Chapter 4: Delos, A Land Which Is Barren

Delos, it's soil which took root, was too poor to produce vegetation. Devoid of life's beauty, shown by the harsh conditions in which it was in. Dry and unusable for any future generation to eat off it; even if anything was to be planted, it wouldn't grow.

Since the land wasn't fertile enough to do so in the first place. One noteworthy thing about Delos was that it floated about in the sea. Since it was not land which was steady, the curse of Hera would not affect it. While the island was small, the ocean was clear, tranquil and beautiful with ocean animals roaming and swimming about. This further increases the ocean's beauty. But Delos didn't seem to want anyone on it by showing it by being barren and malnourished. But as no inhabitants were residing on the island, they wouldn't need to worry about such an insufficient means of living. Just looking at it made people feel sluggish and disappointed.

But as it was the safest place away from Hera's jealousy and to give birth to both her children Apollo and Artemis, it had to do for now. Looking into the horizon, the only good thing about Delos was the view which it gave for those which looked into the distance and in the ocean.

But at the moment she could only think about Apollo and Artemis. Especially Apollo, after feeling him use his divine powers while he was still inside the womb, made her happy and curious about how powerful he might become. Going under the palm tree in which she would give birth to both her children. Thinking back on all the pain which Hera had caused her and especially her children from preventing them to be born, did not make her happy one bit.

(Ok, I'm not sure if Apollo got his sun powers since birth, but in this story, he will. Not everything I'll add will be exactly to Greek mythology and will have my twists added to it.)

As the sun comes first before the moon, Apollo was born first. For he was the child of which the sun shone upon and cared for. His face will be pure and clear and with beauty rivalled by none. His blond hair golden like the sun to resemble from where he came from. Next came the moon for which was born after the sun, for when the moon comes and appears it will be never ageing and always youthful with a pale complexion and beauty that even other goddesses would envy.

Since the sun was up at its greatest time, a powerful overbearing beam of light had struck Apollo. For it was a gift from itself to show that it will always be a part of him. It had given him to show its love for him. A blessing appeared which took place inside the body of the baby. A mighty symbol for which will grow alongside him. A small sun in the middle of Apollo's chest then going inside Apollo and fusing with him. Leto was shocked because of the turn events for which took place, she was not harmed by the light rather comforted by it. Looking at her son Apollo for which had opened his eyes to stare back at her own. His eyes were as bright as the sun, pure and equal to all since the sun shares its light equally.

The light brighter than anything other than the sun had hit as if with the intent to kill, they could only assumed it to be so. It's light, mighty and powerful. Made many confused and afraid. The Egyptians bowed as if they had angered their Gods and people prayed to their selective religions for guidance. No prophecy had foretold anything about this occurring. Oracles did not understand what was happening, and could only stare in fear and confusion to the unknown. When the light finally dimmed and disappeared, a face of relief was shown all across the world.

This would later be known as one of the greatest spectacles to have happened across history.

Helios POV

He is the one for which will ride the chariot in my stead, a new god of the sun has been born today. May your light illuminate the sky when you are ready.

The beam of light which had shot out from the sun hit Apollo directly. Many gods were alerted because of it. Seeing such a powerful beam of light impact the land shook fear into many, this fear would be engraved in them to days to come.

Apollo's POV

My eyes opened only to look at my mother when looking at the sun. It felt comforting, even looking at it didn't hurt my eyes. Confusing me furthermore for why this was happening. But ignoring the question inside my head, now that I was out of the womb I couldn't help but appreciate my mother's warmth even more. Hunger was evident when my stomach rumbled loudly to show for it.

Her smile when she looked at both of us grew warmer, while I looked at my sibling and her starting back at me. I couldn't help but think of how cute and adorable my younger twin was. But whatever I said sounded like gibberish and baby talk.

My mother took out her breast ready to feed me while under the palm tree. I stared at it, it was big and looked perfectly perky. Her figure was stunning with no competition to go against her. Suckling away while grabbing it with both hands and feeding off the source and its nutrients. It was warm and sweet, being creamy while tasting full of nutritional goods. It was like the best milk I've ever tasted! Is this what babies always drink? I'm a bit jealous if I say so myself. More determined to drink more, in a drunken frenzy, I grab and start rubbing together the breast for more milk to come out.

Leto's POV

I smiled, happy to feed both Apollo and Artemis. My children drank the milk from my tit. sucking away with a determination to feed their hungry stomachs. Looking at Arthemis, her daughter, who calmly drank away. As Apollo while drinking and slightly pulling on her sensitive nipple with his mouth to get the most out of it since he was hungry. Happily obliging while smiling when feeding both of them.

Finally, Apollo stopped drinking, deeming himself full and satisfied for now.

She had just hoped that Apollo and Artemis would grow strong so they would not die against Hera. But, fortunately for her, Apollo would soon kill Python when he becomes a fully grown god.

Apollo's POV

Now that I'm satisfied fully, let's look around. The land was cracked with little to no green littered on it. The soil looked dryer than the dessert. Of course, it wasn't that dry, but it was still quite reasonably dry in comparison. I wondered why this was my location of birth? While realizing how isolated the island was while looking around, and us being the only people who are on it.

I did not expect to be born like this, and where is my dad? I guess I'm the new Ash Ketchum?

(Elsewhere)

Hera's POV

Damn that woman! I'll kill her and her children. I'll make sure that Python chases her until the edges of the earth. I can't believe Zeus would do that when I get rid of her and her children. I'll make sure that wench pays for seducing my husband like that.

Hera: "Just you wait for what I am about to do to you Leto, I'll make your life a living hell."

Moving back and forward while screaming in rage towards the fact that Leto gave birth. Not to one, but two babies!

(Hey Guys! SleepyMaker talking to you about this chapter, I'll be honest it was hard to approach this, since trying to find the right information was hard, but at last, I have found it.)
