Chapter 1: Reincarnation
In a ruined building, there laid a wolf, its fur was as dark as night. Its eyelids were closed, but soon the eyelids started to twitch, signaling it was waking up. Soon, the eyelids opened, revealing a pair of dark red eyes. The wolf groggily looked around, before its eyes opened wide.
'Wh-Where am I? Wasn't I just in my bed?' The wolf thought to itself. Soon, a blue textbox appeared in front of it.
[Hello! You must be confused at the moment, just to make this quick; You died in your sleep, and you have been reincarnated.]
The textbox read, making the wolf even more confused. 'I-I Died? T-This must be a dream right?' The wolf thought with disbelief before it tried to "pinch" itself only to see a paw raise up. 'What the heck?! Come on, this must be a dream! Right?!'
[No, this isn't a dream, this is reality. Here, the god who reincarnated you, gave me; your system permission to show you the news in your previous world.]
The textbox responded to the wolf, before images flashed inside its mind. A man in a tuxedo, reporting that a young man, around 18-20 was found dead, the cause of death was seemed to be by natural causes.
The wolf's eyes widened as soon as he heard the name of the young man who died, realizing this wasn't a dream, it was in fact, reality. 'H- W-' Unable to react to the news, he stared blankly at the open space in front of him.
Awhile later, the mysterious textbox flashed in front of him.
[I know that this news is hard to hear, however you can't sit here forever. This world you have been reincarnated into, is going through a major disaster. If you stay in this position you will die in less than hour.]
Taking a moment to read the textbox, the wolf nodded his head as it sort of understood.
[First, you have to get used to your new body, as you can tell you aren't human anymore. It'll be hard to fully get used to it fast, but you have to get used to it fast. The sooner the better. Oh, I already told you, but you must have been too caught up with your current situation but I am the system a god has given you for help.]
Looking at the textbox again, he felt excitement but also a bit of despair after realizing again he isn't a human anymore. Looking down at his body he could make out he was an animal of sorts, a wolf to be exact.
Breathing in for a moment, he tried to stand up, but ultimately fell immediately. Moments later, he tried again, this time fully standing up with wobbly legs. And then, he tried to walk but fell down. This went on for awhile, resulting in him able to walk, although with unsteady steps.
'This... is uncomfortable, but I'm starting to get used to this... Hey, system I think I'm a bit ready, is there anything else I need to know?' He asked, then the same textbox appeared.
[The next thing is, you have to prepare for the fight incoming, a few zombies will be appearing here in 10 minutes. Good luck.]
Reading the word zombies, he started to freak out. 'Zombies?! Wait- what the hell am I supposed to do?!' As seconds passed the anxiety he felt started to increase. Suddenly, he had a realization. A system! He immediately asked the system if they had a status! The system responded with a yes.
After asking the system could pull up his status, a long green screen appeared in front of him.

Looking through her status, she could only feel disappointed when reading her gender. She was reincarnated as wolf, but a female one when she was a guy in her previous life! Valda couldn't help but curse! But she quickly changed her attitude as she hard some groans and snarls nearby.
As the noises drew closer. she couldn't help but shake as anxiety started to take over. Soon, 3 grotesque figures appeared in her vision. Each figure had pale skin, chunks of skin missing, skin and flesh hanging in their teeth, and blood soaked their clothes. Just the sight of these figures made Valda's skin crawl and the feeling of anxiety spiked 10 fold.
'I-I've seen zombies in movies but I would- oh shit!' Valda exclaimed inside her mind, the zombies heads slowly turned to face her.
Valda slowly backed up as the zombies started to shamble towards her. 'What the hell am I supposed to do?! I just learned to walk just moments ago! How the hell am I supposed to fight these zombies!' She questioned the system.
However, the system didn't respond. Seconds passed as the zombies shambled towards Valda, unfortunately for her one of the walls of the ruined building she was residing in, blocked her from backing up any further.
As the zombies drew nearer, one lunged towards Valda, looking to sink its teeth into her. Quickly moving to the side, Valda barely got out of the way of the zombie. Soon, the 2 other zombies lunged at her. Moving out of the way again, she just barely managed to dodge the second zombie, unfortunately the third zombie managed to bite down onto the back of Valda.
Feeling the jaws of the zombie bite down hard onto her back, Valda quickly tried to get the zombie off of her. Somehow, she managed to kick the zombie off. Looking towards her back she could see a massive bloody chunk was torn off.
Cursing a bunch in her mind, she felt anger well up inside, anger towards the zombie, anger towards the situation, and lastly anger towards her bad luck of being reincarnated. Without thinking she lunged at the zombie and bit down hard on its head.
[Level 1 Zombie killed. 20 experience gained!]
[First monster slain! 10 experience gained!]
Tasting the blood of the zombie enter her throat, instead of feeling like she had to throw up she could only feel excitement from it. Looking towards the other two zombies who were struggling to get up she immediately started to go towards them.
Nearing the closest zombie Valda lunged towards him and bit down on its head exactly like the first zombie.
[Level 1 Zombie slain, 20 experience gained!]
As she was savoring the taste of the blood, she suddenly felt something grab a hold of her and a searing pain embraced her body. The first zombie that lunged towards her managed to get up in such a short time and it grabbed Valda and bit her neck, tearing out chunks of skin and flesh.
Feeling her body becoming weak, and panic started to envelop her mind, she tried to get the zombie off of her, but to no avail.
Seconds passed and Valda went limp as the zombie kept tearing into her body. She was starting to lose consciousness. Moments later, the world went black around Valda as she lost consciousness.
