Chapter 1: Chapter 1: WHAT IS GOING ON!?
*June 15th, 2023 9:30 p.m.*
"It can get tragic! Fucking a brother from the back with a brand new Patek!"
"I done had it! When I see a opp lacking I- OH SHIT JALEN WATCH OUT!"
"TURN THE WHEEL!"
'OH SHIT!'
*CRASH*
'Fu-COUGH! Fuck!'

*The next Morning*
'Ughhhh what a weird dream. Wait a minute... why is my bed so hard?'
'Am I on the ground?
Upon waking up the young man known as "Jalen" was shocked, to say the least. Here he was on an open dirt road in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but his clothes and his wallet to keep him company. Without many options, he decided to start walking north.
'I wonder where I am? This seems like something right out of an anime.'
'Grassy terrain, with a single dirt road which is bound to lead me into a town... I see no reason why I shouldn't follow it.'
'All things considered, I'm probably somewhere down south, with all this grass and dirt I'm likely still in Louisiana.'
'Maybe this town will have a clothing store because I could use a new fi-'
Before Jalen could even finish his thought a bright green light began to swirl around him and just like he wanted he was presented wearing a new fit. Now out of his pajamas, Jalen was seen sporting basketball shorts, a black tee, and a new pair of running shoes.
"I don't really understand what just happened, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth."
"LETS GOOOOOOO!" Jalen shouted as he began to run into the unknown hoping to find a village.
*1 Hour Later*
Jalen began to hear a noise and in the distance, he saw a sign that read:
*WELCOME TO STABILOUS*
"Stabilous? I don't remember this city being a part of Louisiana, oh well." He said as he shrugged his shoulders.
As he began to wander through the city Jalen was taken back by the luxurious atmosphere. Fancy cars, Casinos, and 5-star restaurants everything here just screamed MONEY. With no other options, he decided to ask around and try to figure out where exactly he was...
"Ummm... excuse me?" He tried asking a random stranger. He was ignored.
'Okay, maybe she couldn't hear me, let me try again a little louder.'
Just like before this green mysterious energy began to swirl around him, and not only did it catch his attention but everyone around him as well.
"EXCUSE ME!" Jalen yelled in a deep booming voice.
"IF YOU WOULD BE SO KIND AS TO TELL ME WHERE I AM AND HOW I CAN GET HOME I WOULD GREATLY APPERICATE IT!"
Jalen quickly closed his mouth, in utter disbelief at the voice he just heard.
'Th- that wasn't me. What the hell was that?' He thought.
Visually shaken Jalen began to walk closer to the woman to offer an apology, but to his surprise, she seemed to be unbothered by his loud outburst. With a blank expression on her face, she reached into her purse and pulled out a diamond-encrusted phone. At that moment Jalen felt his entire body tense he didn't know how but he felt eyes gazing upon him in the distance.
'How long was I being watched? Who are these people?'
His mind began to race. Should he run? Fight? Consumed in his thoughts Jalen never noticed the lady bring the phone to her ear.
"Take the shot." She said.
"WAIT WAIT TIME OUT!" Jalen screamed. Instinctively he closed his eyes, but to his shock, he never felt a bullet penetrate his skin.
Cautiously he opened his eyes and was just flabbergasted by what he saw. Suspended in the air were not one, not two, but five bullets all fired from separate directions. Before Jalen had time to comprehend what was going on he heard a voice call out to him.
"Are you the one that called for the time out? Cause I have to admit you have some pretty good timing all things considered."
"T-Thanks... I guess? Umm... and who exactly are you?" Jalen questioned
The man in question was a referee. Dressed head to toe in black and white stripes.
"Never mind who I am, you have bigger fish to fry. Since you called for a timeout I can only give ya five minutes. That should be enough to get you out of your predicament" The Ref said.
Before Jalen could even ask the man any questions he was gone. Without much of a choice, he decided to act on the time he was given. Moving out of the way of the bullets Jalen began to run up to the lady, without giving it much thought he grabbed her phone and punched her in the face. He then proceeded to duck off into an alleyway and wait for time to resume. Realizing that he wanted to see the confusion that would take place he climbed onto a roof for a better view.
'Five minutes should be over in 3 2 1'
Just like he thought his five minutes were up and the world around him returned to normal, at least for him. To all onlookers, the young man vanished. The bullets that were fired at him all hit the ground with a loud *BANG*, and the mysterious lady who stood unfazed was now seen flying back into a nearby building. All the commotion sent the people of Stabilous into a panic.
*20 minutes later*
'I didn't think that these people were so weak-minded. A single altercation and they scramble like ants, and that lady... who was she?'
"I need to get some answers right no-" Before he could finish his sentence Jalen stopped. Turning his head in the direction of what sounded like a fanfare.
'Is that a herald's trumpet?' Jalen thought.
In the middle of the city, a gigantic hologram of a man with a crown appeared. He seemed to be in his late 30s and looked furious.
"ATTENTION CITIZENS OF STABILOUS!" His voice echoed throughout the city.
"It is with a heavy heart that I announce that my wife, your beautiful queen has been pronounced dead. The cause of death was instantaneous impact with the wall of my casino." His voice began to tremble but remained firm.
"While we cannot currently locate the individual that caused my wife's demise rest assured he will not escape the punishment that I have planned for him, and until this monster is captured I am activating DOME PROTOCAL. No one is allowed to enter or leave Stabilous until I find him. That is all."
As the King's hologram dissipated it was replaced by a huge sign that read:
*STARTING TODAY STABILOUS HAS ENTERED CURFEW. ALL CITIZENS SEEN OUTDOORS AFTER 11 P.M. SHALL BE BROUGHT IN FOR QUESTIONING AND/OR TERMINATED. BE ADVISED MILITARY WILL PATROL THE STREETS AND ENFORCE ALL LAWS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.*
'Damn, well that's not good.'
Jalen began to feel a low rumble and all around the city, a clear white dome began to form. He could not believe his eyes there in front of him was a huge dome with on way to escape.
'Damn, this really isn't good! I have to find a way out of this place! But I can't go back down into the city or I'll stick out like a sore thumb.'
Once again this same green energy began to swirl and Jalen found himself standing in a full suit. This time however Jalen finally noticed that his outfit changed.
"Di-did I do that?" "What the hell is going on here!?" Jalen nervously asked.
Before he could make any sense of what just happened with his clothing he heard a voice behind him.
"I have eyes on the target, preparing to engage."
"Ultimate Skill Activation: Silent Night."

Also to clear something up, Jalen doen't know what his powers are yet , I do plan on revealing them in either chapter 2 or 3.
