Penelope knew that Ethan was angry because he loved her so much and did not accept that his little sister had to get pregnant because of a mistake. Already so, the man who impregnated her was Edmund Gerwyn, a Duke who was hated by Ethan. But Penelope also didn't want Ethan to die in vain because of his carelessness, who wanted to teach Edmund a lesson. Even though Ethan has good sword skills, his skills are still far below Edmund's.
