Chapter 2: Ritual

Amanises cast 'Her' gaze on Klein in the physical world. 'She' wanted to see if it involved 'Her' fellow transmigrator.

Aside from Klein, 'She' was also a transmigrator from the era before the First Epoch. It was called the Earth Era. 'She' was released from the world of cocoons inside the Sefirah Castle at the end of the Second Epoch.

Klein and other transmigrators reminded 'Her' of the Earth Era, crucial for 'Her' to maintain 'Her' humanity, preventing 'Her' from losing control.

'She' saw Klein sleeping on the bed quietly, perhaps due to the exhaustion of his recent 'awakening'.

…

The sun has replaced the crimson moon in the sky, lighting the world in its shade, bringing warmth to every single species.

Klein slowly opened his eyes, the golden cocoon surrounding him dispersing into golden spots of lights that turned into nothingness.

He saw that he really became The Fool because of a momentary lampooning, a wry smile appearing in his lips.

Shaking his head, he inspected the surroundings and saw the traces of blood in every corner of his room.

Klein received the knowledge about the abilities of the Fool Pathway. Aside from that, he knew it by heart because he usually browsed the wiki of the novel.

Wishing that his room would revert before the attempt of suicide, he flicked his fingers to grant the wish.

In the next instant, the dried blood in the room vanished as if an eraser was deleting it from existence. The odd stench disappeared in the vicinity.

There were still traces of blood in his clothes and parts of body, but it was an easy feat for him to remove. He granted another wish and every trace disappeared.

Knock! Knock!

"Klein, I'm going in."

His sister, Melissa entered his eyesight, dressed in old attire while carrying a tattered bag for her books. She looked energetic yet pitiful.

"Klein, I'm going to school now. Buy a few bread and vegetables for dinner. Don't forget! Bye!"

She slammed the door shut after reminding Klein, running downstairs to start walking to her school.

Klein appeared in a daze, never expecting Melissa to be in a hurry. He hurriedly stood up and appeared behind her in the middle of the streets.

Clasping her shoulder, Melissa jumped in fright as she nervously turned her, only to find Klein. She secretly heaved a sigh of relief before she frowned.

Klein smiled and ignored her indignance for surprising her from behind. His teleportation remained unseen because he casted a large scale illusion to trick everyone's eyes.

"Melissa, here. Ride a public carriage, don't walk to the school."

Klein grabbed her hand and placed a soli in it. He did not wait for her as he hailed a public carriage to stop.

"Klein, what are you doing?"

"Now, now. I already have a job. I forgot to tell you last night because I was tired and went to sleep early. They paid me in advance."

Melissa gaped, appearing in shock. It seemed like it surprised her very much. She looked at Klein suspiciously.

"I'm telling the truth! Just ride the public carriage. Your big brother now has money to at least support your fare so just go."

Klein's smile never left his face as he pushed the suspicious Melissa into the public carriage. He waved his hand, watching the public carriage vanish into the distance.

He had become Klein Moretti and Zhou Mingrui completely. He felt very happy that his little sister Melissa does not need to walk anymore.

Wishing a few soli to appear in his pocket, Klein leisurely walked around Tingen to Mrs. Smyrin's bakery to buy two dozens of rye bread, a bag of biscuits and a few lemon bread.

"Oh, Klein. Is there an occasion?"

Mrs. Smyrin looked surprised that Klein splurged three solis in a single go. She looked at the young man with a smile.

"Yes. I have gotten a job and I would like to give Melissa a few treats."

He smiled back and went to the other street to buy a kilo of beef, planning to cook his little sister a nice dinner tonight.

He went back to their two bedroom apartment, carrying a few bags containing ingredients and food from his endeavor.

Dropping the bags on the table, Klein removed his coat and placed it on the wooden bench before sweeping up his sleeves.

It was still morning and he has yet to eat any breakfast. Despite being a true god, he did not feel like anything changed.

Klein was still full of humanity. His mythical form did not affect him in any way because of Irregularity.

He cooked a nice breakfast with great skill, using his memories as a guide. After eating breakfast, he went back to his room.

Placing four pieces of rye bread in every four corners of his room, he took four steps clockwise and attempted the ritual.

"Blessing Stem from the Immortal Lord of Heaven and Earth."

"Blessings Stem from the Sky Lord of Heaven and Earth."

"Blessings Stem from the Exalted Thearch of the Heaven and Earth."

"Blessings Stem from the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth."

He felt his body teleport towards an unknown place, as four crimson symbols burrowed itself to his hand.

His gaze blurred before he saw an endless gray fog appear in front of him. A white door of light constantly rippling, white staircase showing off a primordial aura.

"...The Sefirah Castle."
