Chapter 3: BETWEEN TWO OPTIONS

Jonathan raised his face with complicated eyes. Really both of them are not the women he wants.

"Jonathan! What's your answer?" asked Anne, looking up at her son's face.

"Sorry Momy ... I don't want both. I can't rely on both of them to care for and look after me." Jonathan replied in a flat tone without looking at Nadia.

Anne sighed deeply, how can Jonathan be so stubborn even though he really needs a nurse.

"But Jonathan, you have to choose between the two. You need a nurse Jonathan. Momy is confused about how many nurses you rejected? Now only Amanda and Nadia are left who still want to take care of you." said Anne, trying to patiently face Jonathan's stubbornness.

"I'm fine Momy, there is Carlos who can still take care of me." Jonathan replied without giving a long reason and then turned his wheelchair away from where Anne and Nadia were standing.

Again, Anne sighed deeply, Jonathan's heart was very difficult to break.

Nadia's heart becomes worried that if Jonathan does not expect her, her aim of revenge will be in vain.

"Okay, if you're still stubborn Jonathan. Momy doesn't know if you have another fever." said Anne, then asked Nadia to put the flowers on the table beside Jonathan's bed.

Without arguing, Nadia put the flowers she had arranged on the table.

Jonathan glanced at Nadia, who was still arranging the tuberose flower by tucking one by one between the other flowers.

"Is it done Nadia?" asked Anne to Nadia, who suddenly had an idea when she saw Jonathan couldn't help looking at Nadia's movements while arranging flowers.

"Yes, Madame." Nadia replied, lowering her head and then back to stand behind Anne.

"Come on, Anne, come with me." said Anne with her new idea.

"But Madame ... what about my work? Does Mr Jonathan really not want a nurse to take care of him?" asked Nadia in a voice softened a little so that Jonathan heard it and would accept it.

"Don't think that anymore Nadia, you don't know how stubborn Jonathan is. Now just come with me." said Anne, glancing at

Jonathan who was still unmoved reading the book she was reading.

Nadia cried out loud in her heart, cursing Jonathan who remained arrogant with his arrogance.

"Nadia." called Anne seeing Nadia still standing in her place.

Realizing her preoccupation, Nadia immediately moved from her place to follow Anne who had walked out of Jonathan's room.

Without speaking Nadia followed behind Anne who walked in front of him.

"Where are our mistress?" Nadia asked, getting nervous and getting ready to set her heart because her goal had failed to get revenge.

Anne glanced at Nadia then continued her steps into the garden next to the house.

Nadia rubbed her neck, still clearly remembering what Carlos said, Jonathan's personal servant, that the garden beside the house is Jonathan's second home.

"Nadia? Do you still intend to work to take care of my son Jonathan?" asked Anne after being in the garden beside the house.

Nadia nodded her head resolutely.

"Right now I still can't help you to be Jonathan's nurse. If you still intend to work, you can work here as a gardener. You are only in charge of caring for and looking after all the gardens in this house. And every day you have to replace the flowers. the one in Jonathan's room. I know ... this job doesn't suit your profession as a nurse and I can't force you to take it. " said Anne at length, feeling sad that she couldn't help Nadia to get the job Nadia wanted.

Nadia's hands were tightly clenched, how could she sacrifice her profession as a nurse with a large enough salary to become a gardener whose salary would not be enough to meet her daily needs. But what about the aim of his revenge? if he did not enter into the circle of the Daren family, the goal of his revenge would not be achieved. It's like eating Simalakama fruit.

"You don't need to answer now Nadia. You just think about it, if you are willing ... you can come here anytime and tell Carlos that you accept this job." said Anne looking up at Nadia's face hopefully.

"Very well Madame, give me time to think about it." said Nadia with mixed feelings not knowing what to decide. If only, Anne said that a gardener's salary was as big as a nurse, maybe without thinking she would accept it. But what about her profession as a nurse that she had sacrificed? It was only a week ago that Nadia was discharged from the hospital to be able to work for the Darens as Jonathan's personal nurse and now it's a waste. His hopes and goals were instantly dashed, so easily Jonathan broke his goals with rejection and stubbornness.

"You don't have to think now Nadia, there's still time for you to think things over." said Anne with a smile.

"Fine madam ... then excuse me going home." said Nadia with an increasingly upset feeling out of Daren's big house.

While waiting for the city bus to arrive, Nadia calls her friend Gladys.

"Hello Glad, I want to talk to you now. I'll wait at the usual cafe." said Nadia as she got into the city bus that had arrived.

On the way, Nadia just sat silently looking at the streets with a blank gaze. Nadia's mind and heart cannot be separated from the figure of Jonathan who has made her feel emotional.

"What is that boy's heart made of? Why is it so stubborn! Does he think he can do anything on his own? Being unable to stand alone!" Nadia said to herself with one hand squeezing the hem of her clothes and very strong.

Arriving in front of her regular cafe, Nadia immediately got off the city bus in which she was riding.

Nadia's eyes search for her friend Gladys.

"Nadia!" called Gladys who was already sitting at the corner of a table that was not too crowded.

"Did you wait long?" Nadia asked after sitting on the chair opposite Gladys.

"No ... I just came too. How about the results of your interview?" asked Gladys seriously.

"Failed before the interview." replied Nadia then told all what happened.

"Right what I said, right? Jonathan is now a cold man and very arrogant. Totally heartless and stubborn." said Gladys after hearing all of Nadia's stories.

"Because she is too stubborn, even Mrs. Anne, as her mother, is not listened to at all. Though Mrs. Anne worries about her high fever every time." said Nadia with an annoyed heart.

"Now what are your steps? Will you forget your revenge?" asked Gladys with a serious look.

"At the moment, I don't know what to do. I can't just forget about my revenge Glad. Mrs. Anne also offered me a job as a gardener at her house but I haven't answered her yet." Nadia replied with a mixture of annoyance, disappointment and sadness.

"And what is your answer now?" asked Gladys, looking up at Nadia's face.

Question:

Will Nadia accept a job as a gardener with a meager salary? or will Nadia find another way to get revenge ??
