Chapter 5: Bastard Ancestor!

After Aya agreed she felt something pinching on her consciousness before a a lot of information was being transferred.
As she was busy reading the informations that she received, she also saw a voice message attached that automatically played after she finished reading the informations.
After the message end it disappeared as if it was never before.
It took Aya a couple of minutes to recover from shock when found out that the Reward Option was a trick by one of her ancestors to probe the the character of the inheritor and if he or she is fated for the inheritance.
If she had chosen the first option, at most she would get those promised items and skills, but, the rewards for the second option as well as the chance to inherit anything more will be considered as null, and, she would die without knowing why.
'That ancestor is evil! I can only inherit something if my mortal body had no chance of living. That means I have to die first! Then, my qualifications and all the requirements for his inheritance will be marked as Accomplished giving me options in a disguise as a 'reward' to see if I am fated for his inheritance.'
'And if I'm not then, GOOD RIDDANCE?!'
Yes. At the end of the voice message from that ancestor he said, "Descendant your lucks good! You're the first and of course, last to pass my inheritance! Haha!"
"When I was alive I was call the Devil Emperor in the Immortal Realm. I wasn't planning to share my inheritance in the first place, but I lost a bet with Old Snake so this inheritance came into existence."
"Since I was still unwilling to share my inheritance I've thought of this 2 Reward Options for every stage. If you choose right then, a part of the inheritance will be given but if you choose wrong then, your soul would be erase so, you'd be dead in every sense of the word."
"No mortal + No Soul? = GOOD RIDDANCE!"
"But I'm not that evil. I'm giving you a chance! Dear descendant of mine, do remember… Unless you can have your original mortal body back you can't escape this fate! So think of a to do it."
"Oh… And there's a time limit so, don't forget to cultivate or you will die!"
"The first time limit — Okay, I'll be generous. One year! Within a year, open and strengthen your mind space to an average of Mortal Rank 3 strength!"
"Only with strength can you concur fate!"
"If you survive 'till then, you'd get another chance to taste my Reward Options! Haha! Choose wisely."

Aya was beyond mad. She's livid!

jinxin This is to makeup for yesterday’s one chapter update. Sorry, the storyline might have confused some readers.
But this is part of the set up, and background story.
So basically, it is set on Earth with modern tech and society but there are other powerful beings co-existing without the majority the human’s knowledge,and, they cultivate and have a variety of practices and path to power which will be revealed as the story progresses.
