Chapter 86: Battle between Friends
Next morning whole team met in the lobby and Cynthia gave smile to Jason for which Jason also replied with same. Steven pulled Jason's hand after his reaction and other boys laughed.
While having breakfast Phoebe came with an Idea, "Hey guys what if we do a battle tournament between us ?" She said, this excited everyone but Bill asked, "Won't this be longer ? And I can be your referee but I won't participate."
"I am also out for this battle." Said Julius.
"Why is it Julius ?" asked Elsa.
"No mam, I want to be a referee as well with Bill and I am not that much interested in Pokemon battles." Said Julius.
"Ok if you say so, now its decided Steven, Wallace, Jason, Alex, Cynthia, Lucian, Elsa and me, we will be participant." Said Phoebe.
"Can I decide some rules so it won't be much time consuming ?" Asked Bill.
"Yes say it." said Phoebe.
"Ok so we can arrange double battle, each will be a knock out one so in first round there will be four teams and then directly final round between two winner teams." Said Bill.
"Then how to decide teams ?" asked Phoebe.
"Leave that to me and Julius, we will create chits with name of four people and other four will take one chit each, they will team up with the person whose name is on chit." Said Bill.
"And Phoebe, Lucian, Cynthia and Elsa will be those whose name will be on chit and Jason, Alex, Wallace and Steven will be one to take chits." Said Julius.
They arranged everything and other eight were waiting for their turn to come after around 5 minutes Bill and Julius came, Julius came forward and said, "We have written names here but for next rule, each trainer will only use one pokemon in each round and winner will be declared if all pokemons of other team are unable to battle." after he finished everyone nodded in agreement.
"So now Alex come forward, being my best friend you will get first opportunity." Said Bill and Alex walked forward, he picked up one chit and Julius took that chit to read out name, "So Alex will team up with Phoebe."
"Next Jason, you come." Said bill and Jason walked forward, he picked up one chit like Alex and Julius announced name, "Wow, Jason you have great luck, Jason is teaming up with Cynthia." After this announcement Cynthia almost jumped but she controlled herself and just smiled, Jason walked towards her and stood beside her.
"All the best my team mate, hope we will win." Said Jason.
"If I am battling with you then I am sure we will win but for me it doesn't matter who wins if we are battling together because that will be more fun." Said Cynthia and blushed a little. Jason didn't get that direct hint and just smiled back.
"For next Steven you come." Said Bill and Steven walked near them and picked up one chit, Julius took it and announced, "Steven is teaming up with his best friend Wallace."
"Now no one can beat us, except.." Said Wallace and looked at Jason who just gave a smile back to his friend.
"So now for final team it will be Lucian and Elsa. Congratulation all and I hope you will give your great performance today..." Bill said, he wanted to continue but Phoebe interrupted and said, "Who will be competing with which team ?"
"We have decided that as well, we gave numbers to each of the person whose name was on chit and as per that 1 to battle Number 3 and 2 to 4, so from that we have here as Number 1 Team is Steven and Wallace who will compete with Number 3 team which is Jason and Cynthia, for next battle it will be Alex and Phoebe Vs Lucian and Elsa." Said Julius.
"Ok so give a round of applause to our first team which is, Steven and Wallace who will be battling against combination of Beauty and Power who are Cynthia and Jason." Said Bill.
"Are you always this dramatic." Asked Phoebe.
"Yes always." Said Alex.
"Alex you too" Said Bill with sad tone and everyone laughed.
Now first two teams too their positions at battlefield behind Pokemon Center.
"As this is Pokemon Center so you are allowed to use your Pokemons which are only upto Mid Elite and not above." Said Bill.
"Why this rule now ?" Asked Steven.
"Because Jason and Alex here can destroy this town with single battle, so this rule is needed." Said Bill.
Steven sent out a Swellow and Wallace sent out his Seadra both pokemon were at Mid Elite, and for other team Jason sent out his Electrabuzz and Cynthia sent out her Roselia, these two were at Mid Elite as well.
"So if both teams are ready, start the battle." Said Bill and Cynthia looked at Jason who nodded to her in agreement.
Swellow started with air cutter on roselia and Seadra with ice beam on Electrabuzz, Electrabuzz created shield around Roselia and then used powerful thunder to block ice beam, roselia also used Magical leaf on Seadra.
"That was an impressive move by Electrabuzz, he blocked Air cutter by creating shield around roselia and protected Roselia and then used thunder to stop Ice beam, that was some good moves." Said Julius who was acting as commentator now.
That Swellow got angry on Electrabuzz and both pokemons planned to target Electrabuzz keeping an eye on Roselia as well, Swellow planned to use Take Down and Seadra used Bubble beam on Electrabuzz, Electrabuzz dodged bubble beam and then used powerful thunder on Swellow who was badly zapped by that attack and fainted on the spot, Seadra who was focusing on attacking Electrabuzz forgot to keep an eye on Roselia and got hit by powerful Magical Leaf from her.
"Here Jason's Electrabuzz has finished one of the opponent and now Seadra is remaining, lets see how that pokemon will battle against two opponents. Jason's Electrabuzz is also powerful what you say MR. Bill ?" Said Julius in dramatic tone.
"Yes Mr. Julius, I think the same, this pokemon is really powerful but lets see how they will defeat that seadra." Said Bill in same tone.
"Will you guys shut up for Lord's sake ?" Shouted Phoebe and they sat quite.
Seadra who was hit by powerful Magical leaf got another heat by thunder punch from Electrabuzz and Energy Ball from Roselia, Seadra also fainted.
"As both the pokemons of Team Number one is defeated so Team number 3 is declared winner and they advance to next round." Announced Bill and Cynthia gave high five to Jason.
