Chapter 6: Chapter 5

-At An Unknown Date

"MY QUEEN!" A roar of desperation echoes throughout the throne room.

"What is wrong Cassandra?" The woman sitting in the throne asks. Women in battle gear surround the yeller from all sides, while other women adorned in only togas surround the queen. It seems she interrupted something.

"M-MEN A-AT THE BEACH, THEY HAVE KILLED THE SCOUTS AND ARE INVADING THEMYSCIRA!"

Gasps are heard all around, scared mumbling and whispering dominates the the large room. "QUIET!"

"Now is not the time, Phoebe gather the legions and blow the horns. Cassandra, you shall go to my daughters room and take her away to safety."

The ordered women instantly comply, "YES, my queen." They both sprint off in different directions.

"As Phoebe gathers the legions we shall confront this foe."

The entire room full of women booms as they all reply, "YES MY QUEEN!"

-On the Beach

An entire armada of ships can be seen sailing towards the beautiful island of Themyscira. However there is already a platoon of men on the beach. Bodies of 6 warrior women lay across the sand, blood oozing and washing away into the coming waves. "Were these the famed warriors, I see no worthy AMAZONS, only-"

A commanding voice interrupts the man yelling, "Stop, yelling will only increase the chances of us getting caught. Im suprised the legends of the Amazons are true, truly a spectacular island. Someone get this bodies away from here we need to set up another ambush." Darius orders his men.

"No screw the island were these dumb wenches the only security, WHERE ARE THE HORDES OF WOMEN."

*THWIP**THWIP*

Arrows appear out of nowhere hitting multiple targets. Killing the previously yelling man and more while injuring the leader Darius. The squad of men instantly have their moods turn sour at the death of some comrades in battle. "SHIELD WALL!" Darius call out. As if practiced thousands of times, the squadron of men move into a basic shield wall formation to protect from enemy fire. "LOOSE!" A distinctly feminine voice shout's. More arrows appear from nowhere heading straight for the men.

The layer formed, the shields tall and high as ever. Darius instructed his men immediately to advance when an arrow from the side whizzed past his face and caught him on his shoulder where he'd been shot already. He tried not to cry out from the pain and put up his shield against the Amazons.

The arrows clash with the wall. No men were killed, The queen instantly calls for a, "CHARGE, ALL OF YOU CHARGE!" A force of 50 battle hardened women charge the wall of shields on the back of war breed horses.

"Hey, Tristan!"

"Yes, Sir!"

"Sound the horn, signal the speeding up off the ships and warn HIM, to immediately return."

"With pleasure Sir!" A younger man than the rest pulls out a battle horn and blows. (idk the onomatopoeia for a horn, sorry)

The horn is heard by the ships nearing the coast. "ROW, ROW FASTER MEN!" Orders of speeding up the landing of the island resound on every ship.

Elsewhere on the island stands a man appearing in his physical prime at 6'5, 327lbs of pure muscle, he strikes an imposing figure. "It seems I am needed, pathetic, calling themselves warriors cant even defeat a bunch of weak women without me." The man, unbecoming of his size takes off at speed even faster than cheetah's.

Back at the battle, the 2 sides have clashed, Amazons initially winning such a clash as they are faster, stronger with more experience in battle. However they are outnumbered by the squads 25 men that are still alive. Since the queen immediately came to the beach head with only 10 women excluding herself. The reason she charged here immediately is because she didnt want the invaders to have any time of holdings or environmental advantages, so she chose to combat the force at once to pretty much wait for back up while keeping invaders without strategic holdings. "You killed 5 of my sisters you despicable pigs-"

A voice interrupts the queen, "AND WE'LL KILL MORE!" She is immediately thrown back by a powerful fist to the side of her ribs.

"Uugh, i-i-ill kill you for that boy." She looks up at a giant man in her former position. The queen spat out the sand in her mouth and brushed of the bits of rock and earth that had flown up from the impact of her hitting the ground. She narrowed her eyes are the man. "You are Zeus's son, Herakles was it, trying to enslave us for your own humanly greed and lust?"

"I'm not trying, 'Calliope'," Herakles said, and charged her ,another fist cocked and ready to injure even more, however she rolled out of harms way, he immediately charges again but Drona intercepted that one with one of her own perfectly aimed arrow.

"You're a very good queen, Calliope. Now surrender. We have you surrounded."

"I'm unable to oblige you, boy." She spat.

"Can't you see that you won't win this? Surrender and you won't die."

"Who said anything about dying?" And Calliope engaged Herakles in battle, sending arrow after arrow, they landed in his neck and shoulder and side but did absolutely no damage while he continuing to send body shattering punches and blasted any part of her body trying to blow the queen to smithereens.

It was clear from the shock on Calliope's face that even though she'd heard of this boy's prowess she'd been unprepared for the reality. Rallying herself, Calliope tried to manouver around him but couldn't because of the craters his fist caused by hitting the ground. She was forced to stay in one place, right in front of him.

She was getting desperate and decided to do something risky.

Calliope The Queen POV———————

I rushed into his range and jumped over the man with inches to spare. Impressive for a woman in armor. He was smiling. I hated how he showed his teeth, but I couldn't use range on him. I'd have to close the distance if I wanted to strike with my sword. He was waiting for me to try, so he could step into his own range; He didn't fear me. We stared at one another for a long time – the only motion between us were his tests. He raised his hands or stepped his lead foot up to gauge a reaction. I gave him small reactions.

Herakles was looking me in the eye. I looked him in the chest. I had to stay focused on myself. Mind games would be too risky given my disadvantages. Again, he stepped a foot in but this time more boldly. He was trying to train me not to fear his step. I bit down on my impulse to pull back and acted as if I had frozen. It was the reaction he wanted, but I gave it to him on purpose.

He laughed as he took a rushing step in and tried to destroy my head. Ready for it, I leapt away and swung my sword in a flat arc. My blade landed flush with his ribs. Nothing's more satisfying than making a clean hit with a sharp instrument. I could cut through his skin all day with this sword given to me by Lord Ares himself.

"It seems I've underestimated you, get ready queen, now you die." Hmph, of course the male starts to boast as if he'd already won. I see as he pulls out a sword from his previously unnoticed sheath, I raise my brows.

3rd Person———-

Calliope sneered at Herakles as they both assumed a high guard, and threw an overhand cut. Calliope parried quickly, reflexively. Herakles cut from the other side, and the queen again parried. They moved, back and forth, until, realizing he wasn't dead yet, Calliope began to remember her training. She started to think, to act instead of react. The man kept throwing overhand cuts. She could use this.

With the next cut, Calliope threw her hands up, and parried high, with her point towards his face. In her pleasure at this success, she nearly missed the moment to thrust, but thrust she did. Heracles, surprised, leapt backwards, slapping Calliope's blade aside. Calliope did not fight the blow, but turned the deflection into a mulinet and cut at Heracles head.

He parried, and cut against the queen. She dodged to the side, throwing a crooked cut at His hands. Heracles stared in shock at his pinky finger, lying on the ground, while the rest of his hand was about his sword grip.

Wasting no time gawking himself,Heracles pressed in, using all of his hidden strength he threw the queen and immediately advanced while she was still in the air, she lands and he positions his blade to press his point against Calliope's throat. "Look around you queen, look at the defeat of your army, so caught up on trying to survive this battle you forgot the entire army one of your amazons rallied. My men have already killed or captured your warriors. Give up or I'll have them all milled in front of you. She glared at Heracles, but said the required words. "I yield."
