Chapter 35: first impression part 2

Satomi Gojo found herself in a dire predicament as the dust settled around her, drained of her energy by the sinister Geto Suguru. His taunts only fueled her determination. Her six eyes blazed with defiance as she refused to yield. "I won't be defeated by someone like you," she hissed, her voice dripping with resolve.

Suddenly, she struck the cursed spirit that Geto had summoned, creating a bewildering black flash that left Geto momentarily baffled. The unexpected turn of events left him wide-eyed, but Satomi wasn't one to let an opportunity slip away. With her energy restored and her concentration sharpened, she chanted her cursed techniques with precision.

"Phases," she began, "Twilight, Eyes of Pramja!" Satomi summoned her Lapse Blue once more, but this time, she had a secret strategy up her sleeve. The air crackled with tension as she unleashed a modified version of her technique. Multiple tendrils of Lapse Blue shot out simultaneously, aiming not only to ensnare Geto but also to distract him with their chaotic dance.

Geto, however, displayed an almost balletic grace as he dodged and weaved through the tendrils, his movements fluid and calculated. Satomi's concentration was commendable, but she sensed the urgency of the situation. Beads of sweat glistened on her brow as she formulated a new approach.

She knew she needed to end this quickly. With a flick of her wrist, she shaped a condensed sphere of cursed energy, smaller and deadlier than her previous attempts. Geto's keen senses detected the change in her strategy, and he realized the impending danger. He attempted to summon another curse spirit to counteract it, but before he could complete the incantation, the sphere of cursed energy was launched directly at him.

The resulting explosion created a powerful shockwave, sending Geto tumbling backward. Satomi wasted no time and charged forward, determined to press her advantage. She had underestimated Geto's resilience, however. He managed to regain his balance mid-fall and, with a portal beneath his feet, disappeared into the cursed void, where he stored his curse spirits. He re-emerged right behind Satomi.

She attempted to react, but Geto's speed was unmatched. Armed with Fenrir Fang, he struck with precision. At the last moment, Satomi pivoted, causing the blade to graze her shoulder rather than delivering a debilitating blow. The sharp pain served to fuel her determination further.

Satomi activated her cursed technique once more, creating a protective barrier of energy around her. The clash of their cursed energy against her shield resulted in an explosion of sparks and force. The two combatants were locked in a fierce struggle, each unwilling to yield.

The ground beneath them cracked, and the very air seemed to tremble with the intensity of their battle. Geto's eyes gleamed with predatory intent, while Satomi's determination was etched clearly on her face. Amidst their fierce battle, a chibi version of Shoko, who had been observing from a distance, couldn't help but interject. "You two are really going at it, huh?" She sighed and muttered, "Yare yare."

The outcome of this intense battle between Satomi Gojo and Geto Suguru remained uncertain. The students gathered around, drawn to the spectacle, while Yaga watched in awe and suspense. The two formidable sorcerers continued their relentless duel, neither willing to back down.

The battlefield echoed with the sounds of their cursed techniques, the shimmer of energy, and the unwavering resolve of two warriors engaged in combat. The final confrontation loomed, as both Geto and Satomi prepared to unleash their ultimate attacks. Simultaneously, they began to chant, their voices overlapping but undeterred.

"Phase, "Awaken", Twilight, "legion of darkness" "Eyes of Pramja," Geto chanted. "Declare the Dawn."

"Maximum Output: Lapse Blue," Satomi intoned. "Extension Technique: Tartarus." Geto replied

A massive blue light engulfed the battlefield, as a gate-like structure materialized behind Geto. Upon closer inspection, it bore a striking resemblance to the portal he used to summon his curse spirits.

Yaga, hanging on for dear life as he was being dragged toward the blue light, roared in alarm. "Are they seriously planning to destroy the school?" he exclaimed. The gate behind Geto opened, and numerous hands emerged, seemingly impervious to Satomi's Lapse Blue. They began to pull the cursed energy into the gate, which slowly closed.

"How did- " Before Satomi could voice her astonishment, Geto flashed before her and delivered a powerful blow, rendering her unconscious. He wiped his brow, panting from exhaustion, his mind racing with the implications of his new extension technique. "That was quite a gamble," he thought. "I haven't yet mastered this extension technique, but it worked. The principle was simple: expanding my ability to consume cursed spirit and extending my technique to absorb raw curse energy itself since curse spirits are just cursed energy given form my technique still has some overlap to it. I got this idea from the starving cursed spirit. It might be highly inefficient, but it has no limits on the form or amount of cursed energy I can consume."

As the dust settled, the battlefield remained silent, marked by the remnants of their fierce clash. The students and faculty gathered, stunned by the intensity of the battle and the incredible powers on display. The outcome was clear, but the implications of Geto's new ability were profound. And finally the battle was and the victor has been decided
