Chapter 23: Kamakura
Arriving at the carriage house, Masa found Ayla leaning against the carriage with her arms crossed beneath her breasts.
'Now that I'm looking at her without the lustful thoughts of a man and as a woman , I can see that her beauty is truly unparalleled, which makes me feel jealous and warm inside.' Masa thought as her heartbeat began to increase rapidly.
Masa began to fantasize about Ayla being her wife, further increasing her heartbeat along with a slight blush on her cheeks.
Meanwhile, Ayla looked at the fantasizing Masa and assumed it was about her due to Masa's looking at her with love, the sound of her heartbeat increasing, the drool coming from her mouth, and the blush that emerged on her cheeks.
'I didn't expect someone that hated me to the point that she wanted to rape and kill me to now love me to this extent.' Ayla thought, glancing at Masa.
[When she became a woman, I made sure that the longer she stayed a woman or had sex with a man, the more her personality would change to fit a woman's. But her love for you is not my doing.] Cynthia said as she pouted.
'I know you would never do such a thing, as you want me for yourself. But"—Ayla walked over to Masa and flicked her forehead with just enough force to break her out of her fantasy—"I should wake her up from her little fantasy.'
After flicking Masa, she instinctively covered the spot where Ayla flicked her, saying, "Oww, why did you flick me?"
"You got stuck fantasizing about me, so I woke you up." Ayla responded, walking back to the carriage.
"How did you know that I was fantasizing about you?" Masa said as the blush on her cheeks grew.
Ayla opened the carriage's door and hopped in, saying, "The look in your eyes, the drool from your mouth, the blush on your face, and lastly, the sound of your heartbeat increasing." After saying her words, Ayla closed the door.
'She caught me red-handed, but this makes me want to be her wife more, since she could protect me.' Masa's heartbeat quickened again, but she shook her head, breaking herself from her fantasies, untied the horses from their post, and hopped into the coachman's seat.
Masa yanked on the reins, prompting the horses to begin moving forward as they treaded along the stone-paved road, heading outside of the town.
Within the carriage, Ayla sat on the carriage bench, looking at her system's map. She tapped on the closest target to her current location, which brought up information on the target along with the name of the town he lived in.
"Take me to Kamakura City next." Ayla said that, after sensing that, Masa opened the window on the door between the coachman's seat and the carriage itself.
"Yes, mistress." Masa replied, pulling on the horses' reins and directing them to veer onto the road leading to Kamakura City.
Time passed,
The carriage made its way towards Kamakura City without any stops, allowing for them to reach Kamakura City after passing through one city.
Masa parked the carriage at the carriage house and tied the reins to a pole as Ayla got out of the carriage and searched for a tavern to gather some information on her target.
After searching around the city for a few minutes, Ayla found a tavern with a wooden sign above the door with the words "Silver Sword".
'This should be a tavern for samurai, which will also be a good place to eavesdrop. I'll have to strap my dragon katana on my hip, otherwise I won't be able to enter.' Ayla thought and conjured her katana along with a scabbard, and placed it in the obi (belt) of her kimono.
After she placed her katana into her obi, she placed her hands on the door and pushed on it, opening the doors of the tavern before entering the tavern.
