Chapter 24: Lets Flaunt Your Beautiful Bump

"When?" Vivan asked.

"The sooner, the better. It must be before the 21st day of this month," The ongoing month was november. Ira saw Vivan who merely nodded then he called someone through his phone.

'He didn't ask me why, what, or how, instead he asked 'When'. How can one be so sweet?' Ira couldn't help but smile.

Destiny gave her another opportunity to settle things well in her current life. She knew she had to visit her brother in the USA soon but she was procrastinating and nervous about facing him, 'But with Vivan and destiny on my side, what do I have to fear?'

After a week later, they got their VISA ready.

Yes! Vivan decided to go with her.

Ira didn't discuss anything with Vivan and just said that she would visit her brother because he needed her help. Vivan felt too uneasy to let Ira go alone in the US. Nevertheless, they never went on a trip together. Wouldn't this be their honeymoon? Vivan was very pleased about it.

At the airport,

"What is the most cheesy movie scene that people wish would happen to them in real life?" Vivan tried to lighten the mood.

"What?" Ira asked confused.

"'Just as you were about to board a plane, someone shouts. Then swoops you into a kiss as everyone looks on while applauding" Vivan made a cute clapping action.

"Yeah, not possible with today's airport security," Ira scoffed but she couldn't hide the little curve of her lips.

"Want to try?" Vivan smacked his lips, making a kissing noise.

"Shut up! Don't embarrass me!" She turned her face around, not facing him and her lips finally broke into a smile.

She suddenly remembered the overly anxious Vivan while they were packing their luggage earlier.

"Did you bring the heartburn tablets?" Vivan asked and Ira hummed as she nodded.

"How about the prenatal vitamins?"

"Yes, I took all my tablets,"

"Ginger tea and the nuts you crave?" He further added.

"No, add that,"

Vivan brought Ginger tea, a stash of whole-grain crackers, power bars, nuts and dried fruit.

He looked at the stacks of their things as if he was thinking whether something was missing and Ira gave him a 'what' look.

After a few moments, he suddenly exclaimed, "Snacks!!"

Vivan inspected Ira who was all set to go. "Why are you wearing heels? It will be uncomfortable later. Wait for a moment,"

Ira wore those small kitten heel sandal. Vivan had left and came back as he bought one comfy white sneakers and also 2 pairs of flip-flops.

"Why flip-flops? And you bought two of them! One even looks bigger," Ira mused.

"Only wear the sneakers until the security line then change into this flip-flops. This one will fit by the end of our trip." Vivan noticed the still confused expression of his wife then he explained, handing her the three pairs of footwear.

"Our flight will take 15 hours and your feet will swell up later, so your size at the end of the trip won't be the same as they were before our flight."

"Thank you," Ira said, grateful at her husband's thoughtfulness, "Wait! Why would my feet swell when I am just 3 months pregnant. This happens in last trimester."

"Nevertheless, you will need a feet massage after," he smirked.

"You should wear compression socks as well. Use this back pillow too, nearly forgot them. I just bought this yesterday. You will get a backache for sitting for a long time," Vivan said as he helped Ira wear the socks.

Now, a woman wore a black maxi and a pink scarf covered her neck. "You're looking good! The scarf looks nice," said her husband.

"Did you pack a swimsuit?" Vivan asked Ira slyly.

"We are not going for a honeymoon. Did you really think that I will wear a swimsuit with my a baby bump?" Ira revealed.

"Why not? Let's flaunt your beautiful bump even more stylishly," Vivan declared.

"Stupid!" Ira embarrassingly exclaimed. Vivan got really good at teasing his wife.

At these times, she only needed to entirely depend on Vivan for everything. The journey became comforting with him taking care of her during their entire journey.
