Gloria hurriedly closed the door and crouched down, squealing as she covered her eye in embarrassment. She had never seen any other man beside her husband before, and honestly, Travis was the type of man she preferred over her husband. He came back downstairs fully clothed. Travis walked into the kitchen and greeted Gloria with a kind smile.
"Hey, Gloria," he said calmly as he opened his arms. She smiled and hugged Travis.
"How did you sleep last night?" she asked. Travis shrugged nonchalantly.
"I slept alright, honestly. How about you?"
"Um, it was a bit bumpy, but let's not talk about it," she said.
"No, you can tell me. I'm all ears," Travis said with a concerned expression. This was the least he felt; he just wanted to know what happened.
"Okay, well, yesterday Clark came back late and he was extremely drunk. He had gone to a meeting after-party at work and he had a lot to drink. He got angry when I pushed him away and ran downstairs to the living room and slept there.
