Chapter 109: A warm goodbye

As the first rays of dawn filtered through the curtains, I stirred from my slumber, the events of the previous night still fresh in my mind. With a sense of purpose, I rose from the bed looking at Zephara and her mother who where still sleeping before getting to my own room.

The familiar routine of packing my belongings a welcome distraction from the tumultuous emotions swirling within me.

As I carefully folded my clothes and gathered my essentials, the weight of our impending journey settled over me like a heavy blanket, filling me with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

But amidst the uncertainty, there was a glimmer of determination that burned bright within me, a steadfast resolve to see our mission through to its end.
