Chapter 9: Start of a Chaotic Day: The Baratie Encounter.
As he watched them, he saw two more guys behind Zoro. "Hm? They should be Johnny and Yosaku; after all, they were the ones who brought them here."
While he was observing them, they were also looking at him. "This guy is dangerous," thought Zoro as he prepared to fight.
"Impossible," mumbled Nami, while Usopp trembled in fear. "Amazing! How did you do that?" asked an excited Luffy.
But Gohan ignored him and asked, "Who fired that cannonball?" while dusting off his hands. "The Marines! They fired it," said Usopp. "Yes," said Johnny, while others also nodded.
He looked towards the Marines. "What are you guys trying to achieve by firing that cannonball at the restaurant?" asked Gohan with a calm voice.
"But we fired it towards these pirates, but that guy wearing a straw hat deflected it towards the restaurant," said a soldier while pointing at Luffy.
Gohan looked at Luffy, but Luffy looked away and said, "They are lying." Everyone had black lines on their faces after hearing that.
Gohan sighed and said, "I don't care! You guys are not allowed to use cannons near the restaurant. Do you get it?"
"Boy! Do you know who I am?" asked a lame-looking Marine. 'He should be Fullbody, such a stupid-looking face,' thought Gohan.
"No! And I don't care. If you are here to eat, you better behave, or I will throw you out," said Gohan. "So, tell me, are you guys here to eat or to create trouble?" he asked both groups.
"TO EAT!" shouted Luffy, while Fullbody gritted his teeth with anger. Just as he was about to say something, a woman came out from his cabin.
"Are we there yet, Mister Fullbody?" asked the woman. "Yes, my lady," replied Fullbody. "So, are you here to eat as well?" asked Gohan again.
"Yes," replied Fullbody, not wanting to ruin his impression in front of the woman.
"Alright then! Welcome to Baratie! My name is Gohan, and I am a temporary manager of Baratie," said Gohan with a smile. "Please follow me. I will take you guys to your tables."
"But remember that! If you guys cause trouble inside the restaurant, I will throw you out," he said as he waited for everyone to follow him.
"Ok! Gum Gum..." said Luffy as he wanted to slingshot himself towards the restaurant, but Nami punched him on the head. "Didn't you hear him say not to cause trouble?" she said, her teeth resembling a shark.
"But, Nami, I am hungry!" Luffy whined. "Did you forget we are here to recruit a cook? If you create trouble, no one will agree to come with us. So you better behave yourself," said Nami.
Everyone followed Gohan to the restaurant, and he showed them their tables and called out, "Sanji! Please take their orders while I take these guys' orders," said Gohan, pointing at Fullbody because he had a feeling that Fullbody wanted to take revenge for the earlier incident, and Gohan didn't have the mood to play with him.
Sanji looked towards Fullbody, but after looking at the woman beside the guy, he became excited. "Yes~~~," said Sanji as he got there quickly and started flirting with the woman.
"Ok! Please look at the menu and tell me what you guys would like to order?" said Gohan as he gave the menu to Nami. But before she could even read it, Luffy said, "Meat! A lot of meat," and Zoro added, "And booze."
Gohan looked at Nami while she looked at him apologetically. Then she started ordering for everyone. Gohan took their order and told them to wait for their food to arrive.
He went towards the kitchen and told the chef to prepare the order. But just as he was getting back, he heard a commotion.
It was Fullbody getting beaten up by Sanji. 'Well, serves him right,' he started walking towards them, but he heard a gunshot.
He looked towards the entrance to see a Marine soldier lying on the floor and a man standing over him with a gun. 'Gin, huh?' thought Gohan. Gin walked in and sat at the table.
Gohan was expecting him to call for Patty, but Gin looked at him. "Oye waiter!" Gin called. 'Of course, he will call for me. I am the closest to him right now,' he thought and started walking towards him.
Straw Hats were also looking in their direction, expecting an interesting show. Gohan walked up to him and asked, "What would you like to have, sir?"
"Hey, Gohan! First, ask if he has any money or not," interjected Patty. Gohan sighed but asked while smiling, "Dear sir, do you have money to pay for your food?" asked Gohan.
"No! But do you take bullets?" said Gin as he aimed his gun at him. Silence descended in the restaurant. Straw Hats leaned forward in anticipation.
Gohan looked at the gun with a straight face, and before anyone could blink, he snatched it from Gin's hand. "Please don't point such a dangerous thing at my face," said Gohan with a smile.
Everyone in the restaurant blinked and rubbed their eyes as they couldn't believe what they were seeing. "Was it a Devil Fruit ability?" asked Nami to Luffy and Zoro.
"I don't know," said Zoro. "Me either, but it was amazing," said Luffy as stars filled his eyes. "He snatched it!" said Usopp. Everyone looked at him as Gohan also looked at him from the corner of his eye.
'Impressive! As expected of a man who is born to be a sniper,' thought Gohan with a smile. "Did you see it, Usopp? You are amazing," said Luffy with a laugh.
"Of course! Who do you think I am? After all, I am Captain Us—" "Cut the bullshit and tell us what you saw," said Nami. "I didn't see clearly. All I saw was a blur, but I am definitely sure that he moved his hands to snatch the gun," said Usopp.
'Who is this guy? And why is he working in this restaurant?' thought Nami. As they were talking, Gohan was looking at the gun. 'Such poor quality,' he thought, examining it.
"I hate guns!" said Gohan as he crushed it with his hand. It broke into pieces, and everyone gasped seeing that.
"Oye, Sanji! This guy doesn't have money, and it looks like he might die if we don't feed him. What should I do with him?" asked Gohan.
"Leave him to me. You can go take care of other customers," said Sanji as he took Gin outside. Gohan went to get the food that Straw Hats had ordered. As he was going, he saw Luffy sneaking out.
After a while, he got back with their food. Luffy was already back and eager to eat. "Here's
your food! Please enjoy!" said Gohan.
They started eating while praising. When they were done eating, Gohan gave Nami the bill. Nami took it, but after looking at it, her eyes widened with shock. "HOW CAN IT BE THIS MUCH?" she yelled.
"Please don't yell, miss. You can calculate it yourself. You should know how much this guy has eaten," said Gohan, pointing at Luffy. Nami looked at Luffy, who had turned into a sumo and slumped down.
But she suddenly stood up and leaned over Gohan's shoulder. "Can't you give a discount for a pitiful girl like me?" said Nami, trying to seduce him.
Gohan observed her. When he looked at her upper body, he was impressed, which made Nami happy. But when he looked at her lower body, he sighed. "Such a shame," he said with pity.
Nami started trembling and pounced on him, but Usopp held her. "LET ME GO!! WHY DID YOU MAKE THAT FACE, YOU BASTARD! LET GO, USOPP! I AM GOING TO TEACH HIM A LESSON!" But Usopp held on.
Suddenly, Sanji came and asked, "What happened? My lady, did this bastard bully you?" Nami suddenly acted pitiful and said, "Yes." Sanji looked at Gohan with anger and started attacking.
'This idiot!!' Gohan sighed while dodging his attacks. "Well, I don't care anymore; you can settle their bill," said Gohan as he walked away. "Yes! Go away, you bastard," said Sanji.
"My name is Sanji, can I help you with something? My lady!" as his eyes turned into hearts. "This... Sanji, I can't pay for the food because some pirates stole my money," Nami said, acting indignant.
"What! They dare? You don't have to worry about the bill. How can I let a beautiful girl pay for the food?" said Sanji, trying to look charming. "Thank you, Sanji," said Nami as she started dancing like a snake in happiness.
Just then, Gin came back into the restaurant, and he was carrying a large man on his shoulder. Gohan looked over and sighed. "Well, shit is about to go down, for them," muttered Gohan. "But finally, I will get to see the coolest character in all of the anime," he said in anticipation.
