Chapter 39: Another Island Trial
The next day,
I am excited about my grand trial with Olivia but it's gonna happen after I give my Island Trial. I head towards the breakfast table as I see Lillie, Mallow and Lana heading there.
Serena has a feaver so she is sleeping the door next to me. I just gave her breakfast and I returning from there.
"How is she?" Lillie asked as she saw me
"Better than before" I said sitting down
"Gather in the ground fast and how is Serena?" Olivia asked as she entered inside
"She is better than before"
"Ok, it's important so come in the ground as soon as possible" Olivia said before leaving. In the past few days while I was recovering, I have come to know about the things an Island kahuna has to do and they are a hell lot.
I feel bad for Olivia that she has to do these many things and didn't have time for herself even though she is my girlfriend. I will do something about that in the future.

After we took our breakfast, we got into the ground. There we saw professor kukui speaking with Olivia. I will ask about it later.
Kukui and Olivia inform us that, as part of our daily curriculum, we will be divided into three teams, provided with maps with some basic information, to fetch all the ingredients that are essential to prepare the island's years-old delicacy: the Akala curry.
The pairs were chosen by drawing same colour sticks. The three pairs that made were consisting of Lillie and Kiawe, second group of Lana and Sophocles and the third pair of me and Mallow.
All groups have to collect three materials. For us, the materials we have to collect are Mago Berry, Revival Herb and Miracle Seed. Mallow is excited and states that Miracle Seeds are exceedingly rare.
As we were going to leave, Olivia calls Mallow back and say something in her ear, which I obviously couldn't hear. Well, it's not like I mind as long as it's not a boy or anyone flirting with them.
After their 'secret talk' was over, we head towards the Jungle to find the ingredients of the Akala Curry.
The first thing we decided to collect was Mago Berry. According to the map, the tree can be found at a nearby hilltop, which I quickly locates.
I sent out Decidueye as she will fly and get the Mago Berries silently. And as I thought, Decidueye easily got the Mago Berry.
The next ingredient we decided to collect is Revival Herb that can be found at a nearby rocky mound. Although this task initially appears different, I brought out rockruff who quickly locates the Revival Herb using her sharp sense of smell.
With a little effort, Mallow and I squeeze ourselves inside the narrow grotto and collect the Revival Herbs.
The last ingredient left is the rare Miracle Seed. We venture off into a cave with multiple tunnels branching off at every junction. Here also, rockruff's sharp sense of smell made us get out of the cave.

Once we leave the cave, we found ourselves amidst a paradise of colourful flowers and lush foliage. We soon found a hollow tree stump, inside which, a wide variety of berries are stacked. Digging into the pile, I found the Miracle Seeds.
But as I was to take them, a colossal pokemon swats is away with Petal Blizzard. It's a Lurantis and it's size tells that it is a Totem Pokemon.
I took out Incineroar to battle against it as I will get a Grassium Z from this because it's my island trial going on right now.
I knew that Ash's island trial happened this way in the anime but I didn't thaught that my island trial will happen in the similar was and it looks like Mallow was also involved in this when she talked with Olivia.
I took out Incineroar as she is one of the best options I have to battle against a Grass type pokemon like Lurantis. I told Incineroar to use Heat Crash as it is super efficient against a Lurantis who is charging her Solar Blade. When Lurantis tries to charge another Solar Blade, I told Incineroar to use combo of Fire Pledge and Fire Fang.
After another Solar Blade misses, Lurantis calls for an ally and it turns out to be a Castform that transforms into sunny form after using Sunny day.
The bright sunlight allows Lurantis to use Solar Blade without building up power. Castform further helps by incapacitating Incineroar by using Water Gun.
I sent out Frogadier as water type moves are ineffective against him. I told Incineroar to use Agility and Close Combat against Castform and Frogadier to use Agility and Aerial Ace against Lurantis.
After battling for a short while, Castform is unable to continue battle. With Castform's defeat, the effects of Sunny Day also disappear.
Before Lurantis could unleash another Solar Blade, I used my z-move, Hydro Vortex. Crushing both of them making Castform loose the remaining consciousness from which, it's eyes were open.
After that, Mallow revives Castform and Lurantis with some extra leaves of the Revival Herbs and I am rewarded with a Grassium Z by the Totem Pokemon.
Suddenly, Olivia pops out and congratulates all of us with warm embraces. She reveals that, gathering ingredients for the Akala curry was part of the island trial. I ask that was there Mallow's involvement in Olivia's plan, to which she sheepishly gives a nod. We celebrate my victory, nevertheless.
"Congratulations on the victory in island trial" Olivia said coming towards me while we all taste the Akala Curry at the dinner table.
"Thanks Olivia"
"You will be able to give your Grand Trial tomorrow
And how are you feeling?" Olivia asked turning her head towards Serena, who was sitting beside me.
"I am feeling much better. Thank you" Serena replied in a weak voice
"Ok, I will talk you about something else later" Olivia said. I think that she wanted to talk about 'something' as she couldn't talk about that 'something' because Serena is here.
"Ok" I said as Olivia left.

After we took our dinner, I picked up Serena in my arms and took her into her room.
As I was taking her to her room, there was a blush on her face and she blushed even more after Sophocles started teasing us about this and she got some jealous gazes from Lillie, Mallow, Lana and Olivia.
