Chapter 4: Well what do I do now?
Ralsei quickly hid back behind the tree, covering his body from view. His heart was racing, oh god, I was seen, what do I do!? Whats more, she said "again"?! That means she already saw me once!
I know I said I wouldn't run.... but this is a scary situation! That's it, i'll just run away, yep, i'll just run. Yep yep. I'll launch myself with my scarf and run from there.
Suddenly, he heard the girl right next to him, she must have ran behind the tree. "Hi!"

Her mother was heard in the distance, footsteps drawing closer. "Aria! Don't just run off like that! What would I do if you got lost!" She went around the tree, ready to grab her daughter back, but when she saw what was behind left her shocked with her eyes widening. What... was that?
The three stood behind the tree, two of which in shock. One didn't really understand though. "See mommy! This who I saw earlier!"

Ralsei thought to himself... "I can understand them... is this really English? Or is this the free translation every reincarnator gets? I'll try to communicate."
"H-Hi?"
Complete Silence.
After a moment, Ralsei said again, "You guys... CAN understand me.... right?"
The girl was quick to answer, "YES! Who are you!? No, what ar--" She was cut off by her mother putting her hands around her and gesturing her to be quiet.
She carefully looked at him, and asked, "What.. what are you?" Ralsei saw her fear, and thought, "This is an opportunity! She is clearly afraid of me, meaning she likely doesn't have any special powers." "I can finally get information!"
Lets see...
"Planet Name."
"Huh?" The woman was confused.
Ralsei repeated himself, "Planet Name."
"E-Earth..?"
"Language?"
"What.... aren't you speaking it right now?"
"I just need a confirmation."
"It's English. We're speaking english."
"I see..." Inwardly, Ralsei was shocked! Was this really just Earth!?
"Do you guys have magic or cultivation?"
"Whats cultivation....? And no, we don't have magic. As far as we know, magics fictional?"
...
Is this really just earth? So disappointing. What am I even supposed to do here.
"You guys.... Tony Stark? Avengers? Are these people you recognize?"
"We do...."
YES! I knew it couldn't just me Earth!
"But just in movies..."
His hopes fell flat. This.... I really have no hopes of being in a special world, do I?
She was getting impatient. Whats with all these obvious questions? Obviously this is earth, obviously we're speaking English, and whats with all these fictional things being mentioned? If it wasn't for the fact that this.. was obviously not human, and possibly dangerous, she would have just left the place as fast as possible.
"Alright, last question. As far as you know, is there any way for humans to get any sort of special powers? And where are we?"
"This... no, special powers are just fiction as far as we are concerned. Also, we are in Florida. Specifically, the border of the everglades."
....My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Since this is just Earth.... I clearly stand out. I don't want to be put into any experiments.. and I need somewhere safe to stay. To both live and finally experiment with my powers in peace. Its getting dark outside, and its obviously a bad idea to just stay outside in the middle of no where asleep. I can't just stay at a hotel, apart from my appearance, I don't even have any money. That's it, I'll ask her.
"Hey, whats your name?"
"Mary"
"Mary... so.... heres my situation, right?"
"Yeah..?"
"So, I can't tell you the details, but I don't exactly have a place to stay. Can I stay with you guys overnight?"
Aria was excited at the prospect of this cute, fluffy being staying with them overnight, but Mary was more suspicious.
"Can I... Touch you?" She needed to make sure this was truly another species rather than an insane boy in a realistic looking fursuit."
"Sure" He reached out his hand, putting his paw out.
She reached her hand out, and touched his paw. Feeling it in her hand, she felt the ridges and the hair on it, pressing down to feel underneath. "Oh my god..." She muttered.
"So... can I? My names Ralsei, by the way."
Looking at this "Ralsei" in front of her, she felt that she kind of needed to take him in. After all, whatever his circumstances, he clearly didn't have a place to stay. Although not actively acknowledged, his cute, young look and voice surely had a great part in her decision.
"Sure. Just, try not to let other people see you, you know? You don't know what other people might do if they know they practically have an alien here."
...
The car ride was a silent one. Ralsei was tired, and didn't have much to say. Mary was nervous, and hesitant to ask more questions. Aria on the other hand already fell asleep because she is literally five and five year olds need sleep.
"Beep!" The car arrived at a small mansion. The garage opened, and the car was parked inside.
"Well, this is my home, I can give you the guest room."
"Nice place" Ralsei replied. Never in his previous life did he ever stay at such a luxurious home.
Ralsei sat down and sighed. He was so tired from hours of walking along such terrain. Because this was exhaustion, and not an actual injury, he couldn't exactly just heal it. He felt the urge to fall asleep right there and then. But he wouldn't. He would shower first, then sleep.
The shower was so relaxing, even if he wasn't particularly dirty, because of his properties, it was still relaxing. Although, he found it difficult to remove his robes. It was felt like a part of him. He had to actively think that he wanted them off before he could even remove them. Even with with robes, scarf and hat gone, he felt a connection with them. After the shower, in the bedroom, he looked out the window. The moon in the sky indicated how late it was.
Ralsei sighed, "Well.... What do I do now?"
