Before Leora could gather my thoughts, Ava took both of my hands in hers, her touch sending a jolt of electricity coursing through my veins. "Leora, can we talk about yesterday?" Ava asked softly, her gaze searching my eyes for answers.

I felt my cheeks flush with heat at Ava's question, my mind spinning with a whirlwind of emotions. I opened my mouth to respond, but the words caught in my throat, leaving me speechless and unsure of how to proceed.
