Chapter 165: Against Dugu Bo!
"Hm? Who dared to trespass this old man's place?!" Liu Erlong heard a gruff voice and she quickly turned her head. She saw an old man in a green dress and a beautiful girl with short dark blue hair and green eyes walking towards her.
Liu Erlong was startled seeing them "Poison Douluo Dugu Bo!" she mumbled.
Dugu Bo frowned seeing Liu Erlong standing near the cliff "You are...Liu Erlong of the Golden Iron Triangle? What are you doing here in my medicinal garden?"
Dugu Yan was also surprised to see the woman "Liu Erlong?"
Liu Erlong maintained an indifferent expression "We came here for Spirit Beast hunting and we unexpectedly stumbled upon this place."
Dugu Bo's frown deepened "We? There are even more?" he asked in confusion and looked around. But he can't see anyone other than Liu Erlong in the proximity.
"And you said, you unexpectedly stumbled? Liu Erlong, you broke through my poison array coincidentally? Don't spit lies!"
"Tell me the reason why you arrived here, Liu Erlong?!" Dugu Bo asked in a high pitch voice.
But Liu Erlong didn't flinch and replied "We really came for Spirit Hunting *shreek*" but her whole body stiffened and her eyes widened in shock.
With an imposing demeanor, Dugu Bo exerted his pressure on her "You came to take my precious medicinal herbs, right?!" he uttered coldly.
Liu Erlong gritted her teeth and released her martial spirit. The phantom of the fire dragon appeared behind her as the scorching fire began to swirl her body and her spirit rings were also released.
"Ho? Want to fight me, A Titled Douluo. You are just a Soul Saint of level 78. It might be quite rigid if you are with the Golden Iron Triangle, but now..."
Dugu Bo's eyes gleamed green as he released his aura and a huge pressure fell on Liu Erlong. *thud* Overwhelmed by his aura, her body trembled uncontrollably, forcing her to collapse onto her knees.
In response to the overwhelming coercion, her martial spirit and spirit rings withdrew themselves.
Seeing this, Liu Erlong clenched her fist in anger and tried to resist the pressure. Dugu Bo maintained a stoic expression, "Tell me who is with yo-"
*ROOAARR* Suddenly, a tremendous dragon's roar reverberated throughout the area, causing the ground to tremble beneath their feet. The sheer intensity of the sound left them utterly astounded, their eardrums on the verge of bursting from the deafening noise.
Dugu Bo stood there in shock but he soon came out of it and quickly arrived near the end of the cliff and glanced at the Ice and Fire Well. His eyes shook in surprise looking at the illuminating golden color emitting from the lake.
Dugu Yan also came beside him "G-Grandpa, What is happening?"
Dugu Bo squinted his eyes in confusion "I don't know, Yan'er. Is someone down there...but how?" he was confused as the extreme heat and chill is even fatal for him.
He turned his eyes at Liu Erlong who is glaring at him "Liu Erlong, what did you do? Is someone with you there?"
However, to his dismay, she remained silent and cast an intense glare in his direction. Dugu Bo got infuriated seeing this and compressed the pressure even further, causing Liu Erlong's entire being to quiver uncontrollably as excruciating pain coursed through her body
Though, she didn't utter a word and looked at him furiously. Dugu Bo's anger raised seeing her not answering him and glaring at him.
But then he noticed Liu Erlong tightly clutching a shirt in her left hand while kneeling with only her right hand on the floor. Hm?
"Oi, Dugu Bo!" A voice cutting through the air with a chilling tone was heard.
Both Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan turned their gazes towards the Fire and Ice Ying Yan well and saw Xuan Yan standing on the surface of the water. Liu Erlong smirked with a little chuckle hearing his voice. Brat!
Dugu Yan was taken aback seeing Xuan Yan standing there half-naked. Her face flushed seeing his body but seeing his icy glare her body shrieked in fear as she hid behind Dugu Bo.
*swish* Xuan Yan appeared beside Liu Erlong nullifying the coercion on her. Liu Erlong let out a sigh of relief and stood up.
"You're late, brat!"
Xuan Yan showed a little smile and glanced at Dugu Bo. Dugu Bo's pupils shrank in shock "Dio Bran- ARGHHH!" he was blasted away and *bash* fell on the floor.
Dugu Yan was horrified seeing this and hurried to Dugu Bo "Grandpaaa!"
Xuan Yan ran his fingers through his hair and the wetness in his body disappeared. "Here!" Liu Erlong extended her hand giving him his shirt.
"Oh, it seems like you protected it from getting dirty." Xuan Yan asked with a cheeky smile. "Just wear it!"
Xuan Yan nodded and took the shirt as he wore it without fastening the buttons.
Dugu Bo slowly got up from the ground and shook his head feeling a lil bit of dizziness. "Grandpa, are you alright?" Dugu Yan asked in concern.
"I'm alright. Yan'er!" he said and glimpsed at Xuan Yan walking towards him.
"You dare to bully Erlong?" Xuan Yan asked keeping a stoic face. Dugu Bo furrowed his eyebrows and saw Liu Erlong smirking at him smugly.
He then turned his gaze at Xuan Yan "It's no wonder, they consider you a rival for the Holy prince. You are powerful. But...why are you here. in my medicine garden?"
"Of course! came here to get the immortal herbs." Xuan Yan replied and Dugu Bo narrowed his eyes "Sorry, but I can't give them to you!"
"Hm? Why? It's not like you created this Heavenly treasure. And you didn't plant the immortal herbs there." Xuan Yan asked.
"But I am the one who first found it and I am maintaining those medicinal herbs." Dugu Bo replied.
Xuan Yan nodded "That's reasonable. So, let's fight!"
"Huh? Why does my grandpa need to fight you!" Dugu Yan asked in anger.
Xuan Yan gave her a look "Oh! You fart girl!"
Dugu Yan's eyes flinched in anger as green spirit energy shrouded her body "What did you call me?"
But Dugu Bo stopped her "Stop it, Yan'er!" and shifted his gaze at Xuan Yan "Why do I have to fight you."
Xuan Yan sighed "Just imagine that you are the king of a country and I am invading your country. At last, I won the war against you, so...who does the country belong to now?"
Dugu Bo contemplated his words and he realized it. Xuan Yan took two steps forward "Seems like you realized it..."
Dugu Bo took a fighting posture "Yan'er, retreat to a safe distance." he said and Dugu Yan nodded.
Dugu Bo released his martial spirit and a large green phantom of a green color snake appeared - Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor, along with his spirit rings.
Massive spirit energy burst out from his body as snake scales covered his body and his 8th black ring glittered. Dugu Bo knows that Xuan Yan is strong, so he is going all out at the start.
Xuan Yan smiled "Starting with the 8th ring?" A thick, green poison mist enveloped both of them, enveloping their surroundings in an eerie haze.
Liu Erlong thought of stepping back, but a transparent barrier formed around her 'Don't worry Erlong!' Xuan Yan's voice was heard in her head making a smile appear on her face.
Dugu Bo's intense gaze was fixed upon Xuan Yan, who stood composedly amidst the toxic mist and yelled "Time Freezer!" *swo-
Dugu Bo's sinister grin stretched across his face as time itself came to a halt. This extraordinary ability he possessed was none other than his eighth spirit skill, a power that allowed him to freeze time for a brief but impactful period. This is his trump card.
Then his 7th ring shined, "Spirit Avatar!" His body vanished and a giant green snake appeared in front of Xuan Yan. (A/n: Pic here!)
*swish* With a swift and elegant movement, the giant serpent lifted its head and propelled itself towards Xuan Yan with immense power, all while Xuan Yan remained frozen in time. 'This is what you get for acting cocky in front of me, Hmph!'
As Dugu Bo approached him with great speed, he couldn't help but sense that something was wrong. He saw Xuan Yan's blue pupils staring back at him in the time freeze. He was horrified seeing this as his gaze sent shivers down his spine. H-How?
*swish* Xuan Yan disappeared from his place Huh? leaving the giant serpent's head bewildered amidst the swirling poison mist as it frantically scoured its surroundings in a desperate search for any trace of Xuan Yan's presence.
*swish* Xuan Yan appeared perfectly in line with the giant serpent's menacing face. Without giving it a moment to retaliate, he delivered a powerful and impactful kick directly to its monstrous visage.
The force of the impact was immense, causing the entire body of the serpent to come crashing down upon the ground with a resounding boom. *Boom*
Xuan Yan's eyes glittered blue and the whole mist was cleared. Dugu Yan was shocked to see her Grandpa's Spirit Avatar beat down.
*swoosh* The Giant Serpent again whirled and appeared in front of Xuan Yan. Displaying its menacing fangs, it proceeded to lunge toward him once again.
Xuan Yan extended his arm and Ea appeared in his hand. *clank* He blocked the fangs with his Ea and he remained suspended in mid-air, seemingly unaffected by the opposing force.
"RAARR" The Giant snake let out a loud, ferocious roar before forcefully pushing Xuan Yan. However, Xuan Yan managed to block the attack and swiftly retaliated with a powerful kick, resulting in a booming impact. *Boom*
The Ea sword emitted a radiant crimson glow and five high-speed thrusts followed by a downward cut and an upward cut, finishing with a full-force upward cut.
With a resounding *cracK* echoing through the air, numerous powerful sword slashes descended upon the giant serpent, causing it to shatter into countless vibrant green fragments and the body of Dugu Bo fell on the floor *thud*.
*cough* Dugu Bo coughed and raised on his knees. Xuan Yan appeared in front of him "It's my win!"
Dugu Bo gritted his teeth and yelled "I won't give you this medicine garden even if I die!!!"
Xuan Yan nodded "I know! The hourglass for your granddaughter is tickling, right?"
Dugu Bo's eyes widened in shock "H-How do you know that?"
Xuan Yan sighed "I just need this immortal herbs and if I want I can take them even now. But it'd be bullying the weak and you are the one who really took care of this medicine garden."
"So let's make a deal, shall we?"
