Chapter 1: Chapter 1
"Make a wise choice on your starter Brendan; this Pokemon will be your companion, the Pokemon you can rely on the most as a friend. So, don't regret your decision after you choose your starter."
Inside a large and open room, which had of multiple complicated machinery, there was a man in a lab coat in his 30s, staring eagerly at the teen in front of him, wondering which Pokemon this person would pick as his starter. This person was Professor Birch, the official Professor of the Hoenn region, and an old student of Professor Oak.
'It's finally happening ever since being reincarnated. I've dreamt of this moment; this isn't a game, this is all real."
Brendan thought to himself as he gulps silently.
There was only one Pokemon Brendan thought of when first thinking about his starter, so it was obvious to him what starter he wanted. After spending 16 years in this world and becoming an assistant for Professor Birch, he's learned a lot throughout these years, soaking up all the information he could to become the strongest trainer he possibly can.
Brendan still remembers being a toddler growing up all over again, and when he turned 12 was allowed by his mother to become the assistant to Professor Birch. Growing up and watching all the Pokemon battles on the internet blew his mind and made his fanboy show up from time to time.
You can't go on a Pokemon journey at the age of 10, but go to a trainer's school at that age and learn about Pokemon and the general stuff schools teach like math and English. The age to go on a journey by yourself was 16 after finishing trainer school.
By graduating from trainer school, there were many options for jobs when they graduated (Rangers, Police, etc).
By the age of 12 Brendan was able to become the assistant of Professor Birch because of his academic grades and connections through his father, who is a Gym leader.
"Here are the royal starters of Hoenn you can choose from."
Three red beams shot out of their respective poke balls and appeared Treeko, Torchic and Mudkip
"Now what's your choice?"
Professor Birch asked eagerly
