"Though this jewel is priceless, it had a reserved price now of 8million." The announcer announced.

The first bidder raised his sign, "ten million."
"Twelve million." Another person said.
"Fifteen million."
"Twenty million." And the price went up and up.
Once the price reached thirty million there were only a few people still holding up. After all, not everyone was willing to spend tens of million on a mere jewel, especially the men with women who didn't matter to them.
Admist the chorus of complaints from a few women around, Mack raised his stick with a proud and determined face and shouted, "50million." Loud enough for everyone around to hear.
The people around looked at the young man and at the sight of him, a lot of people who had their hands up suddenly began to drop it. They lost hope already.
Though they had a little problem now, the Yong family was known as one of the biggest families in the city. You would be doomed if you're planning on going toe to toe with old money.
The women stared jealously and enviously at the beautiful and kind Nari who was seating beside him. Just as always, Nari had her humble face on as she held Mack's hands. She was more than proud he was her man.

"She's just some mean girl who thought she could destroy Nari. By the way Anna and Mack are over, didn't you see his last interview that disappeared from the net as fast as it came?" The woman asked the other who had a confused look.
It seems the news didn't spread as far as they thought it had before it disappeared without a trace. Nari thought. Though her eyes was on the jewel, her ears moved around to hear what people had to say.
"As stated, Anna Sui cheated on Mack, he found out and broke their engagement." The woman said.
"Oh what a shameless woman. One would think she would change after the lesson we thought her two years ago but now she's lost such a handsome man like Mack."
"Yes. You know he's the only person that supported her during that time and now she did that to him."
"She's a whore." The woman concluded.
"It's a good thing he found a beautiful women like Nari. She's such a good person."
"Yes."
Nari smiled at the praises thrown at her. No one even noticed her early relationship with Mack. And no one judged her for it, rather she was getting praises for it. He held Mack's hands tighter and proudly as she showed him off to all the women. She wanted to let them know he was hers and hers alone.
"50 million going once, twice..."
Just when everyone thought the jewel belonged to Nari, a deep sexy voice ranged in the ears of everyone.
