During a time when the Tang dynasty flourished, greed overcame reason as they began to look for methods for eternal life. Through countless experiments resulting in the deaths of thousands, the dynasty finally found the answer, or so they hoped.

Tang Sheng was renowned as the greatest imperial advisor the Tang dynasty had ever birthed, and as his loyalty to his country led him to volunteer for the first to receive eternal life. Unfortunately for him, this was his biggest regret.

Over a thousand years later, Tang Sheng, still haunted by the fall of his dynasty and now peacefully spending his years in seclusion, is disturbed by the invasion of foreign races throughout the world. Will he step up?
