When the light dissipated, they found themselves in a lush landscape, where green hills and majestic mountains stretched as far as the eye could see. A new realm unfolded before them, and both felt a mix of awe and confusion.
Before they could catch their breath, a small squirrel appeared before them, dressed in a robe that seemed disproportionately large for its body. The squirrel, in a shrill voice, explained that Rishi and Shinie had been reincarnated as heroes destined to confront the advance of the demon king's army—the world's only hope against this malevolent threat.
However, to the squirrel's surprise, Rishi and Shinie did not seem scared or discouraged by the situation. On the contrary, excitement and determination lit up their gazes. They shared a knowing look, their voices overlapping as they enthusiastically discussed what superpowers they would possess as protagonists.
"I'm sure I'm the protagonist!" exclaimed Rishi, raising his index finger with conviction. "I have years of experience in battle strategies thanks to the manga I've read!"
Shinie raised an eyebrow, offering a challenging smile. "I'm not so sure, weirdo. My intuition tells me I'm the true protagonist. I have keen instincts and I'm skilled in martial arts."
The squirrel, observing the heated debate with a perplexed expression, tried to intervene. "Uh, you both are important! Together, you have the power to face the demon king. You need to work as a team!"
However, the two continued to passionately argue about who would be the true protagonist, leaving the squirrel in a mixture of frustration and amusement. With these two characters so different yet equally determined, the fate of the new world seemed uncertain and full of surprises.
And thus, the first chapter of this thrilling journey came to an end, leaving readers curious about the fate of Rishi and Shinie in this unknown world, where the threat of the demon king awaited their confrontation as reincarnated heroes.
