Excited to see if it really worked, I started to suck in the little white stars in my arms and started to circulate them the same way as what the knowledge the system showed me.

Skylar, noticing the change in the mana in the air was extremely surprised. "N-no way, my son learned the technique in less than 2 hours while I am considered the best genius in the whole family when it took me 4 hours in total to see them and learn the technique afterwards. I am so happy for him! Tough, it's to sad for him To have lost his chance at becoming the strongest, because of those bastards. It infuriates me! But, I shouldn't disturb him while he is still in his trance. He should be able to take in more mana and get nearer to the 1st circle. She said with tears falling from the corners of her eyes."

Not hearing her talking in her low tone, I continued what I was doing.

Hours after hours passed by. And after a long arduous process, I finally woke up from my trance. As I opened my eyes, I could see that the sun was setting in the sky. Which meant that we were near 20 pm in the evening.

"How much time did I spend meditating?" I asked to my mother that was sitting next to me.

"Around 12 hours, longer that what most people spend in their trance."

"That much?! Then what did you do while I was meditating, I made you wait for long didn't I?"

"You don't have to worry about it, I trained myself physically while waiting for you to wake up. It was a nice stretch after having passed the last 2 months in my office doing administrative work and other stuff. So, I am quite thankful for that. she said as we could see a slight smile form on her face. "Passing time with my son even if it is to wait for him is the best sting this mother could ask." saying these words to herself.

Suddenly, I yawned.

Oh! Meditating made you pretty exhausted Huh! Eat this and go to bed! She said as she threw at me a circular pill around the size of a ping pong ball.

"What is this?" I said catching and eyeing the mysterious pill.

That's a nutrition pill that contains all that you need for your body to function for a day. Since you are tired and haven't eaten anything today either, you should at least give your body some nutrients before you go to sleep. Hence why I gave you this.

I see. But, can you cook for me next time? I want to taste mother's cooking. Pretty please? I said with puppy eyes.

"t-there is no such things as a kitchen here. there is only pills here, but once we return to the mansion I will gladly cook for you. "She said with a smile, but deep inside she was sweating buckets. 'I don't know how to cook how do expect me to do something as useless as this when I am busy with businesses and other things. Sh*t! I can't afford to show any bad sides to jack I should take classes from jane the chef of the mansion!'

Alright then. I said with a disappointed look and ate the pill. Eww, what is this taste? It's disgusting. Am I going to be obligated to eat this crap until training is over? I'm so unlucky. While thinking about that. "How long are going to train here mom?"

"Until you are a 1st circle and can coat your body or weapon with mana. While we are at it, you will train your body. Look at how skinny you are! You look so pitiful! Argh!! I shouldn't have left you alone with that bastard! I'll kill him the next time I see him!"

I just stood there looking at my mother without knowing what to do. But, she soon got it over with.

"Ahem, I'm sorry son it just got the better of me. We should probably both get some sleep for now."

"Alright mom, get some sleep. I don't want you to pass out in front of me tomorrow. Haha."

"Oh? You think I would be the would be the one to pass out tomorrow? I would worry about my self if I was you. Today was just the appetizer, tomorrow will be hell! Bye bye~~ I am going to sleep now! Try to get some sleep too~~. she said as she waved at me with her hand.

'Oh. I shouldn't have said that. as I realized the mistake that I did. Well, pondering over it won't change a thing, I should go to my room upstairs.'

Laying down on my bed, I opened my status window to see how much mana that I took in during the meditation.

'mmh? nothing happened.' Suddenly, I felt a violent and sharp pain in my heart. 'Sh*t I shouldn't have talked too fast. Arghh! It f*cking hurts like hell!' I grabbed my chest from the pain, like it would do anything, but still did it. Time went by and every second felt like hell from the pain that kept increasing each second until I couldn't keep up with the pain and fainted on the bed. As I fainted, I heard multiples notification from the system.

In Skylar's Bedroom where she laid her body on her bed trying to sleep.

"He, he. today was really great! I spent time with my son. I should prepare for tomorrow to train him to the best that I can!" Suddenly, she felt a surge of mana in the direction of jack's room. "Wait, Jack's room? D-don't tell me, did he already break trough the 1st circle and became a 1st circle mage? No, That's impossible! But, the surge of mana that I am sensing definitely comes from someone breaking trough and we are alone here, so he definitely is."

That rascal! He should have waited for me! He doesn't know that when breaking through if you do it the wrong way, it could destroy your heart killing you at the same time. F*CK! F*CK! JACK! NOT MY BABY! She said in panic getting up from the bed and rushing to his room.

Slam! She opened the door breaking it at the same time from the strength that she exerted having lost the totality control of it from the stress and panic that she was having at the moment.

JACK! she approached the body that was laying on the bed, JACK! She continued to say, but he didn't wake up. She tried to shake him but to no avail. NO JACK! WAKE UP! WAIT, HIS PULSE! YEAH THAT'S IT, I SHOULD CHECK IT! She put her index and middle finger on the side of his neck and instantly felt his pulse. Rather slow for normal, but still beating. Phew! I t-thought I had l-lost you again! she said bursting into tears.

A few minutes passed by. And Skylar finally was able to regain her composure. But, all the stress and fatigue accumulated on her and she couldn't keep staying awake and so, she passed out from exhaustion with jack in her arms in a spoon position, because she was still afraid to lose him.
