Chapter 9: Nuisance or...

After Kakashi assumed his defeat, Sasuke heard those messages… he had thought that he could only succeed in one of them, but that was a convenient thing, so he didn't complain.
"Come out, Sakura. The exercise is over; you guys passed the test," Kakashi said. "While you still have a long way ahead of you, some more than others, I am satisfied with your level. Now I will teach you something else."
Kakashi began his exposition by talking about teamwork and sacrifice that Shinobi have to make sometimes; he also mentioned the heroes of the third ninja war. Sasuke already knew about that, so he just checked how he could use his training orbs. As it turned out, he could use them to level up his parameters directly and without training… receiving them after defeating enemies would make sense since combat experience is way more efficient than just regular training.
In any case, Sasuke made his Genjutsu reach level three, and he wondered if he could use any with his Sharingan. After recalling some other memories, he understood a few things. By establishing eye contact with a target, the Sharingan user traps them within a genjutsu which can be exploited for one of the various purposes, such as: causing instantaneous but temporary loss of consciousness or paralysis in the target, forceful extraction of information, relaying memories, erasing memories, removing genjutsu placed on the target by others, and controlling a target's actions.
Members of the Uchiha clan are particularly famous for using their Sharingan to control the Nine-Tails, so much so that Konoha quickly came to suspect Uchiha's involvement in the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack. In the original storyline, Sasuke Uchiha is noted to be able to use the technique through his Rinnegan to trap all the tailed beasts in a genjutsu with a mere glance.
"I shouldn't be able to do anything else until I reach certain levels aside from Paralysis… but it should be useful enough against some opponents," Sasuke thought. "In any case, I should have read how genjutsu works… but I can't seem to recall those memories to learn them by myself."
"That is all; from today onwards, we are team seven… we will work together for the sake of the village," Kakashi said. "You guys better don't think that you are full-fledged Shinobi. You still have a lot to learn, mainly how to control your emotions. Anyway, tomorrow we will meet in front of the Hokage office in order to receive our first mission at eight in the morning. Don't be late."
Kakashi showed a hand seal, and then he disappeared in a smoke curtain again… he sure liked to do that.
"Phew… this was intense, but we succeeded thanks to your warnings, Sasuke," Sakura said while smiling.
"Humph, we would have managed without that," Naruto snorted.
"Hey, let's train a little together," Sasuke said. "We are a team now; it will be better if we help each other get stronger."
Some harsh battles were ahead, so they didn't have time to waste. Sasuke knew that Naruto trained by himself, but he was too stupid to do things efficiently. Sakura probably won't have any training done if they train alone and together… She was that lovesick.
"I am not interested in working with you," Naruto said. "Besides, what is the point of someone who wasn't even able to do anything by himself earlier?"
"I actually stopped Kakashi for a while, and my plan worked; what did you do aside from getting your ass kicked?" Sasuke asked.
Naruto grunted in annoyance since he didn't have anything to say in response. In any case, he left the area without saying anything. He was a kid at a troublesome age, and he also had a natural tendency to do things better than Sasuke all the time…
"What a troublesome child…" Sakura said and then sighed. "Shall we train together and alone, Sasuke?"
"... You'd better be serious about this because you did even less than Naruto in the exercise," Sasuke said. "You cooperated with me, but you need to be more assertive in the future."
"... Okay," Sakura said with her head down since she knew that it was true.
In the end, they could only train Taijutsu together… Sasuke had to use a bit of his strength to make Sakura fight for real. Still, at least he confirmed that by sparring with someone, the effectiveness of the training was duplicated.
"I guess this isn't half bad… The real problem is that Sakura is even weaker than me," Sasuke thought after training for three hours. "We can't do that now, but using some tools to increase brute Strength will be necessary; again, she can't wait until Tsunade shows up."
"Our first missions shouldn't be that hard or time-consuming, so we can use some free time to train together in the afternoon," Sasuke declared. "Naruto will try to join us once he sees some results."
"I wonder if he will… he is becoming even more difficult as of late," Sakura said while frowning and trying to recover her breath on the ground.
"Well, if he is going to become a problem…" Sasuke thought. "Well, it doesn't matter… see you tomorrow."
If he is going to become a problem, Sasuke will just have to solve all the situations by himself and see how that will affect the world around him….
