celestials.
Something was wrong.
The ship was just there floating in deep space. There were planets, that had literal chunks missing, thus exposing it's core. The ship, was in an even worse condition as a golden liquid seemed to be leaking from what seemed to be tubes that stored energy.
The stars, had weapons going through them, with some of them exploding instantly and turning into black holes, and then swallowing up near immeasurable size.
It had looked as if giants, had fought in this godly war.
Suddenly, from the ship emerged a large black humanoid mechanical had, the sheer size of the hand, caused the ship to instantly explode. But it didn't stop there. From the explosion, emerged a body so big, one of it's fingers had completely obliterated a planet just by grazing it.
It was a Celestial. It had a hole in it's chest, with a black liquid oozing out of it. Anything this liquid touched, was instantly eroded. Entire planets and stars, would meet an unholy end as they were completely devoured. ''[Obliterate/Annihilate/Incinerate]'' said the Celestial, as it created a portal as it disappeared.
However, new beings were popping up out of nowhere within the universe whereas some began to be more active. More specifically, beings such as Galactus and Ego.
I had also made improvements to my suit, so that I could better regulate my use of Antimatter.
WARNING WARNING ABNORMAL INCREASE OF DIMENSIAL ENERGY IN THE SURROUNDING AREA.
Echoed my ships alarms, I immediately summoned my scythe and teleported outside of my ship, into the cold embrace of space.
I stood floating, waiting for something or someone to make their entrance.
But nothing happened. or so I thought.
Turning around, I saw that space began to crack and distort. Planets, were being sucked into the ever growing cracks in space. From the cracks blinding light, emerged a hand the size of Earth's sun. Lighting bounced off of it, as another hand emerged.
The 2 hands grasped each sides of the crack in space, and began pushing it upwards, causing to increase in size. For the first time in a while, I was forced to turn my head away and shield my eyes, from this blinding light.
After a few seconds, it began to dim down. I once again turned back, to see the large crack in space now gone.
What was that?
''[ANNIHILATE/EXTERMINATE/OBLITERATE]''. I turned around, to see a being millions of times larger than me. I looked up, to see that it had 3 visors on it's head. With armour encompassing every single bit of it.
It was a Celestial, a dead Celestial?
It had a huge gaping hole in it's chest with black liquid rushing out of it. It's armour, had cracks all over it with a blue light being emitted from it.
Wait what was this sensation? I felt a cold liquid running up my legs, slowly making it's way to my torso. I looked down to see a black thick liquid crawling up my leg, and then I realised I was standing on the Celestials hand, slowly sinking.
I quickly flew upwards, increasing in size. The Celestial readied it's fist, charging it up with cosmic energy.
I coated my arm in antimatter, and grabbed the Celestials fit. The clash, sent shockwaves that caused even more destruction in the surrounding area. Red and white lightning began to shoot from our hands. With his fist in my hand, I got my scythe, raising it in the air as I began to charge it with cosmic energy.
As I brought it down, space it self began to distort around it as the very electrons in my scythe's path were cut in half, causing shockwaves so powerful, that planets were thrown off their orbit.
Before my Scythe could even make contact, the Celestial shot a huge amount of energy in my chest, causing me to go flying through many planets and stars. Before I even had enough time to react, the Celestial grabbed my arms.
It's visors began to crackle and glow red with energy as it unleashed another energy attack. In retaliation, I also shot beams from my hands, but this time they were composed of antimatter.
The Celestials blast, was immediately swallowed up by my own. The power to unmake matter on the subatomic level with no limit, was truly a horrifying gift.
Once the Celestials grip on me was weaker, I once again summoned my scythe again, completely slicing off his arm.
The Celestial, quickly doubled bag with it's head still smoking. After a few seconds, the smoke from it's head subsided, just to reveal that there was....
Nothing.
The dead Celestial, stood their active. Where it's head use to be, was nothing but black goop. The black liquid, began to move around and increase in size.
Suddenly, it went from liquid to a solid, as it now had changed it's form to be that of some kind of metal. It shot spikes, into the stump of the Celestials head, and then began pouring energy into the Celestial.
Without warning, the celestial quickly raised up its hand and shot another blast at me, the black substance, shot from it's shoulders stump, and then took the shape of an arm, but not before letting of a savage scream that caused even me to hold my head in agony.
In what was a second in reality, became hours to me as I had finally realised what I was in for.
-A black substance able to change forms.
-A black substance, able to posses a dead Celestial.
-A black substance, that is able to manipulate energy and let off savage high pitched screams of anger.
It was simply a Symbiote controlling what use to be a Celestial, a mere shell of what used to be a near omnipotent being, and now it had all of the Celestials power and energy reserves.
Before, I could make anymore observations the Celestial symbiote quickly grabbed a star, teleported infront of me, clasping it's hand together and then slammed my head downwards into the abyss, the energy from the star, caused me to fall even further downwards into space.
''DIMENSIONAL SLASH'' I yelled, as I sent a wave of antimatter towards the Celestial, but just like before it found away to avoid the attack by once again teleporting towards me.
But that wasn't all.
Just like how I did with my scythe, summoned a spear that had white lighting bouncing off of it.
Before it could take any other actions, In hurled my scythe towards it knocking the spear out of the Celestials hand, I watched as the energies from our weapons, clashed with each other, huge waves of energy came forth, opening holes in time itself the space around us began to splinter and crack, as events from both future and past became visible, but this was short lived as the symbiotic Celestial began to charge up with cosmic energy.
Enough was enough, I had to give all I got to rid myself of this parasite. I began to draw all the antimatter I had, into my chest condensing it, making it even smaller each second. My chest began to glow white and spark with energy, as a black hole was beginning to form.
As the Celestial came closer and closer, my armour began to crack and melt as if it had been exposed to something hotter than the sun itself, as my very essence began to emanate from the cracks in my armour, and then it happened.
General POV:
In the darkest depths of space, there could be seen a flash of a white light, so large that one could think that there was a second big bang taking place, distant planets with sentient life looked up to the sky, as beams of energy began to shoot through the clouds causing chaos not just on their planet, but the entire galaxy, and then it happened.
The beams of destruction ceased for a few seconds, leaving people all over the galaxy to believe that all the destruction and chaos was over, but that was far from it. Across each solar system inside the galaxy, everyone looked up to see their sun being absorbed into the darkness, as if someone was trying to suck it up.
Planets began to stretch uncontrollably, as people quickly became string noodles as unbeknownst to them in the abyss, there was a black whole 10 times the size of a galaxy.
Before their inevitable end, every single being left huddled together with their families, and prayed to their gods for aid and protection, as the white light returned sucking up everything in their path. People who tried to flee on their ships, only managed to make it outside their planets atmosphere as they were immediately atomized by the rays of anti matter.
Those still praying to their patron gods were immediately obliterated as their planets were struck with destructive beams of antimatter.
It was all for naught, as the very beings they were praying to were the ones responsible destruction.
The cosmic beings who had witnessed this event, only had one questions in their omni minds.
Where were the two Celestials ?
JUNO POV:
The last thing I remembered, was being shrouded in a white light caused by my wave of antimatter, and then being sucked into a black whole created from how dense and compact my energy had become.
My armour had cracks in it, and even looked as if it was rusting away, as for the first time in a while I felt pain.
I looked around, to see myself floating in a white void, where in the universe was I?
Or shall I say multiverse?
