Chapter 5: Chapter 5 ( edited with system)

I woke up early in the morning and went for a refreshing run. After returning, I took a quick shower and got ready for school. As I descended the stairs, I spotted Bella sitting at the table, enjoying a bowl of cereal.

"Hey, did Dad already leave?" I asked.

Bella nodded. "Yeah, he just left. He wished us both a good day at school and specifically told you not to get into any fights on your first day."

I grinned mischievously at her remark. "I don't know what he's talking about. I'm an angel, but no promises... Well, as long as those annoying bugs don't bother us, they'll be fine."

Bella shook her head, accustomed to my playful nature.

"I'll go ahead and meet you in the school parking lot. Don't be late," she said, getting up from the table.

I nodded and replied, "I'll see you there. Have a great day, Bella."

With that, we parted ways, ready to tackle the day ahead.

Twenty minutes later, I arrived at the school parking lot and removed my helmet. As I stepped out, I noticed people staring at me, whispering about my unusual eyes and appearance. I waited for a few more minutes until Bella arrived.

Bella parked her truck with a loud, belching noise, drawing even more attention. All eyes shifted from me to her as she clumsily stepped into a puddle, soaking her sneakers. She approached me, clearly embarrassed by the spectacle we were unintentionally creating.

"It looks like we're the stars of the show this morning," I remarked, giving a stern look that scared off a few onlookers. Together, we walked into our new school, aware of the curious gazes following us.

Bella's POV:

Tony: "I'll be back, I need to use the restroom."

Bella nodded, waiting by the lockers with her iPod, trying to drown out the attention with music. Some kids openly stared at her, while a few brave ones greeted her with a friendly "Hi." The whole situation felt like her personal hell, and she wondered where her brother had disappeared to.

Just then, a guy approached her, seemingly wanting to strike up a conversation.

I gave Eric a cold, piercing stare as he attempted to flirt with my sister. His words and intentions were clear, and I didn't appreciate his forwardness.

"Isabella prefers to keep to herself, so I suggest you find someone else to bother," I said, my voice laced with a warning tone.

Eric's confident demeanor faltered as his eyes shifted behind me. I turned to see Tony finally approaching us.

"Hey, Tony, what took you so long?" I asked, diverting the attention away from Eric.

I could sense Tony's protective energy as he gave Eric a menacing glare. It was clear that he didn't appreciate anyone trying to make advances towards me. I felt a sense of relief knowing that my brother had my back in situations like these.

Bella POv ends.

"Yeah, I got a bit lost trying to find the restrooms, but I managed to find the office and get our class schedules. Who's this?"

Bella: "His name is Eric. He was boasting about knowing everything that goes on at school."

"I see. By the way, Eric, was it? Neither she nor we will be featured in any newspaper, got it?" Tony placed his hand on Eric's shoulder, applying a slight pressure.

Eric winced in pain, his eyes widening as he looked into Tony's intense purple eyes, sensing an otherworldly presence.

Eric: "Yes, sir!"

"Good. Now, can you be a gentleman and help my sister find her first class?"

Eric: "Yes, it looks like she's in Mr. Varner's class."

"Alright, sis, go to class and make some friends, but be cautious around the guys. I'll find my own class. See you at lunch."

Bella nodded and followed Eric, leaving myself to navigate his own way to his first class.

I walked into Mr. Molina's biology class, holding a slip of paper to give to him. As I entered, I noticed Jasper, who seemed to be staring at me for some reason.

Mr. Molina greeted me, "Welcome to class, Mr. Swan. You can sit back and listen while we do this experiment. You can join in whenever you're ready. Also, you can sit by Mr. Hale over there."

Jasper raised his hand, and I made my way towards him.

"How's it going? I'm Tony Swan," I introduced myself as I took a seat next to him.

Jasper smiled and replied, "I'm doing good. I'm Jasper Hale. Glad to have you here. Your eyes are pretty cool." He extended his hand for a handshake.

" Thank you." As I shook his hand. Then went and listened to the class.

Jasper's POV:

As Tony introduced himself, I couldn't help but feel a mix of curiosity and caution. His purple eyes seemed to hold a depth that I couldn't quite comprehend, and my instincts were telling me that he was not someone to be taken lightly. However, knowing that he would be Alice's mate and potentially a powerful ally in the future, I felt a sense of relief.

After shaking Tony's hand, I noticed his strength, which was surprising for a human. I couldn't help but wonder what other hidden abilities he possessed.

As the class continued, I decided to text Edythe and Alice to let them know about Tony's presence and the strange feeling I had when I saw him. Pulling out my phone, I quickly composed a message to them, sharing my observations and instincts.

I pressed send, hoping that they would receive the message and that we could discuss it further later.
