Chapter 18: Seth needs to work out [Edited]

Stiles and his cousin Ryan ate their breakfast together, savoring each bite with joy and contentment.

They felt at ease and shared a silent joy, relishing the simple pleasures of a peaceful morning, something they weren't always used to, especially Ryan.

These carefree and delightful mornings held a special significance for those who had faced difficult life experiences or had unpleasant childhood memories.

It reminded Ryan of the beauty that could be found in the beginning of a new day, a beauty that was not always present in his own experiences.

The connection to Ryan's mother, Dawn, would be an appropriate contrasting reference in this unusual context.

The mornings associated with her name were not as sweet, honeyed as the one they were currently experiencing.

Stiles, who was enjoying his honey pancakes, had no idea where to look for maple syrup, or if any was available at all in this house, which was sadly unlikely.

.

Ryan finished his filling breakfast and left the kitchen a few minutes later, feeling full and energized from the milk, cereal, juice, and coffee he had consumed.

He returned to the beach cottage where he and Stiles slept, intending to take a shower and clean off the dirt from the day before that he couldn't remove the day before due to exhaustion and intoxication.

Meanwhile, Sandy entered the large and serene room that served as his and his family's kitchen and second dining room.

Stiles, who was developing a strong appetite that was still difficult to control, was aware of Sandy's presence but was unconcerned.

Stiles didn't feel afraid or embarrassed to eat heartily, allowing himself to indulge in the various delicious food options available in the well-equipped kitchen, which suited his current dietary requirements, despite the fact that it wasn't his own home.

Sandy's initial reaction as Stiles ate his substantial meal amid a pile of dishes on the kitchen counter went against the typical homeowner's reaction.

Instead of seeming concerned, his eyes widened with a smile as he asked, "You know how to cook? Did you make all that?"

"Yeah," Stiles replied calmly, continuing to eat. "Most of it was prepared for me, but I also made breakfast specifically for you and your wife, of course. And for Seth."

He greeted Sandy casually, "Good morning, by the way. How was your sleep?"

Stiles recognized that because Kirsten was loaded, he didn't have to worry about how much he ate because eating was a basic necessity for everyone.

He wasn't indulging in a luxury, but rather a fundamental requirement.

Stiles was viewed as an endearing individual who had not been given the same opportunities in life as others, in Kirsten's opinion. She felt responsible for his care, but in a positive and caring manner.

Stiles was conscious of his new charming external secretions and now kept them in check around her.

However, the hormones had permanently altered Kirsten's perception of Stiles.

Despite his control over them around her now, she would always see him as a remarkable young man with some level of appeal, unless he worked hard to change her mind.

"I had a good night's sleep, thanks." Sandy replied cheerfully. Taking a comfortable seat next to Stiles, he asked, "How was your night?"

He seemed intrigued, and he was in his heart.

He was worried about Seth and curious about how Ryan and Stiles had fit in with the rich kids the day before.

Stiles responded, "It went well." Sandy was yawning and scratching his unkempt black hair when he added. "I think Seth is about to get himself a girl."

"A pretty one, if I must say."

"What?" Sandy was taken aback.

His eyes expanded in surprise and amazement.

"You'll have to see her blue eyes to understand how pretty she is. Seth has some game in him." Stiles stated, without disclosing how he hooked up Seth with Erin.

He enjoyed causing this kind of harmless and innocent family fuss, and Seth needed the confidence anyway.

If Erin and Seth started dating, Sandy would eventually find out the truth.

So it didn't really matter.

"Really?" Sandy questioned, his skepticism tinged with a hint of delight. "Seth is getting himself a girlfriend? How did that come about?"

"We were introduced by Stiles. I'm not sure how he did it, especially since he doesn't know her..." Seth spoke up as he unexpectedly joined them in the kitchen. "But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Nothing's set in stone between me and her. I'm still not sure if she's that interested..."

Stiles' white lie was shattered in an instant by Seth—the deception he intended to leave to Seth to deal with the hilarious consequences of.

'What a shame...'

Stiles paused for a moment before asking, "You're already up?"

He smiled as he questioned his future foster brother, whom he was simply tickling with some morning love.

Stiles had decided to mentor and train him both mentally and physically.

His training would be considered complete if he could make Stiles laugh at a Ryan, who had fallen on his back and was grunting.

Stiles loved his cousin, but he wanted Seth to be able to defeat him in a fight if possible.

Why?

—Because why the fuck not?

It was that simple.

The love between brothers and cousins should not be discriminatory.

Seth had to be strong because Ryan was.

Stiles could only do so much for him because he had no intention of turning him into a werewolf.

He liked the current Seth, but if he could, he also liked to hang out with people who weren't physically weak.

"How about we go for a run together after you're done eating?" Stiles offered with a dangerous grin at Seth and his skinny body.

He appeared healthy, but also weak.

"Running?" Seth reacted as if he had been asked to go drink again while suffering from a hangover. "Bro, I can't even walk right now because of my headache and stomachache."

"Dad, do we have any hangover medicine?" As he asked his father, he ignored Stiles, thinking the conversation was over.

Foolish!

Stiles smirked, remembering how he had all day to get this dork out of the house and let him puke a little.

For a while, he had to puke out all of his weakness.

These weren't going to be mere vacations for him, but rather physical conditioning.

Stiles had already gotten him a cute girlfriend, so he didn't feel bad about having this plan in mind.

Erin didn't want a weak boyfriend if she could have a strong one.

Stiles left Seth alone for a while, he concentrated on his big breakfast.

This was Seth's break time, and hell would begin in the evening.

Stiles had his own things to do in the meantime anyway.

He couldn't help but try to spend some quality time with Allison and her family today if he could just knock on their door and meet them all.

—He had until this evening to complete this project before it was too late…

It would be problematic if he waited too long to make a good impression on Allison's father, for a variety of reasons.

The good news was that he had every tool at his disposal to make Chris like him and see him as a potential future son-in-law worth being patient with.

'Do I need to know how to shoot guns for him to like me more, though?' Stiles was thinking in his corner of the large kitchen counter/table when Sandy began bugging Seth about his future girlfriend Erin.

'This is probably only going to impress his sister, right?'

He figured.

It wasn't worth it…

Or maybe it was…

Stiles was about to embark on a romantic risky venture, armed with the unmasked fact that he already had a girlfriend named Summer.

What could go wronger than this?

Romeo and Juliet?

Nothing at this point…

But Stiles didn't like jerky lies.

Stiles liked better to let others make decisions for him, especially when his irresistible hormones were assisting them.

He had no intention of playing fairly because his persuading charm hormones were never intended to be used only on women.

He had no remorse after spending 15 years without a reincarnation cheat.

In a Newport neighborhood near the beach that is still wealthy but much less so.

Since a year ago, the population and landscape of Newport have been changing at a rapid pace—a year before someone got something dear to them in their heads…

It was becoming more and more like Los Angeles in terms of being an international trade center and wealthy city as more and more people, businesses, and corporations began to invest in it and try to find some space as early pioneers.

Newport's inland borders themselves were expanding, and new neighborhoods were being developed.

Nobody knew why more people and banks were suddenly relocating here, but it was happening.

This place was on the rise.

It was going to be big time, and people who could smell opportunities from afar didn't want to miss out.

—Lydia Martin's parents, who were moving into their new home with their two immature daughters, were such people…
