Chapter 4: The lost Locket

"Your emotions are chaotic. You should calm down. I know that it is a strange phenomenon but we shall deal with it. And you should share some information so that I can make more closer to correct assumption. Rest assured, I am really good at reading folks and things.."

"Even if you are really good at reading people it doesn't mean you can solve my predicament." Lucia sighed helplessly.

"Okay the last thing I remember I was sleeping in my house and Pooh! when I woke up I am here. How do you explain it?"

"Can you elaborate? There isn't enough information to make a correct assumption.."

Lucia took a deep breath. 'It doesn't matter if I share my worries or not. Mom is gone anyway and she isn't going to come back even if I am a mess and transported to an alien-planet somehow. At worst I'll have to stay here for the rest of my life.. I'll be fine, I don't have a home anymore afterall..'

The boy was silently scrutinizing her every tiny expression. "It's better if you introduce yourself and about your life in as much detailed as possible.. As I have said before you've crossed a very long way where you don't belong but you are still here. That means something.."

"Does that mean I am a freak or something?"

"I can't be too sure honestly. But what I am sure about that is everything has a purpose of existence. You are here on the world of Ru, though it is a very abnormal situation but at the same time it is also directed by destiny. Destiny is a very abstruse law that do not have a beginning or an ending but it has everything that is in between. That's why I am curious. What your purpose of existence is.. and what changes your existence might bring to this world.."

The boy's words seemed reasonable. So Lucia told him about her family. The betrayal of her father, her lonely mother and poor grandparents. She broke into a sob afterwards.

The boy quietly sat there and accompanied her. She poured out the grievance and felt a lot lighter. 'It's good when there is someone to share the burden with", she thought.

" I might have discovered something! Lucia McVenn." - the boy exclaimed!

He managed to startle Lucia once again.

"Just Lucia will do." - she sniffed and smiled a bit. The boy's enthusiasm was contagious.

"Now do tell what you have discovered.."

"The only different object you were in contact with was the locket last night. The people in the world has a constant fate. The only variables are usually objects if the world is 'null'. Your world isn't in an elemental plane so it must a 'null' world. The locket was probably a way or tunnel that connects the wearer with the Wheel of Space-time. It might even be a lost object from the elemental plane."

"Then how did the Locket came into a 'null' world according to your opinion?" Lucia had a curious expression on her face.

"When an object has an attributes of space, it's normal for it to change places randomly without proper supervision. And if the object is attributed to the time then it might appear in a past or present or future timeline.. But when the object has both attributes.. if left without proper management it can easily get lost and appear in different dimensions and in a different timeline. And it is random usually. So those objects are very hard to find if it gets lost." - the boy explained with patience.

Lucia could somewhat understand. "So where did it came from you think?"

"I have no idea." - The boy seemed disgruntled.

"Then how do I go back? The locket didn't come with me."

"I have a suspicion that I have yet to confirm. But it's not possible anyway.." 'No it can't be' -the boy murmured.

"What is it?"

"That locket probably belongs to this world. The things that goes away has a tendency to come back to their origin. In this case it sent you here. That can only mean you were supposed to come here. You've gotten an invitation from the children of this world who wield the laws of space and time. But that still doesn't explain how you could come here!"

"Can't you just ask your siblings whether any of them have sent the invitation?"

"It's no use. Because they can't."

"What do you mean by they can't?"

The boy looked gloomy for a second.

"There is no people in this plane who can wield the laws of space and time... except from myself."

There was a hushed silence in the cave. Two people sat side by side lost in their own thoughts.

The Eastern sky was graced with a soft warm light. The sunlight passed through the canopy shining on the cave entrance. Lucia walked out and the floating lights followed behind.. just to disappear into the warm sunlight at the cave entrance.

She looked around. This world looked like a fairy-land came straight out of the picture book. There is a little stream when multicolored fishes and creatures swam about leisurely. Flowers of different colors bloomed in abundance. The boy walked out of the cave and sat down beside the swallow stream dipping his feet under the water.

He seemed to meld into the picture book. It felt like a dream to her.

A silver haired boy sat beside the stream. The silver hair shined in the morning sunlight. The boy seemed to shine along with it. His silvery eyes filled with streaks of lights of multitude of colors looked at her. His gaze was calm and nonchalant. He stared at her as if waiting for her to ask.

"Why did you summon me?"

The boy smiled ruefully. There was a deep seeded sadness and helplessness in those beautiful eyes.

"I didn't. At least not yet..."
