Chapter 11: Chapter 11

The ride was quiet for some time with no one talking to each other, Arthur's thoughts were on a train of thoughts, he was still thinking about Stacey's betrayal. A part of him couldn't believe she would do something like that, she would never sacrifice her dignity for anything.

'The video must have been fake, I think the person who sent me the video, faked it…' Arthur' thought to himself. 'I wish it was fake, she didn't deny it, so the video is definitely real….fuck! what am I doing thinking about that heartbreaking woman, I need to just forget her.' Arthur thought to himself, looking out of the window. He couldn't deny that he still loved Stacey.

Miss Dawn had her eyes on him the whole ride. He looked miserable, she wondered if it's because of his wife?

With a sigh, Dawn put her hand on Arthur's arm. "May I ask you something?" Miss Dawn's question snapped Arthur out of his thoughts.

Flashing a slight smile at her, Arthur shook his head in approval," Sure I don't mind."

Retracting her arm, Miss Dawn got back to her current sitting posture. "Why are your clothes bloody and dirty, did someone cause you any trouble, Master Stark?" Dawn asked,

her blue eyes fixated on Arthur's dirty clothes. She knew what happened but she'd like it if her master

gave an order to destroy the Roths, after all the Roths' are nothing to the Starks.

A frown settled on Arthur's face after he heard that, If he knew that was what she was going to ask then he wouldn't have let her ask him. Right now he wants to forget his wife, and if someone keeps bringing her up it's going to be even harder to forget her.

"Give the older and I'll make the Roths go bankrupt," Dawn requested, as the limousine and the Rolls-Royces came to a stop at the Stark Villa.

"Not yet, I want to do it slowly." Arthur answered nonchalantly, stepping out of the car. , "No one will touch the Roths' or the Duhamels for now," Arthur ordered, staring at Dawn.

"Yes, master." Dawn nodded, as she followed behind Arthur.

The entire villa was decorated with illuminant lights, and there were banners that wrote; 'welcome young master Arthur.' just what Arthur expected, and he felt a sense of being welcomed back home.

After walking for some time Arthur turned and looked at Dawn with a curious gaze. "Not many people are in the living room, right? My clothes are bloody and it'll be a shame if the richest person in Angel city shows up wearing " Before he could

finish his sentence, dawn interrupted; "Don't worry these decorations are for tomorrow's party, the only people inside the house now are Jared, your

grandfather, and the house workers." Dawn said confidently looking around at the beautiful decorations.

"Nice." Arthur turned and proceeded to the house.

Despite growing up in the Villa, that didn't stop

Arthur from getting fascinated by the luxuriousness of the Stark villa, no way the Roths' Villa could compare with the Stark's. After all, the Starks are the richest family in Angeles City.

As soon as Arthur stepped inside the opulence living room, he was overwhelmed by emotions, as he

realized how much he missed home. At the same moment he also realized how much he missed his

parents, who were no more, he felt guilty for not being at their funeral.

To get over his parents' death, Arthur ran away from home, he was not even present on the day of their

funeral.

"There you're!" Christian said, walking towards Arthur with a straight face.

"Grandfather, I see you're still alive?" Arthur asked sarcastically, glaring at his grandfather.

"Unfortunately I am, grandson." Christian said in an apologetic voice, walking towards Arthur, he looked at Arthur's bloody clothes and a frown settled on his face.

"Well, that is unfortunate alright!" Arthur replied, slightly gritting his teeth, feeling his anger slightly boiling. After his parents died Arthur blamed his grandfather Christian for their deaths, since the

people who murdered his parents, were Christian's enemies.

Christian nodded his head, gesturing for dawn to leave them alone.

"I regret what happened to my son and daughter in-law, and I take full responsibility, but you can't blame me forever." Christian said with sadness in his voice. He still felt guilty for it.

"You can blame me, but don't blame yourself son." Christian said tears welling down his cheek as Arthur walked past him.

Seeing his grandfather who is a strong man shedding tears because of guilt, Arthur felt emotional too. "Whatever happened, already happened grandfather, I forgive you, for the sake of my parents!" Arthur said In a soft voice, without sparing Christian a look, going up the stairs.

Slightly smiling Christian turned and looked at Arthur. "Thanks grandson!"

"So now what are you going to do about the humiliation you faced at the Roth Villa?" Christian asked, walking towards Arthur.

Arthur turned and looked at his grandfather with a puzzled look, "You wouldn't happen to have been

spying on me this whole time would you?" Arthur asked, looking his grandfather in the eyes expecting an honest answer. His grandfather gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder as he walked past him. "Let's just say I was concerned after you ran away

five years ago, so I had some people check up on you to see how you were doing." Christian said.

At the same moment Dawn came up the stairs, carrying documents.

"Master Stark, here are the documents you requested," she handed the documents to Christian. Christian briefly went through the documents before handing them to Arthur so he could sign them. "You're now the new head of the Stark consortium, you need to sign these documents." Christian turned his head to Dawn. "And this is your secretary, Dawn Wendy….but you have already met."

With a nod Arthur took the documents from his grandfather's hand. "Okay, I'll sign them after taking a bath," Arthur said walking away with the documents, he would've just signed the documents then and there but he decided to read them thoroughly, before signing. He wouldn't want to sign another annoying contract, just like he did when Stacey tricked him into signing a contract.

He knew his grandfather would never do something like that to him, why would he? Even so, it's better safe than sorry.

After Arthur left, Christian sighed in relief as he scratched the back of his head, and he said. "Phew…Finally I can relax, now that someone can handle the consortium."

Truth be told, Christian was worried that Arthur wouldn't want to run the consortium.

Christian turned to dawn who was standing beside him. "I hope I can trust you to guide and protect my grandson." Christian said in a serious tone.

With a smile Dawn replied, "Of course master Stark." Dawn replied, ``She looked at Christian with a bewildered look as she asked him, "I've noticed Young master Stark made up an excuse to not sign the documents….do you think he'll change his mind?"

"The first rule I taught him when signing everything, was to read thoroughly and understand before signing." Christian said as he walked away.

When Arthur got into his bedroom he dropped the document on the bed and went to take a much- needed hot bath. After he was done he lay down on his comfortable king-size bed, he couldn't remember the last time he felt this comfortable sleeping. On the Roth Villa he used to sleep on the not so comfortable floor, until Stacey brought in a not-so-comfortable couch.

That night Arthur slept like a baby.

When he woke up early in the morning, he went through the documents thoroughly and signed them. After he finished signing them, a smile crept up on his face , knowing now no one will ever look down on him again, he is the richest person in Angeles City and the whole country. Now it's time to teach those who díd him wrong cold lessons and he won't spare no one, including Stacey.

Only if Arthur knew that she was trying to save him, and that video was fake.
