Chapter 10: Chapter 7: Issei's First Fight, Double Date & Dealing With a Salty Crow

Haruki POV
It's Friday evening now, and Asia has settled in with the Hyoudous, despite only being there for one day. I guess it's hard to hate someone as pure and kind as her. There's that and the fact that Rias is also interested in her, given her possession of a healing Sacred Gear.
Moving past that, I've been using my sight wards to look around town and have seen one of my targets of the assault that I plan to initiate this weekend, Freed Sellzen, the most depraved stray exorcist, assistant to Valper Galliel and one of the few remaining artificial humans made from the Sigurd Project that was spearheaded by the Sigurd Institution in an attempt to create a human who could wield the demonic sword Gram.
His being around means that he knows of Asia's presence in Kuoh. That or he was called by Dohnaseek after the girls left him. It also means that I should deal with him tonight, so that casualties are kept to a minimum, especially when you consider that Kuoh is run by devils, and Freed would kill anyone even slightly involved with devils.
Considering this, I've informed Issei as well as Rias' peerage that I won't be holding any training sessions tonight, especially since I've got my date with Akeno. And if things go as smoothly as they did with Issues and Asia as they did in canon, they'll also be having one too. Perhaps we could double date as a precaution for Dohnaseek's inevitable attack against us. I say double date, but it's more accurate to say that we're protecting them while we have our date.
One of my sight wards shows Issei going out for an evening run and I smile, seeing that my training has already begun affecting him subconsciously, as he will now no longer be able to stay idle due to his body being conditioned to get used to being active during these hours.
Not too far away from Issei, I see a small white cat following him around at a safe distance. Issei keeps on his route when he comes across the person I wanted to capture, Freed Sellzen. His clothes were still in pristine condition, without any bloodstains, showing that he had not yet begun his killing spree.
I teleport to the roof of a house behind the small white cat, who is Koneko's familiar, and stay there, within earshot of Freed and his psychotic rambling, while making myself invisible.
Issei POV
"Good evening to you~♪, dear citizen!~♪" The white haired stranger said to me in a singsong tone with a crazy smile on his face. He was dressed in what seemed to be clergy clothes, as Haruki had explained them to me.
"By the way, do you happen to know any devils?" I would have answered if his eyes didn't clearly have a manic, bloodthirsty look. "Oh~♪. Why are you so defensive?~♪ It'd be bad for you if you know any devils~♪." He says as he brings out what looks like a handle of sorts while laughing maniacally.
Seeing that it's too late to try running away, I get into a fighting stance while keeping a close watch on his movements. The handle in his hand brings out a blade of light and he dashes toward me while swinging down at me. Throwing my body to side, I avoid the strike, only to hear what sound like a gun cock and fire, hitting me in the arm, causing pain to shoot into my brain.
As I roll away, I move my hand to where he shot me, and notice that it has healed up. It seems that he had noticed that as well, as he is looking at the spot on my arm that had just healed up. "Ohh~♪. You healed up real nice. That means that I can cut and shoot you up all I want!" He says and fires a few more shots at me, and I duck and run to avoid them, but one hits me in the thigh.
As the pain hits me, I begin remembering Haruki's warning to me, that there exist people who'd fuck your life up all because they can and want to. I never expected that my first fight as a member of the supernatural would be against one of such people.
Taking a deep breath, I summon my Sacred Gear and it starts amplifying my power. [Boost!] I wait just as he comes close to slash at me , then tackle him to the ground and immediately start punching him, starting with his liver. The combined strength of my fist and the draconic gauntlet impacting his side causes him to double over, making it easier for me to grapple him down to the floor and mount him.
Immediately I saw my chance I took it and began hammering blows to his face. I eventually notice that he's about to retaliate, but unfortunately for him, he was one second too late. [Boost!] My power doubles again and I put as much of my weight as I can behind my next punch and slam my fist on his face, breaking his nose and a few teeth. Then I punch his shoulders hard enough to fracture them, causing him to drop his weapons, giving me leeway to continue raining punches onto his face.
I'm not sure how long I was punching him for, but all I knew was that he wasn't moving by the time I stopped. There were only shallow breaths coming from him, but I didn't move from him, just in case he would try attacking me as I lower my guard.
*Slow clap* X5. "Not bad for your first fight, Issei." I turn around and see Haruki walking toward me with a smile on his face, and a small cat not far behind him. "You pushed through a considerable amount of pain and made sure to beat your enemy down without losing vigilance. I'd personally give you a 9/10 on this, especially since I want to keep the bastard alive." I nod and get off the priest while panting from mental exhaustion.
As he walks to the body of the knocked out priest, I ask him if he know who he is. "Freed Sellzen, an artificial human created by the church to be able to wield a demonic sword. An insane bastard that has no morals or bottom line on what evil he would commit if given the chance or ability to. An excommunicated priest who had a penchant for torturing and killing other races and an agent of the more warmongering fallen angels." He gave quite an illustrious description of the fucker that I knocked out.
"I take it he's famous." I say with a tired tone. "Not so much. But having a connection to the higher-ups of Grigori makes it easy to get info about some of their subordinates." He says as he holds the guy's face , then I start hearing cracks and squelches. I look over and see Freed's face back in pristine condition, as if I didn't just finish pummeling him with blows strong enough to fracture a normal human's skull. Seriously, having control over practically every facet of nature while also having the power to kill dragons is just cheating.
Haruki binds Freed with magic and throws him into a portal, but I notice that it isn't to the training room, but I drop the thought of questioning it as soon as it lands in my head. Haruki looks to the small cat and pets it for a bit and it purrs loudly, then he pulls out a paper and places a cinnamon roll that he got from God knows where on it. "Well, let's get you back home." He says as he pulls me up.
Haruki POV
It's now noon on Saturday and I'm getting ready for my and Akeno's date. I've just finished cleaning up and am now dressing up. I'm wearing a blue T-shirt with a black pair of jeans and a red zip up puffer hoodie and black Vans. It's not like we're going to a fancy restaurant, but I still have to look good for her.
Going into my mom's garden with magical plants, I pick out some flower seeds and take them with me. My mom really dipped her hands into almost all kinds of magical research, enough so that she was routed as the most talented mage evere, second only to the original Merlin. So of course, alchemy was included in the magic she dabbled in.
After grabbing the seeds, I tell my parents goodbye while my mom continues to tease me. As I step out of the house I spread the range of my perception to cover most of Kuoh and find the exact room that Akeno is staying in within the old school building and begin walking there.
Taking my time, I reach there just a few minutes before 1pm, and the first face I see is Koneko's. "Hey, kitty." I say while lightly patting her head. She responds with a small nod and walks to the office where Rias and Kiba are waiting. Letting out a small breath, I walk to Akeno's room and knock on the door.
As she opens up the door, my breath hitches at the sight of her. She's wearing a white turtleneck sweater that seems to hug her body while emphasizing her large breasts and curvy body, along with a red skirt and black high heels, and she has let her hair down. "You're beautiful." I say unconsciously. "Jeez, now you're making me feel underdressed." I say with a very clear blush, as I can feel the blood rush to my cheeks.

She chuckles lightly at my reaction to her appearance and puts her hand out. "Well, you aren't going to keep a lady waiting, are you?" She says with her hand out, and I take it with a smile. "Of course I won't, especially when that lady is you." I say as we begin walking away for our date.
As we get to the commercial part of Kuoh, we run into Issei and Asia, who are on something of a date themselves. We greet each other and choose to move around together. We make different stops as time passes.
We don't always go to the same place but we are never far apart. So while Akeno and I go to a cat cafe, Issei and Asia won't be too far off, being in a manga cafe close by. Akeno and I continued catching up on the past, with her telling me about her time as Rias' queen and me telling her of my time training with Sun Wukong and my parents.
We pass the time by going shopping, going to an arcade that she suggested to me. We also went to an aquarium before we headed to the amusement park, where we shared a long deep kiss, then we choose to end the date with a calm stroll through the park.
"You know, I really enjoyed today. I've had fun with Rias and the others, but having some time to myself and a friend like you makes me feel better than I would with them." She says with a smile on her face. "A friend, huh? Is that all we are?" She teasingly smiles at me, but I could feel from her aura, that she was quite expectant.
"Of course not, or is that all you want us to be?" She asks me while looking me in my eyes with a crimson blush on her face. After calming myself down, I finally ask her the question I would have asked her, at anytime if I had been with her "Akeno, will you be my very first lover?"
Now while this seems insensitive and scummy, seeing as my words implied that I will have others in the future, you must remember that this is the world of the supernatural where polygamy among the powerful isn't uncommon, and besides, I know the few who I want with me.
"Of course I will." She says and leans forward, connecting her lips with mine for a deep kiss that held more passion and more love than the one we shared on the Ferris wheel in the amusement park. We hear a light squeal come from behind us and we break the kiss to see Issei and Asia looking away with their faces resembling tomatoes.
The moment would have gone on for longer, if Akeno and I hadn't felt them get close. "It looks like Dohnaseek's gotten impatient, for him to send so many small fries over here." I say, referring to the 2 dozen stray exorcists that are trying to hide in the bushes. They come out of their hiding spots, lust and killing intent oozing off them.
"Hey, I know that Dohnaseek-sama said that we should capture the nun and kill the rest, but don't you think the bimbo devil over there would at least be a good fuck. We can kill the rest and enjoy ourselves, two birds with one stone, I say." One of the stray exorcists says, and for a second my brain shuts down. The next moment, the stupid exorcist that said that was nothing but a mishmash of crushed bones and torn flesh lying in a puddle of blood on the floor.
Despite it just getting into the evening, the sky had started darkening and the wind had picked up speed. For Issei that knew of my powers, he knew that I was the cause, but he didn't know that I was infuriated beyond measure.
Putting my hands together with some space between them, I form an ice ball, then smash it in my hands, spreading a freezing mist, whose targets were the exorcists. The mist spreads, flash freezing all of them before they can even try retreating. I disperse the mist and the scene shows 23 ice statues in the process of one movement or the other. [Shatter.] As I say that, the ice statues crumble to the ground and I release blackened flames tinged with destruction at the spots where every exorcist was standing, burning them to nothing and leaving no trace of the altercation.
"Well, it seems that an unpleasant person has chosen to interrupt our date." Akeno nods and I feel her aura turn bloody and sadistic. 'I feel no pity for you, Dohnaseek.' "Issei, take Asia back to your place and hunker down. Akeno and I are going to be busy for a little while." I say as I open a portal to an alleyway close to our houses.
After Issei takes Asia away, I close the portal and let out a short breath. "Sorry about that. I guess this isn't how you'd have wanted to end your first date." I say with an apologetic look. "Shh. Don't worry about it. You aren't the one in the wrong. I very much enjoyed our date. It's these idiots and their masters that have to pay for interrupting our time together." She says with a finger on my lips and a sadistic tinge to her voice.
"Master. It's a single fallen angel and I know who it is and where they're staying." Her eyes seem to glint in the evening sun. "If that's so, then what are we waiting for?" She says as she brings out her devil wings. "Can you fly?" "Yeah." I respond then levitate myself using a combination of gravity and vector control. "Let's get to it, then." I say as I start flying to the church, with Akeno flying beside me.
After about 3 minutes, we reach the area above the church and Akeno sets up a bounded field, making sure that anyone here would be unable to leave without her permission. Dohnaseek seems to notice this and sends out the all the remaining exorcists within the building at us from the underground chamber.
They all come rushing out at us and fire out light bullets from their guns, with the hopes that they'll hit us. Too bad for them, my patience for Dohnaseek is nil, so their getting in my way has guaranteed their deaths. I quickly form a magic circle on the floor and activate it. [Fire Pillar.] As I do that, crimson flames engulf every single exorcist as well as the church building, leaving only a large scorch mark on the floor.
Dohnaseek flies out of the underground chamber after the flames pass, and looks at us with murder in his eyes. "To think an inferior human and a shitty devil would push me this far." He says as he materializes a spear of light. "I'll just kill you both and end things here."
"You really never changed, Dohna." He stops his attack and asks where I heard anyone calling him that way. "Why are you asking that? Is it that you don't remember me, Dohna?" I say while using my connection to nature to create a torrent of energy in the shape of a twister.
"It can't be." He says, trying to deny the scene in front of his eyes. "There's no point trying to deny the facts, Dohna. You're inferior to a 15 year old human." He roars angrily as he throws his spear, which upon reaching me is promptly destroyed upon contact with my vector shield.
Akeno sees this and her sadistic aura is amplified to the point that it wafts around her visibly. And she acts on this sadism by hitting Dohnaseek with a lightning bolt that impacts him hard enough to send him plummeting to the ground.
"Hey, you. You ruined my date with Haru-chan. That deserves punishment." Akeno says as she fashions a lightning bolt into a veritable whip and strikes the ground near him, causing him to shuffle backwards in fear. She strikes the whip again, and this time, it hits him square in the face and launches him backwards through a tree.
Flashing behind him before he can land on the floor, I turn my arm into metal and punch him straight to the ground, causing a small crater at the point of impact. He spits up a globule of blood with a significant amount of blood dripping from his nose, showing that a lung got definitely got punctured.
Akeno sent another lightning bolt that strikes Dohnaseek once more, causing him to shout, or at least struggle to shout, as many of the tissues and organs in his head had been burned to an extent by the repeated electrocutions.
He still struggles to get up to his feet and fly away. The moment he went up 1 metre into the air, I grab his leg and slam him into the floor. To make sure that he stays down, I slam him on the floor, switching between my left and right sides a few times, then the final time, I increase the gravity on the last drop to the floor by 50 times instantaneously, rocking his body with a level of damage beyond anything he could recover from. His bones had been crushed by the gravity and inertia acting upon his body simultaneously.
Akeno let out a sadistic laugh as she sent one last bolt of lightning that finally killed him. "Oh. You're dead? And here I thought someone as audacious as you would at least last for a few more minutes." She says while licking her lips seductively, causing a small jolt of arousal to spread through my body.
'So it turns out she's one of my switches.' I think to myself as I try calming myself down. "Haru-chan. Thank you for the date. It may have been interrupted, but it's the best I've felt for a long time." She says as she flies to me and grabs my head for a deep kiss, while moving my right hand to her breast.
She breaks the kiss and waves goodbye before teleporting back to the building where the ORC stays. Of course I hadn't missed her looking downward and licking her lips. Yes, she left me bricked up with my brain full of thoughts of only her. All in all, I'd say it was a successful date.
Before I return home, I drop a few embers of destructive flames on Dohnaseek's corpse, leaving nothing remaining. It also just hit me that I forgot to give Akeno the flowers from the seeds I had taken from my mom's garden.
