"You are finally able to walk again without feeling chest pain." Ardien threw the word like a curse when Cotlin returned from a long run.

His face was covered with sweat and his body was trembling a bit but he ignored it.

"If i did not know any better, i would have thought you lied about your ribs getting broken." He threw a towel toward Cotlin who caught it with his eyes narrowed.

"What are you trying to say?" that you are a fool! It was written all over Ardien's face but he did say it. Cotlin wiped his face and rubbed his head.

"Your grace has sent another letter. Are you not going to reply at all?" the man paused, as if not sure if he should add it, but he did anyway, "and you do not postpone your ascension for forever. There are already rumors that you are too afraid by the continuous assassinations you are facing and soon you would return the insignia to lord Midnight star." Cotlin paused with his brows furrowed.
