Chapter 161: Much More

Elene excused herself as the next guest entered the room. She tasked her friend Priscillia for dealing with other guests as she went to look for Harold. She did not notice how the guest took a breath of relief when she left.

Eve sighed. Cotlin was not able to convince the guests for the masquerade party. So she had worn a red wig and her make up was done differently. She was wearing a completely different kind of dress which was made by her seamstress she had hired from the streets. But she was not sure if it would be enough to fool Elene. 

Elene had known her since childhood. Even when they had used wigs to resemble each other, or Eve had lost weight when she was getting trained for taking over the March. Elene had always watched her closely. Not to forget that it was Damien who had accompanied her instead of Cotlin.
