*Jacob Campbell's POV*
As my consciousness returns, I regain the feeling of my body again. I struggle to open my eyelids as they are unnaturally heavy. Upon opening them, a bright light shines unto me, momentarily blinding me. As my eyes adjust to the light, I try to lift my body up, only to realize that it is as heavy as lead. Expecting pain from my back as the last time I was awake, I fell down a cliff and was lying on gravel, I was surprised as I only felt softness underneath me. Confused, I waited until I could see properly.
After my eyes adjusted, I look around me. The sight of a neatly arranged room around me and a bed underneath me startled me. After collecting my thoughts, I start to speculate about my whereabouts.
'Where am I? Why am I not dead? Did Fang Xing bring me to the Divine Realm? That's highly unlikely though, I did tell him to fuck off. Does that mean I am at the under life? '
I pinch my waist to see if my body is real.
"Ah!"
'I can still touch myself so that probably means I am alive. I can't be sure though. Wait, do I still have the orb?'
I try to lift my hands up, but I can't muster up enough strength. So I just rest, drifting off into my thoughts. Soon, I start to think about the massacre of my family and I tear up. Feeling no danger to my life, I bawl my eyes out, in immense grief.
About 30 minutes later, I stop crying and I think about the orb again. This time, I can barely lift my hands up, slowly searching around my entire body. Sweat oozed out of my pores as searching my body for the orb was extenuating in my condition. I then soundly hear a noise.
*Host Has Regained Consciousness, Now Beginning Tutorial*
Just as I was about to yell who's there, I black out. Then, I see a white light flash, and I enter a vast white space. In the middle, I see a red orb floating. Suddenly, a red pulse is sent out from it, and it hits my body. A comfortable feeling surges through my body and I hear,
*Welcome New Host, What Shall I Call You?*
The voice was mechanical, cold, unfeeling, and more so, induced fear inside of me. The fear was affecting my soul itself, I had no control of my body, and I felt like an insignificant ant compared to the red orb. Inside of my body were two conflicting feelings, the comfort caused by the orb and the fear caused by it.
As if sensing my thoughts, I started to regain the control over my body. This only caused me to feel more insecure. After I could move again, the orb asked me the same question. I hesitated at first, but after some deliberating, I answered back,
"My name is Jacob Campbell."
*Accepted. Now Recognizing Host As Jacob Campbell!*
*Jacob Campbell, Welcome To The Tutorial On Using The Equivalent Exchange System!*
I question the orb, "Equivalent exchange system?"
It replies, *As the host recognized by the Philosophers Stone, Jacob Campbell is able to use its abilities, the Equivalent Exchange System.*
"What does it do?"
*It allows you to exchange items, powers, materials and anything you own for something that is equivalent in value.*
"What does that mean?"
*I will provide an example to allow the host to understand better. In the system, if you exchange one gold bar, the system can give you a 100 gold coins back, 1000 silver coins, etc. Another example is: if the user chooses to give up his cultivation, the user can receive a power from me, one such power is divine strength. I can also increase your eyesight or insight. It all depends on what the host decides to trade in.*
I suck in a big breath. The possibilities this orb offers me is endless. With it, I can take revenge for my family. I was overcome with joy, but I remembered the most important task I had, and that was to find out where I was. So, I decided to ask the orb, "Do you know where I am?"
*Since this is Jacob Campbell's first time using the system, I will give you a present. The host is currently residing in the divine realm. Right before you died, I acknowledged your wish and activated the exchange system. In exchange for a new life, the host has lost 90% of his lifeforce, and is afflicted with the following curses: Host will be unable to cultivate for 10% of his remain life as well as not being able to recover origin energy for one year. The host will also have slowed origin energy recovery speed after the year. Origin energy will recover at normal speeds the moment the host is able to cultivate again. The hosts' current name in this life is Mike Chang, a child of both the eastern and the western ethnicities. For more detailed information, provide an item to exchange.*
It took me a while to process this information, but the moment I did, I had mixed feelings. I was happy that I was alive, but I was sad because of my status. Even one of these curses can cripple a normal person, but I had many. These curses will not allow me to erect my revenge any time soon. I have to bottle up my emotions for a while longer.

I blacked out again, and when I came to, I saw the ceiling of the room I was in before. Before I could arrange my thoughts, I sharp searing pain cruised through my brain.
