Chapter 176: Carl's Ability and Infiltrating the Inn

Carl's [ Puppeteer ] ability was quite a unique, as well as a troublesome one. It was not only troublesome for the opponent, as Carl could make all his puppets look like him and confuse the opponent, but they were troublesome for the user as well.

After all, what good were the puppets if one had to constantly supply them with mana in order to function and walk around with him. Had Carl not been lucky enough to be born into such a powerful family that was able to take notice of his ability and allow him to grow properly, his strength would be much lower than it was right now.

The puppets were not really living creatures, they would only spring to life once Carl injected them with his mana, and he had to constantly do so in order for them to function. If the puppets were simply standing or walking around, then the mana expenditure was low, but during battle, it was a different story.
