Chapter 3: Chapter Three: Hammering Out A Plan

A metal door opened and Carrow turned his attention from his cup of water.

Max and DeeJay both walked in; DeeJay sweaty from hard work; having to manage the bases industry, and Max was staring intently at a piece of paper, words forming on the paper almost by magic.

They both sat down on their own chairs covered in Grimm fur, as Carrow promptly threw two 'Cans of Water 12oz' on the table. Two burlap bags materialized from nowhere and promptly disappeared as the two briefly glanced at the bags.

DeeJay quaffed down a gulp of water and stretched his bones. Neither of them felt fatigue or tiredness, but they still tried to sleep often for their mental health, and a glass of water with some rest can be blissful after a day of hard work.

Max for his part merely sipped on the water a thoughtful look appearing on his face, before his attention returned to the paper.

Carrow briefly cleared his throat before talking as he gather their attention. "We need to start think of a plan, and I already have a 'goal' so to speak."

Max and DeeJay stopped their actions and turned toward Carrow.

"Hmm, its something to do with the research table right? You get that 'look' in your eye when you look at it." DeeJay mumble the last sentence but they all heard it.

"Isn't the table largely useless now, we have all of the blueprints, even things that normally can't be crafted." Max stated, looking curious.

"Mmm, that would be true if we happened in a world where the level of technology is lower." Carrow's face gained a sharp smile.

Both Max and DeeJay gained enlightened looks, before changing into thoughtful ones.

"But what technologies, I know this world has those gun-hybrid things you talked about, and the air ships that ran on magic crystals, but none of that would be so truly game changing as you lead on." Max questioned.

"True, we will gain those technologies, but the one that I'm interested in is of far greater value, even more so than Atlas' robots, or their mechs. No, but one tech that we can't let out of our grasp is called Project Penny, an android, or rather gynoid with a soul." Carrow stated his smile darkening.

Their eyes widened and minds raced at lightening speed. "You want to create an army of androids, all of which will have souls and see us as their creators." Max said breathlessly.

"Correct. Yet such a thing is obviously beyond us at this juncture." Carrow frowned briefly before continuing,

"First of all, we need a sulfur or better yet a dust quarry. With a steady income of explosives and bullets we have a product. Then we will create a car, armored and with large amounts of storage space before making our way to Kou Kana." Carrow paused for a moment.

"There we will have to interact and create a deal with the White Fang; Atlas Technology for our weapons and ammo." He continued.

"Forging a deeper bond will allow us to trade for better and higher quality tech, and eventually use the White Fang as a tool to see into Atlas' darkest secrets; more importantly where the hell Penny is located." He stated with an imperious tone.

"How we get the blueprint is varied, whether by hacking or by kidnapping. Plan A is to infiltrate Atlas and Payday that mother-fucker. Plan B is to find Penny in Vale and kidnap her. Plan C; infiltrate into the Vital Festival and scavenge Penny's body and hope for the best." Carrow finished.

Carrow put in one last thought. "These plans are loose and obviously need refining, but they are the best options I can see."

Max was nodding, lost in thought, mentally checking off on how much resources were to be needed to facilitate the plan, they needed a massive amount of ammo and guns, enough to arm an army.

DeeJay was grinning, already day dreaming about a Payday Heist.
