Chapter 1: A Forgotten Soul
The sky was dark as the gray clouds close the sky. Rain pours down like a water fall, filling the road making a small river. If you ignore the sound of raindrops falling you can hear heavy foot steps on the street next to the road. A crowd of students were walking home. There was jokes, laughter, and stories shared, but there was one that was left out. A teenager about 14 years old walk down the road following the crowd. He wears a soaking black jacket lined with red, the pants and shoes where the same. The only difference is his white eyes and black mask.
His name was David, known as the 'ghost' kid. He rarely had friends and because of how alone and ghost like he was, he gained that nickname. He has no last name, even though his family does. David at the ground as he walks down the street with crowd, he can barely hear them over the pouring rain. He didn't have an umbrella since he couldn't afford one, he couldn't have a ride home since his family hates him, the only thing that is even feeding his belly is the scraps left at the table, the free lunch at school, and stealing. Today was a Wednesday so he didn't have lunch, even with the crowd yelling and the rain falling can't block the sound of his empty stomach. He sighed to himself as he stares at nothing, he has emotion but can't feel them, he has thoughts but cannot connect them, he has desires but can't fufill them.
He lived in a rich town that was in the middle of nowwhere and supplies and food can only get here by plane. Everyone there knows each other since it was small town and got along with one another. It was a happy and exciting town, but there will always be someone left behind, and that someone is David.
In this dark and lonely World he only has himself, his friends and so called comrades say that they will there for him but they never come. His family hates him because of his eyes and hair, because they are a Christian family think that he is a demon spawn wants to kill him. The only reason why he is still alive is because his family think he should suffer and death is to good for him. He hates pain, if anything he fears the most it's pain and his family took advantage of it. They whipped him, cut him, and tortured him till they feel satisfied thinking that they are doing a 'righteous' task. A normal person would have already commit suicide but David had no courage to do it, not that if he can even think of it. His 'family' despise him so much they wouldn't even let have a first and last name. He got his first name on accident.
It was all the same to him, even if something different happens it is all the same. He knows that it won't be different than anyother day. The rain continue to pour and pour till it mysteriously stopped. David and the crowd noticing this looked up to see the almost pitch black clouds still covering the sky.
One teenager with glasses yelled "Run! A hail is gonna start!"
Everyone screamed and ran for shelter leaving only David behind. He did not care what the teenager said and just continued on his way 'home'. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain from his shoulder. David screamed as slips down on the wet street. He looked over a saw a ice cube the size of his fist deep into his flesh. David looked up again and saw a true nightmare. What seems to be millions of ice cubes replaced the rain and poured onto him. He died pain and sorrow as he watches the ice demons crush his body.
The next day, another crowd of students walked to school walking over the pile of ice cubes, stomping them with there feet until one noticed a bloody ice cube. They stared for a moment and looked ahead and saw a bloody body that was twisted cruely with several ice cubes still plunged into the flesh.
The police came and made investigation only for it to close a week later saying David died by the hail. No one show any emotion, no one cried, no one griefed, leaving on a happy family for this divine punishment.
The next weeks however the worst came to worst throughout the entire town. The water system was poisoned naturally, food became scarce from the plane crashing from a leaking fuel tank, and the lift off airport is being attacked by a hurricane. The town was hit by a almost incurable disease called COVID-19 causing 3/4 of the population to die in just one month. The worst of it however was David's 'Family'. The mother got a tumer in her head and because of the limited amount of medical supplies they couldn't get it out. The father got fired from his job before the pandemic so they didn't have much cash for food. The sister and brother was bullied in school and got kicked of from the 'popular' kids. But worst of all because of the limited amount of food the town resorted to cannibalism. David's 'family' was the first to be eaten after the dead bodies, they watch how their friends, and neighbors slowly tore them up and eat their flesh.
When the last family member died the town became what it used to be. The plane came and brought food and water, the water system was fixed, and the COVID-19 was cured by a young genius doctor by chance. The remaining town residents however were all thrown in prison for the rest of their lives for conspiring against a family of four and the fact that they ate them. They became the disgrace of the entire human race and was despised by everyone.
At one point if you pay attention you could see that of David's dead white eyes were glowing. Which quickly faded away.
