Chapter 41: 41

The next day, Remus and Sirius parted ways with tears and laughter. Harry stood by the side awkwardly as he looked at the two brothers hugging it out and saying their goodbyes.

"Harry don't forget to write to me, alright. You can pass on your letters to Mooney, he'll owl them to me." Sirius kneeled to get to his eye level and spoke.

"Yeah, I'll write as frequently as I can. You should listen to Rinky, alright. She is under my orders to provide all the care that you need over the next few months. You can stay inside this apartment, but don't leave it. At least for the next 3 months. You still have a few enemies that would love to see you die." Harry warned the man as he was pulled into a tight hug.

"Come back soon, alright. I want to get to know my godson more.

Oh shit, I almost forgot. Have you accepted the Black family magic yet?" Sirius asked as he palmed his forehead.

"What, no. Why would i?" Harry asked, confused.

"You don't know. Your grandmother was Black, and with me being your godfather, you are the heir of Family Black. You have the right to have the family magic claim you." Sirius explained.

Realisation dawned on Harry's face. While he might be familiar with the concept, it had slipped his mind as it wasn't really important.

"I, Sirius Black, the Lord of Family Black, ask the family magic to grace Harry Potter." Sirius placed his hand on Harry's head and chanted.

Soon, a yellow glow entered harry's scalp and merged with his body, bringing with it a refreshing feeling.

"If your lucky, you'll be able to inherit the Black Family's unique magics. Do you know how to check your core?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah. Mine was always bluish in colour." Harry explained.

"Neat. Now look at your core and tell me what you see." Sirius urged.

Harry closed his eyes and focused on his core. Soon, he was floating in a dark space with a giant blue orb floating in front of him.

Inside the crystal clear orb was a shadow of a magnificent tree that was pulsing and absorbing the blue gas. As it pulsed, it sent out a stream of energy back into the core, clearer than before, and with a tiny amount higher than the intake.

Looking closely at the core, harry noticed a thin barrier surrounding the core which was not present before. Looking closer, harry noticed it was yellow in colour.

'Flaw'

"Black Family Magic: Through years and generations of use into human transfiguration, the Black family magic mutated and bore a unique ability into the family line to be natural Metamorphmagi.

However, due to years of inbreeding and loss of genetic variability, the ability was suppressed for years.

Through the connection of Sirius Black to Harry Potter, as well as the genetic code of Dorea Black, the ability was manifested in Harry Potter."

Harry read through the book that was created and exited his inner world.

"I got the Metamorphmagus ability!" Harry revealed in excitement.

"What?? That's wonderful. No one has got that ability in years. I thought the black family lost it ages ago." Sirius exclaimed in surprise as well.

"Oh, about that. Your niece, Nymphadora tonks, Andromeda's child, is also the same. I thin the years of inbreeding suppressed the ability." Harry corrected.

"hahahahhh. Take that you horrible woman. Hahahhhhaha." Sirius laughed like a maniac and started to curse out his mother, Walburga Black.

"It seems, he's happy that he proved inbreeding was the cause of the family's decline." Remus whispered from the side.

"That's an understatement." Harry commented.

"Well, Sirius, I believe, its time for me to leave now. Take care of yourself. See ya." Harry waved as Remus grabbed Harry's shoulder and sent mana through a woollen sock.

A familiar tugging sensation on their stomachs and they disappeared from the apartment.

"Why is Dumbledore's portkey so bloody unstable. Its like this one was made under the table by a third-rate craftsman." Harry complained as the pair arrived in front of the Hogwarts castle.

"Don't let him hear that. I hear he made this himself." Remus regained his balance and pocketed the sock as he walked towards the huge door of the castle.

The wind on the bridge over the valley caressed the pair's faces as the Sirius rescue saga finished.
