Chapter 48: Chapter 46
(Amane pov)
Strolling around the lab and assisting Mobius left and right made me appear as an expert scientist.
I may not like science and physics, but my situation ended up making me an expert in them.
It's similar to selecting engineering courses in college without realizing that nearly everything you have to study involves math. On top of that, you've already paid a significant amount for tuition, so you're left with no option but to become skilled at math.
While I was engrossed in my own activities, Mobius welcomed us with a friendly smile. However, Fuxi and Nuwa seemed afraid of her smile.
"Doctor Mobius is smiling," Klein exclaimed, her face showing a surprised expression.
"Uwah!" Fuxi shrieked, taking cover behind Nuwa. "Dr. Mobius was smiling," she said. However, Nuwa walked away from her and sought refuge behind Amane. "Don't abandon me," Fuxi cried out, hurrying to join Amane's side.
Mobius approached with a smile that gradually turned into a glare. "Ara~ Are you perhaps insulting me?" she asked, causing Fuxi to tear up from her gaze.
"Stop scaring her, Dr. Mobius. Your smile was as creepy as a pervert's," I remarked while attempting to combine two cells. Unfortunately, a mutation occurred, causing rapid multiplication and death within 3 seconds.
"Hmmm... I failed," I admitted, realizing that cell combination was complex and mishandling it could lead to unintended consequences.
One wrong move, and I could potentially create a new virus.
"What did you do?" Mobius inquired, there's a hint of curiosity and pleasure in her voice, disregarding the insult.
She acted like a child who had discovered a new toy and couldn't wait to play with it.
Smiling, I explained everything I had done to her.
"Interesting, that might work," she said, recreating my experiment with greater perfection.
If I got Metis to assist me, perhaps I could achieve perfection. Right, time to get serious; I had many tasks ahead, especially since I was in charge of a whole squad. Otherwise, they'd just eat ramen all the time.
After conducting numerous experiments, we managed to successfully create a new type of nanomachine. These small robotic cells were designed to assist in managing the Honkai corruption and enhancing the resistance of those injected with them.
Although these nanomachines were still in the early stages of development, we couldn't afford to be picky. After all, we were severely lacking in test subjects—Ahem, I mean manpower. Yep, it's manpower we desperately need.

Anna held a rejected paper that stated the "Flame Chasers" project was denied due to the members' reckless behavior. Yae Sakura, a trained assassin, aimed to save the Herrscher. Kalpas was known for going berserk. Pardofelis, a woman, frequently stole valuable items. Kosma was stubborn and wouldn't listen. Aponia they feared her mind reading ability. Vill-V's unpredictable personality made her movements hard to predict.
Frustrated, Anna muttered, "Those old politicians should fight on their own, instead of just sitting around."
Amane handed her coffee, asking, "What's bothering you?"
"I'm annoyed to the council. While the world's are in danger, they're using politics," Anna replied.
Amane suggested, "I might ask Sakura and Kallen to deal with corrupt politicians. Kallen dreams of being a hero in the shadows."
"Similar to a certain person who has a sever right grade syndrome and used to talk nonsense but ended up making his words come true."
Anna laugh and smiled, resting her head on Amane's shoulder. They discussed the world's upcoming destruction, pointing at a holographic image of a hole in the earth.
Anna explained, "That's where the Mu Continent was. It's destroyed by the 9th Herrscher, who sent a black hole to that continent."
"By saving the continent Dr.Einstein sank the Mu into the sea of quanta; no one knows if the city survived," she added before falling asleep on Amane's shoulder.
"Amane," Elysia burst in and noticed Anna sleeping. She quietly approached him, whispered, "SAKURA-chan wanted you to have this," and handed over a white letter before leaving, smirking and winking at Amane.
Amane smiled wryly, formulating various plans to rescue the people from his time.
"Yeah, I almost forgot that my Kingdom is small, and the people here could really assist my kingdom growing the technology there. And they help Building comfortable homes and other necessities. It shouldn't be too difficult to bring all of humanity here to my kingdom," he whispered while summoning a shadow clone.
He dispatched the clone to dive into the sea of quanta to retrieve the city of Mu and relocate it to his Kingdom.

(Amou's perspective)
"Move, the Empress is here!" Various troublemakers yelled when they saw me walking.
Honestly, I'm taking this alley because it's faster, and I need to pick up my mom and dad.
Surprisingly, they're on vacation in Korea, visiting Johan.
Ugh... The smell is awful, making me want to destroy this whole place. Cigarette are all over the floor, and there's a urine stain on the wall.
I glared at the man cowering in fear, along with the others.
None of them dared to move under my watchful eyes. "All of you should clean this place, it's disgusting," I ordered, as they quickly scattered.
As fast as they left, they returned just as swiftly. Carrying cleaning supplies, some even brought a janitor with them.
"What brings you here, Empress?" A guy in a white coat asked as he walked by, with another man looking around.
"Gun, or should I call you 'Shiro-Onii'... But I don't have to answer your question."
My reply made the man next to him laugh at Gun. But Gun himself remained expressionless, looking at me.
"I should follow you before you cause a big fight," he said, and my eye twitched. He scanned the surroundings and continued, "It's the first time I've seen you without him. Did you two break up?"
His questions were so amusing that I burst into laughter.
"Hahahahaha!" The joke was incredibly funny, and I couldn't control my laughter. Amane and I breaking up? That's absolutely not happening.
He loves me as much as I love him. We understand each other deeply, even though Amane has had many girlfriends. He's the kind of guy who gives back the love he gets.
"I see, you can't seem to let go of that monster. Well, you two are a good match," Gun said, following me as we left the alley behind, the group of troublemakers now cleaning the whole place.
I encountered him in the past when his entire Yakuza family gang unexpectedly blocked my path during a fight. I was in the middle of battling when they suddenly appeared, leaving me with no choice but to give them a painful beating.
Then, out of nowhere, another stranger showed up wielding a wooden sword attached to a chain. He looked at me with lustful eyes to the point he got erection when he saw me.
It angered me greatly that he looked at me that way, especially when he was so weak and didn't know me that much. So... I broke his bones.
While I was lost on my own thoughts. All of a sudden, my body moved on its own, and I nearly sliced off the arm of the man attempting to smash something to my shoulder.
"Argh!" The man with the injured arm groaned as he was taken aback by my counterattack.
Fortunately, I held back; otherwise, his arm would have been reduced to pieces.
