Chapter 26: My love
Caroline kneed him right on the stomach
"This hurts me seeing you suffer like this but I can't let you try this again" Caroline said
Caroline threw him against a tree before kicking him in the leg and striking him in several places
She held back her strength but each blow still hurt like for Jeremy and she avoided hitting his face
Jeremy's breathing became ragged as he leaned against a tree
"I hope you can forgive me but I'm only doing this so you understand not to fuck anyone else. Remember I'm doing this out of my love for you"
Caroline had a looked of insanity that he had only seen in Elena before, she gave him a forced kiss
"Now Jer I could remove your memories by removing your bracelet but I won't so you'll remember this"
Jeremy felt nothing but pain across his body as he looked over at Caroline
"Jer I hope you'll look past this and reflect on what you did"
Caroline suddenly seemed to snap back and looked shocked at what she just did
"What the hell's wrong with me. I'm sorry Jer"
She bit herself and fed him some of her blood but only a small bit which seemed to start healing him enough to allow him to move
"It's okay Care I deserve this" Jeremy responded weakly since he knew this could happen due to Caroline being an emotional ticking time bomb
Caroline pulled off his vervain bracelet despite it burning her hand and looked into his eyes
"Okay Jeremy so you will realize what I did to you for your own good and you won't hate me or be scared of me and everything will return to normal okay and you won't remember I compelled you" Caroline using compulsion a trick she learnt from Stefan though she could use it better since she drank blood
Jeremy looked into her eyes and despite having Mind Resistance it appeared that the compulsion still worked on him
Even though he felt like it was kinda deserved but all the parts of him that disagreed and felt like she was overreacting seemed to disappear as he felt it was his fault
Caroline was thinking about just erasing his memories of Lexi but a part of her wanted him to remember his wrongdoings
"You can make it back home can't you" Caroline asked
Jeremy gave her a nod
"Well Jer I have some buisness to do with who you slept with" Before Jeremy could say anything Caroline vanished
Jeremy could feel himself slowly recovering and he didn't really worry about Lexi since she was very experienced and could handle herself
Jeremy stood up and walked over to his phone and texted Stefan that Caroline was going to try attack Lexi
He leaned his arn against a tree trying to get back his balance
Jeremy picked up his vervain bracelet before he began to walk away clutching hid stomach in pain
He returned home with a little struglle when he arrived he saw Anna standing at the doorway
"Jeremy I'm here to re- Hey what happened to you" Anna instantly changed her tone rushing towards him to give him a hand
"Nothing much" Jeremy responded taking her hand to help him walk
"It doesn't look like nothing" She continued to say worried about him
Jeremy opened the door with his keys before entering
"I'm grateful that you're worried about me but its nothing just tell me why you're here" he responded standing at the doorway still not having invited her in
"Oh I was here to thank you and give you back the journal" Anna replied trying to hand him the journal
"I hope it was helpful now if you excuse me you can leave now" Jeremy took the journal back about the close the door
"Jeremy I'm seriously worried about you so why don't you let me in and we can talk"
"So what then you stab me in the back" Jeremy retorted as he felt his bubbled up emotions start to burst
"No, where did that come from?" She asked confused
"Don't pretend like you don't know, I know you're a vampire and the only reason you befriended me was for the sake of getting my journal, I know what you are, you're a vampire that's why I didn't invite you in"
Jeremy knew she loved the original Jeremy in the series but he didn't know if she liked him as he was now
"I don't know what you're talking about Jeremy" Anna replied innocently acting confused
"See this is what I mean Anna, you're not even being honest with me even after I found your secret, this is why I don't trust you to come in nor am I willing to tell you what happened to me"
"Ok fine Jeremy I'll be honest with you I admit I approached you and befriended you so I could get your ancestors journal and so I could use your blood to heal my mother who is stuck in a tomb" Anna realizing this was the only way to win his trust back she told him the plan that only she herself knew about
"But Jeremy I found you kinda cute when I was stalking you near the time of your parents death and after you came back from your little trip you became so much hotter. Then when I finally got to know you I fell inlove with you what can I say, im a sucker for guys like you"
Jeremy remembered that her last lines was something she said to the original Jeremy and did finally feel that maybe Anna might have actually liked him
"Okay Anna so you're saying you tried to use me and the fell inlove with me you expect me to believe that" Jeremy asked trying to verify her feelings
"Love works very strange I'll admit. So know that I told you my story can you please tell me whats going on with you" Anna asked
Jeremy still felt reluctant about inviting her since judt because she liked him doesn't mean she would care about Aunt Jenna or Elena and what happened with him and Caroline was something shameful he did that he deserved
"Okay I tell you what happened even though its no big deal but let's go somewhere else" Jeremy said walking out of the house
He felt a bit sad he couldn't even go in his house and take a rest from what has happened
"I don't with that" Anna replied happy that Jeremy atleast seemed to trust her enough to leave the protection of his home
Anna carried him in a bridal carry before vanishing away after seeing that no was around
Jeremy was shocked by the sudden movements and when he opened his eyes he could see he was in the countryside and there was a house
Anna knocked on the door and an elderly lady opened it
"Hey Miss Gibbons I just brought a friend over so can you go upstairs and not interrupt us" Anna said compelling the old lady to go upstairs
"Where is this" Jeremy asked pretending not to know
"That's Misses Gibbons and I live here so cone on in and we can talk"
Jeremy walked in and took a seat in the sitting room which seemed quite antique
"Jeremy I'm listening so tell me what happened to you and I don't want a lie like you hurt yourself down the stairs or something like that" Anna asked demanding answers as she was truly worried
"Ok fine I promise I won't lie" Jeremy sighed as he started to tell her what happened today
He explained how he got drunk and slept with someone by mistake to which Anna seemed to start looking a jealous that it wasn't her
"You did what! Yet you pushed away my advanced" She yelled at him outraged but quickly calmed down and let hin finish
Jeremy told her that he didn't want to keep it from Caroline and told her what he did. He next explained how Caroline did not take it well and hit him several times injuring him badly
"You just let her" Anna asked since for a vampire as old as her, human morals usually seemed less relevant
"Well I deserved it" Jeremy replied emotionlessly to her question
"No you don't, yes what you did was bad but you didn't deserve to get injured so badly. So what are your plans with Caroline now that you see what kind of person she is"
"Nothing, what happened today was a mistake on my part and she only did it because she loved me and that's why I don't plan on doing anything and I still intend on dating her" Jeremy replied again sounding emotionless
"Jeremy is Caroline a vampire"
Anna asked him since she did remember Caroline had a surprisingly strong grip and with how he was talking it sounded like he was compelled
"Yeah she is, why?"
"You were compelled to feel guilty and that's why you think it was only your fault without thinking what Caroline did was bad"
"That does make sense but that doesn't stop me from being guilty and it doesn't stop my feelings for her" Jeremy had been under compulsion before but it didn't stop him from defending Caroline since he still loved her even if she did compell him to
Jeremy said this but suddenly he remembered what had happened with Caroline and the emotions such as fear and betrayel he felt resurfaced
'She must have temporarily died" Jeremy remembered that when an Original died their compulsion breaks
