Chapter 2: Not waiting, trying to get healthy, and Tobirama's Ultimatum

Akame officially starts her duties as a maid and she is appalled at the mess one wouldn't be able to tell with her blank face. Akame starts by cleaning up all the sake bottles and moves on to putting dirty clothes into a bin among other things. She then goes to start making breakfast and makes a simple french toast with a side of eggs and bacon. She looks down at her maid outfit and can't help but inwardly grimace. She starts eating not waiting for Hiruzen to wake up.

About twenty minutes later Hiruzen wakes up and sees his breakfast that was kept warm by a fire jutsu that is being maintained by Akame who is sitting on a chair reading a book in one hand and using her other hand to continue keeping the heat up.

Akame considers introducing this world to all the Manga she has read. It would be a great source of income later on as housing expenses are always expensive as if the people renting it out are crooks. But introducing Manga to the world is easier said than done.

"Couldn't you have waited for me to wake up so we could eat together?" Hiruzen sends an aggrieved look toward Akame.

"Not waiting." Akame cleaned the whole mansion from 4 to 8 in the morning. It was a rather small mansion but a mansion nonetheless and her malnourished body is screaming in pain from all the work. She desperately needed food after all of that.

Akame goes to the yard and practices her mastery over swordsmanship and ignores the astonished gasps from Hiruzen and the rest of the clan members going about. She continues practicing even though her body is screaming in pain and finally the exhaustion caught up and she falls face-first to the ground.

'I need to get healthy and fast...' Akame rolls onto her back and stares at the morning sky with a stoic face.

"Hey, are you okay kid?" Hiruzen asks a dumb question.

"I'm malnourished and am trying to get healthy... Do I look okay?" Akame shows her usually stoic face but Hiruzen thinks she is pouting on the inside. Hiruzen can see that she doesn't show her emotions and clearly has closed herself off from everything and everyone making him show pity again.

'This girl needs some care and love to open up and I just don't have the time or luxury of giving that to her. Hopefully, she can recover fast so that she can attend the ninja academy and make some friends that can give her what she clearly has never known... A child that is loveless... Those Uchiha are too cruel.' Hiruzen shows a sorrowful look while glancing up at the sky and then looks back to the girl that is broken inside and smiles kindly and carries her in a princess carry and takes her to a room he had set up just for her all the while hearing protests in a monotone voice.

"You kidnapped one of our clan members! Give her back!" Some Uchiha clansmen are arguing with Hiruzen and then they quiet down after Tobirama appears. Hiruzen now full of confidence bites back.

"You neglect that child you refuse to give her any food and water! She lives in a dirty little shack and has to go through garbage for food! Her water source is from the sewers! In my eyes, she is no longer a part of your clan! Oh yes, I know how you treat the child! I investigated why she would start to steal!" Hiruzen hasn't been this angry in a long time. The moment he was done investigating he flew into a rage and destroyed some parts of the forest.

"Calm down Sarutobi..." Tobirama may not like Madara in fact he hates him... But he won't condemn an innocent child for the sins of her ancestor.

"I take it you treat her like so because she is related to him yes? You shouldn't blame an innocent child for the sins of her ancestors... She shouldn't be punished for the sins of someone she has never known simply because his blood flows through her veins... Sarutobi can I trust you to make sure she grows into a fine shinobi?" Tobirama in his twilight years is much more sensible perhaps if it was decades before he would act in a similar manner to the Uchiha Clan. But at his age right now he can see clearly. And treating the child like that is wrong just so wrong.

"Sensei... There is nothing I can teach her... You should have seen her swordsmanship... Her abilities as a Swordswoman already make her an elite Jonin. I can also confirm that she already has three tomoe Sharingan. Clearly, she inherited his talent. I cannot turn her into what she already is. But she is... Broken inside... She has closed herself off from everyone and everything and shows no emotions. I think she needs to attend school to make some friends that will help heal her." Sarutobi hides nothing from his sensei and the latter half of his speech makes him gloomy. The Uchiha who heard Hiruzen's words show great greed. Imagine how much better their clan can be if they had someone will such skills.

"Hokage-sama she is our clansman you cannot simply let her be taken in by-" Tobirama's presence oozes out.

"I am the Hokage! And I can do what I think is best for my village! I won't allow you to mistreat a child! If you won't give her basic care then I will find someone who will and I have! That is all." Tobirama walks away after giving his ultimatum.

'Such greed after knowing what she is capable of... It disgusts me.' Tobirama goes back to the Senju compound to visit his brother who doesn't have much time left.

Akame wakes up feeling much better and can feel a noticeable improvement in her health. Still, she has a long way to go before she can be considered truly healthy.
