Chapter 3: Family business.

"I'm gonna prank this bitch so hard." Grinning in front of a door was Abel with a plate of soy meat along real meat.

This was the room where is brother was residing, well his body's one. Cain, his brother was named by the foundation SCP-073. He was a tall man like him with Olive skin, blue eyes and short hair.

But his most striking features were the cybernetics members replacing his arms and legs. Another thing made clear with time was his immortality. Cain was an immortal that reflected the harm made on him.

It made any kind of study impossible as he just couldn't get hurt. Reflecting it on the one that tried to damage his flesh. He was an essentially quiet but kind individual that most personnel liked despite his robotic almost cold voice.

His photographic memory, found by the foundation after his containment effectively made him a sort of backup database containing everything about the SCP foundation. Now why did Abel mixed soy meat with real meat?

A curse placed on Cain made all organic matters (except meat)or plant in contact with him deplete of all life before crumbling to dust. The process took some minutes/hours in function of the type of material but in the end, it was inevitable.

AND that was why Abel had mixed vegetal meat with the one Cain normally eat. It was petty yes, but a good way to break the ice after millions of years without talking to each others and his past self wanting to murder the cybernetic boy.

So entering the room with a sly smile Abel started talking. "Dear brother, did you miss me?" A completly white room only made of synthetic materials and with only the simplest furnitures one could ask for.

In front of a desk a pen still in his hand was a man with an ancient blue sumerian symbol on his forehead. He was wearing glass and what could be called worker clothes. On his face was the still clear expression of shock that he only let go when the pen he was holding slided off his hand impacting the floor.

"He- Abel. I- what are you- Uh.. Oh my god I wasn't prepared to this."

"Don't worry! Let's just act like we used to before! There, take some meat." Not wanting the meat he prepared to be wasted even if it was a joke, Abel tried to shove a spoonful of it to Cain.

"Wait I think I can feed mysel-" He didn't have the time to finish as Abel made him eat what he had cooked for almost an hour. 'Ah... How many times did I dreamed of this... Just the way it was at the tribe... This is so peace-'

Cut in his daydreaming session by a taste of dust in his mouth, Cain choked on what he was eating for a good fifteen minutes before swallowing everything with the help of water. Looking at his brother with a bit of anger but above all else, a lot of confusion he asked. "Why?"

Shrugging, Abel made a kind smile while looking at Cain. "Hey. Now we're even nah? I still resented you a bit for what happened at the tribe... but now It's all in the past!" His words seemed logical but after some time Cain noticed anomalous things. Why this sort of prank when he litteraly killed him in the past? Abel was the one that ripped him off his past limbs.

"In the past brother." But still, if their family could go back to what it was before, he was able to forgive everything.

Now looking at his brother the memories of their common past flooded in his mind. Cain started tearing up and with a smile he took Abel in his embrace.

He knew it was the time. Now that he had forgave himself and that his brother forgave him the curse was about to get lifted, putting an end to his cycle of suffering. "I love you brother, it seems God forgave us..." At thoses words Cain crumbled to dust, evaporating in the air.

This was the end of more than five billion years of suffering for the First murderer recorded in history.

=========================

"Where is it..." Searching in the remnants of his brother at the floor was Abel, seemingly trying to found something in what was only dust.

After no more than five minutes he finally found what he was searching for. There, on the ground was a shining blue sumerian symbol. Abel made a bet with himself.

The reason why his brother killed him was because of the knowledge he had gained from Nahash, the guardian of the Tree of knowledge that proved to be to much of a burden for his mind.

Now another thing to know was that Cain always diverted the subject when talking about the symbol, proving that it had some kind of connection to his past.

Abel knew that Cain powers had been sealed at some time but where? The response was probably the symbol on his forehead. How did he knew the symbol wouldn't just dissappear along Cain? He didn't know, but the knowledge of probably the whole multiverse couldn't just dissappear in a cloud of dust could it?

And now that's what he was holding in his left hand. Pure, crystallised, knowledge. Now with the weakened capacities of 682 that absorbed everything before gaining a resistance to it and/or assimilating it properties. He could probably augment his power by tenfold.

"Here comes nothing." Putting the 0.1 centimeter thick symbol in his mouth, Abel waited some time and... nothing. "Well I shouldn't think I would be able to absorb something that is probably indestructible at my current level..."

Without thinking to much of this failure, Abel put the symbol into the Pocket dimension he had access to. He first thought it was the Dark Below but after thinking about it, if it was the Scarlet King would already be on earth. After all he was emprisoned in his own realm and cut from existence. The mere thought that the dimension where he resided was actually connected to a being on earth is stupid in this situation.

"Guess it will be for another time then..." Not thinking too much about it, he prepared himself for his next visit, a certain old man in suit should prepare to use his powers....
