Chapter 21: Outer vs Inner
This year's disciples ranking battle is different
As, after a long time (don't know how long) outer disciples have finally said that they wanted to participate in this year's ranking battle
For years, no outer disciple dared to take part in the ranking battle as they all knew, if they will take part in it, they will only be the laughing stock for those rich kids
As they were not taught by anyone, so how in the world would they ever show any type of improvement in their cultivation?
Barely, like really, barely anyone of them was mere flesh and bone realm.
But those inner disciples were always taught by few elders and teachers and even given spirit stones for their cultivation were as they (outer disciple) were on their own

It's not like no one tried to participate and show that they are not afraid of anything and can show a much better result than those rich kids, but they were beaten and mocked by everyone

They said only one thing "Become strong then only we will take/promote you into inner disciple"
But how in the world can you expect them to be strong when they don't even do anything for them?

This year's ranking battle was no longer between inner disciples but rather outer vs inner disciple
And even sect master is here to see the show

"Today for the first time we will have a change in our ranking battle" A man in brown robe said, he is the announcer of this battle, name Yan Jin, he is also a teacher
On the other side, we have all sect elders and in the middle (little bit high) an old man sitting on a big chair. He is the sect master, Peng Tu
The announcer continued "For first time in my carrier I am seeing all, all outer disciple in this stadium. So we made small changes after seeing how much our outer disciples want to fight.
The battle will take place but with not among inner disciples but, Outer Disciples vs Inner Disciples"
The announcer explained more about the battle that, each side will send their fighter up and then the winner will be sent into the next stage
And the elders will number each and every disciple, thus with those numbers and their performance, the elders will rank each disciple
Also, the number of inner disciples in the sect is over 200 whereas outer disciples number is only around 50
So only 50 against other 50 disciples, as for the remaining ones, either they will fight among themselves or if the outer disciples choose to fight more, they can fight with them
As for the battle rules,
You can use artifacts; there are 4 levels of artifacts, and you can also use spells
But any lethal attacks should not be made or they will be disqualified.

"Let the battle begin now" The announcer announced.
Thus the battle officially begins between inner disciples and outer disciples
"The first battle will be between, Fang Zhi (outer disciple) vs Mao Fang (inner disciple)" The announcer called their name
Fang Zhi is not one of the best outer disciples we talked but he is also not the worst one.
Both of them stepped up into the podium and faced each other.
Mao fang, with a smile on his face, said "Dirty peasant, I hope you are really happy to be beaten by me"
He stayed silent and calm at his mocking words
The announcer didn't waste much time and explained things, then the battle begins
As compared to Mao Fang, Fang Zhi had a cheap rusty sword with him, so many disciples had already made the assumption that Fang Zhi will surely loose.
They all had a smile on their face

Both of them clashed their sword against each other
And the moment their sword clashed, all disciples, including judges and teachers, were shocked
Why?
Because Fang Zhi is at the 3 stages of Flesh and bone realm and Mao Fang is at the 2 stages of Soul Realm
The difference in physical strength and the raw power/skills is clear but that's where they all are shocked
Fang Zhi is at 3rd stage of Flesh and Bone realm and that too with a cheap rusty sword, but still he was giving a hard fight to Mao Fang, who is not only a realm higher but also have much better gear's with him
When the first clash took place, Mao Fang knew that this will be a long battle
Fang Zhi, may be at a flesh and bone realm but his control over Qi is much better than his opponent
Also, Qin Shi Huang taught him various skills on sword moves, which were simple but if used properly especially when they fused their Qi in it, the result was something they never imagined it could be
Fang Zhi fused his Qi in his each and every attack and didn't waste any time to destroy Mao Fang.
As he knew that the amount of Qi he could collect is way, just way lower than Mao Fang have. Thus he used his Qi in a way that there was no waste and the Qi used is less
And this is the reason why they were shocked
As controlling Qi is not something you learn by just yourself, it's harder for even those at the spirit realm let alone a mere flesh and bone realm martial artist
But Fang Zhi changed their whole view about the world
On the other side, Mo Yuanjun stood and watched the show while sitting between other outer disciples. With a smile, he said "So it's true, that hard work can beat anything"

After that, one after other attacks was made but against the agility and calm mind of fang Zhi, Mao Fang lost the battled and crashed out of the podium, meaning he is eliminated
"Amazing" Duan Ning said as she had watched the whole battle
She just couldn't believe that an outer disciple, of the 3rd stage of Flesh and bone realm, defeated the 2nd stage of the Soul realm.
At first, many students/disciples asked to check Fang Zhi, as he may have cheated but after a good inspection for elders, nothing was found
It was a legit win
After this many more battle took place and out 49 battles, 20 times it was outer disciples who won it which is literally shocking as they all were not taught by teachers or elders
Not just that, some of them were even at Soul Realm which was more shocking as to step into soul realm you need the essence of spirit stone, if you can't have it, you can't step up
But the reality is this that there is soul realm ranked disciples among outer dispels
Also, one more thing that made them shocked was just how good their body reflexes and calm their mind is during the battle.
It was as if they are used to it and also their Qi control is just way better than those inner disciples
The only reason why more than half of the outer disciples lost their battle is due to the fact that their opponent had artifacts on them, so they couldn't do much against it but still, it was not that easy to make them surrender
These all things made Duan Ning really shocked, including elders and even Sect master.
But nothing is hidden from the sect master, Peng Tu, as he knew that it was Qin Shi Huang who used to teach every single disciple, every single night.
But still, it was really amazing to see the result of his hard work
Mo Yuanjun used to teach 30 disciples each night, believe it or not, it is true. He spends around 15 hours of his day in teaching them only and other 9 hours in hunting beasts and in other things, so he could help them
There were many times when the disciples asked, why is he going so far for them?

And the disciples that are called are "Song Shi" an outer disciple and fav. Student of Mo Yuanjun against "Mo Chun" an inner disciple, the brother of Mo Ru
Song Shi is at the 4th stage of Soul Realm and will soon step into 5th stage, whereas Mo Chun is at the peak Spirit Realm and soon he may enter into the celestial realm
A big difference, but Song Shi has no fear in her face
It was her first battle and she is the last outer disciple left to battle for today
Mo Chun was ordered to fight Qin Shi Huang, as he was the one who defeated Mo Ru in the free for all battle but he wanted to be the star of the show, so he thought to battle with Song Shi and put some fear in Qin Shi Huang
Mo Yuanjun knew these tactics and told Song Shi "Go all out and give him no chance or you will lose"
Song Shi nodded to his words as if they were the command of gods and with a firm face she stepped into the podium
Both of them are standing against each other
Mo Chun licked his lips and said "I'll surely enjoy you thoroughly"
Song Shi didn't mind his words and from her back, she took the long object which was wrapped in clothes.
She opened it
It was GuZheng (traditional music instrument)
"What the hell is this stupid girl trying to do?"
"Fuck her up"
Many students started laughing at her as she took out a musical instrument in a battlefield
Even elders and teachers were confused about this behavior, but as the saying goes, the show must go on, thus the battle also begins
