We went to the market and we covered ourselves with hoods so we won't be noticed easily.
"Here" I said as I handed the coin to the seller, I looked at Nathan, I could also buy one for him.
"Why did you buy two?" he asked me as we walked away.
"One for me and the other for you" I said as I handed him the lantern.
"I didn't ask you to buy it, I don't wish, it never comes true" He said.
"You shouldn't pass that judgement on it, wishes come true, maybe you are thinking that it is immediately, that's not right, it takes time, not exactly the time you wished for it" I said.
"And in most cases, it comes true immediately" I said and heard him scoff.
"So when are we going to do this?" he asked as he pointed to the lantern.
"In the night" I answered, the sky would be full with lanterns and it was such a beautiful sight to see.
"Are we going to wait till the night?, I have somewhere to be" he said, I knew what he was talking about, he would rather go to brothel and have fun than doing this with me.
"Is it important?" I asked him, he turned his head to me and nodded.
I narrowed my eyes as I looked at him "More important than me" I asked and he creased his forehead, what was the woman talking about?, why does she behave like they were so close?.
"Yes" he said and my eyes clouded with tears, having fun with women was more important than me. I removed his necklace from my neck and I threw it at him.
"I don't want it anymore, I am nothing to you right?, if you want to leave, you are free" I said as I turned my back on him and walked away.
Nathan watched his necklace on the ground, he felt a sting in his heart when she threw it at him. She had spoilt his mood.
He picked his necklace from the ground. He also turned his back as he walked away.
He went to the brothel and he wasn't feeling excited as he was everytime he was here, the women did nothing to please him and he was so furious if they touched him.

I watched the sky till it was nightfall, I wished he was beside me, it would be much better but I knew he wasn't coming. He said what he wanted to, having fun with women was more important than I.
I picked the paper as I wrote my wish in it, I wished that he came back to me, I don't want to ever part with him, he was still with me now but his heart was far away.
"Why does your heart choose to fade" I asked no one as I lifted the lantern up in the air. I watched it fly higher in the sky as my gaze still locked on it.
"Won't you wait for me?" he asked as I turned to look at him, why was he different, his whole body was glowing white and I couldn't help but gawk at him.
"I would, please come back, I can't live without you" I said and he smiled at me.
"Rose, I promise I would come back" he said and I watched him vanish slowly.
"Please wait, please don't go again, I promise I would wait, please come back" I begged but he was no longer there. I knelt down as I cried, this was too painful and it was all because of me, it was because I was selfish, I didn't think about him before making a request.
"Rose what are you doing here?" Zach asked me and I turned to look at him, why is he here' I asked myself
"Nothing" I lied as I wiped my tears with the back of my hand.
"Zach, is there a way we can bring him back" I asked and Zach shook his head.
"Please if you know anything, tell me" I begged almost crying.
"Well I heard that the king of the phoenix clan has elixirs and it could help bring back the memory and also become an immortal" Zach said.
"Where do we find the phoenix clan" I asked, I was ready to do anything to bring him back.
"Rose, it's full of many illusions, the illusions are not real but they are dangerous, I heard that the king made them when he lost his daughter" Zach said.
"Why would he do that, what if one day his daughter comes looking for him?" I asked.
"The king made them because he felt the midwife was still around there somewhere" Zach said.
"Who is the midwife?" I asked.
"I am not so sure, but she abducted the baby" Zach answered.
"What baby?" I asked, I didn't know why I was interested in the baby so much.
"The baby of the king and queen" he answered.
"Whoa, that's intense why would they steal a princess?" I asked.
"The woman is a green eyed monster, she was so jealous of the queen so she took her baby to get back at her in the future" Zach said.
"So, have they found the baby?" I asked.
"I don't think so" he answered back, he doesn't know if the baby was back with them. But he knew it would be painful for their queen.
seeing your child taken away from you from child birth is so painful.
I felt someone watching us so I turned I turned to look. I saw Nathan looking at us with a very cold expression, why was he like that, he looked so freighting right now.
When he saw me he glared at me before turning back.
I ran to meet him and held his arm, he threw me a scornful look and I dropped his arm, he has never done that before and all these were so new to me.
"What are you doing?, isn't he here with you?" he asked and I arched my brow at him. what was he implying.
"What are you talking about?" I asked him but he kept walking away from me.
