Chapter 1: PROLOGUE
This story started when I welcomed my father home after he had kidnapped a young man.
I said, "Father, that person.It's unique compared to the other toys you've brought in the past."
"It's the son of an egotistical bastard", he continued, as if the term "human" could not adequately describe the individual. The prisoner may as well have beee a different species than us. "To re-educate him, I brought him here".
I recognised this man at first glance. He exuded the powerful presence of a lead character in this world.
"May I play with this toy? I will teach it properly." I said.
"Me too! Me too!!" Two cries were heard.
My younger siblings, who had both inherited the sadistic nature of my father, showed up. They grinned eagerly at the visitor, as if they were young birds aware of the presence of prey in front of them.
"Keep it in the dungeons until it learns some manners," my father said.
The guards grabbed the man by the hair at his command.
The inmate jerked back. His hands were bound with coarse rope, and he was gagged, yet he did not appear to be defeated by the situation. As he continued to resist flinching, pride appeared to flow from his physique. The blood trickling down his arms and legs didn't seem to faze him in the least. He stared at me and my family fiercely till he vanished from view.
The defiance in his gaze made me want to shiver.
One of my siblings remarked, "Oh, this toy is going to be fun!"
The other responded, "I want to play with it soon."
Yes, the prisoner. He was Cassis Pedelian, the older brother of the female lead in this novel.
While my younger siblings were thrilled to see the prisoner, I could only think of one thing.
We were fucked.
My father had raised a dead flag—a flag that symbolizes the deaths of everyone in this family—by inviting this man.
