Chapter 148: Wrong Fire
My whole body tenses up as I look up into his dark eyes. He slowly leans down and I watch with my breath held as his lips draw closer and closer to mine. What the hell was happening? How did it turn into this!? I jerk up and hit his head with mine. He releases me and lifts a hand up to his face as I crab walk backward as fast as humanly possible.
Did it hurt? Hell yeah! But, I was free! I quickly stand and try to catch my breath as he lowers his hand. His lip is busted! I swallow hard but keep a straight face as I say "That wouldn't have happened if you hadn't done that."
He touches his bleeding lip and smirks as he slowly stands up and says "I was just doing what you did." I lift my finger and say "Correction, I never tried to kiss you and YOU asked to see my fire. I never asked to see yours."
His smirk grows as he nods his head once and says "Okay, I'll let that one slide. I will gather the women and bring them to you in a few day's time." I finally feel myself relaxing as I nod my head and say "That works for me."
As soon as he's out of sight, I collapse. I dig my fingers into the plush grass as I take several deep breaths. I NEVER want to feel his "fire". His fire is the kind that consumes you entirely and leaves you burnt and scarred for the rest of your life.
I shudder at the thought but when I see tiny black fur, I glance up to see Mango waving at me with a strained smile. I lift my shaky hand up and point at him in anger. I struggle to find the right words "You... You.... How could you!?"
Mango keeps the strained smile on his face and says "I was busy protecting our new base! Besides, if things got too bad I knew you could just go inside the rune!" I quickly reach out to grab him but he quickly runs away.
I quickly crawl after him as I snap "I couldn't go into the rune without the risk of bringing him in there with me! That's beside the point! You should have had my back, you little shit!" He takes off running, leaving me in the yard looking like a crazed person.
I sigh and push myself up. I wipe my hands and knees off before walking in and heading straight for the bath. When I get my hands on that little turd...

XIN
Xin paces back and forth, unsure of what to do after witnessing his Master being... being raped!! But wait... his Master seemed to want it so it's not considered that, right? Does this mean that this woman will be his second Master?
When he thinks of her nearly naked body, his whole face turns red. He waves his hands around his head as if trying to physically push the images out of his head but when he hears "What are you doing?" His soul nearly leaves his body.
He quickly turns around and bows and says "I apologize, Master. I misunderstood." Jinhai ignores him and walks past him without another word. Xin quickly turns and follows him, uncertain about his Master and his mood.
Jinhai suddenly comes to a stop, nearly causing Xin to run into him. As Jinhai stands there, lost in thought, Xin tries to think of what his problem is. If he thinks back, he did hear the woman say she can make it so that Master can touch as many women as he wants...
Maybe that's his problem? Xin steps closer and says "You don't have to worry about finding the women Master. I will go out and find the most beautiful, fairest ladies of the land and bring them back to you."
Jinhai slowly turns and looks at Xin with cold eyes as he says "Who told you to be so nosy? I don't want any women. I already found the one I want." He then turns away and starts walking away. Xin opens his mouth in shock but quickly snaps it closed.
He runs to quickly catch up to his Master but Jinhai's next words nearly have him tripping over his own feet. "I want you to stay here and keep an eye on her. Keep her safe and don't allow odd people to approach her."
As soon as the words leave his lips, he disappears midstep. Xin looks up at the blue sky above him and begins to curse the heavens. How was he supposed to watch and protect that scary woman!? What if she attacks him!? And what does he mean odd!??
He brings his arms up and crosses them over his chest like some kind of maiden. Why is it always him!? The others always get away with the easy stuff! He slowly lowers his arms and deeply sighs. This was his fate... He won't let Master down.
He starts to walk back over to the yard but when he sees the very spot they were just in, he silently covers his manhood and finds a quiet place to hide. He'll watch her and protect her, just like Master said but he'll do it from the shadows!
He wasn't hiding... he just didn't want any enemies to know he was there... Including that woman.
