Chapter 1: Prologue
July 12, 20XX, 12:46 p.m. Tokyo, Japan
I had chosen to skip school because of the bullies that normally show up at my school. So, I had decided that I wanted to look around the city since I had just moved here three months ago. But I had run into some trouble when I was walking around the shopping district near my apartment.
"Ay kid! What chu doing around here, ya should be in school!" I had just passed a officer and I completely forgot that you could get arrested for skipping class.
"Um, my school has a day off today? And my parents want me to look around the city." I did kind of tell half of the truth, and I was hoping the cops would buy it. But like most of my life, it went sideways, "I never heard dat a school was closed taday, how bout you?" he asked the cop that was standing right next to him.
"There isn't supposed to be a school that is closed today, but that kid looks innocent enough." He replied staring at me, I nodded my head and said, "I also was wondering about the city, I just moved here a few months ago so, as my parents had suggested was looking around."
I felt ill. I didn't like lying to these two cops, they just seem like good people. The officer that called me innocent laughed and said, "Your a good kid, I have a daughter around your age, she skips school with her boyfriend constantly, I would love it if she could learn from you. If you ever meet her, her name's Lia Sato."
When her said his daughters name, I shivered. That was because Lia was a kid that all the boys fall to their knees when they see her, and the worst part was that she was in my class and she sits right next to me, I mean it isn't a bad part because she is beautiful but, because that's one of the reasons why I get bullied.
"Y-you must have one hard life with a daughter like that." I say stuttering for a second, "Anyways I got some more places to visit so bye!" I said to the officers and wave them goodbye and start walking away but the officer that I was talking to stopped me, "Hey kid, what's your name?"
"My name's Owari Takahashi! Have a good day Officer Sato!" I respond then hurry off. "Man that scared the shit out of me!" I muttered to myself. I ended up right in front of a bank after I ran out of the shopping district.
"Whoa, this place looks awesome!" I brushed my black hair out of my brown eyes and look at the giant bank in front of me. There was hundreds of people going in and out of the building. It was the Suzuki bank.
I chose to walk inside, but it took about thirty minutes before I could take even a step inside.
"Man, it looks even cooler inside. Wait is that a gargoyle? This place has gargoyles?! That's awesome!" I was kindda bouncing off of the walls because I had never been to a bank as big as this. I was basically a country bumkin.
The security warned me that if I acted like that again I would be kicked out of the bank, so I had calmed my nerves. And at that time I saw that the person that I wished I wouldn't meet anytime today. I then heard an alarm sounding through the whole bank and a announcement, "Everyone get to a bucker nuke incoming. We repeat, get to a bunker, there is a nuke incoming. This is not a drill."
Everyone started panicking, while I just stared at the speaker and smiled, then laughed, said something Inaudible, right as the nuke contacted land, the bank, the shops, and the whole city, whipped away with one nuke.
Millions dead, but I felt my soul and a few others shift off of the path of afterlife, to a different path. And then it went pure black.
