The room fell into a deep silence. Everyone looked at each other awkwardly. Who had not heard this truth. Elene's friends, her mother had been too vocal about it.

The marquees had shut himself in the room and did not come out no matter what. Elene was still unconscious. The whole family had fallen into despair yet the elder daughter is getting married and even held a celebratory dinner to flaunt her new status as duchess.

In the morning when her face was painted black, the color suited her perfectly. Her heart and soul was black just like the paint. She had ruined her whole family for her affair with the duke.
